4th or 5th visit? I am not sure! Given that Blakes Wings and Steaks has actually occupied a happy place in my heart, it seems like I've been addicted to it already.

As it's just walking distance when you're in the mood to walk and actually one tricycle away from our place, the access is so easy so yes, bye time diet!

Last weekend, the place was jam packed as expected and that says a lot about them. Good food, good service mean a jam-packed establishments.

While waiting, have tour photos taken in their backdrops with actual cooking equipment like pans, laddles, etc. wherein you can act like you are a chef. They also have this huge artwork saying •Wings - Ribs or Steaks? •

The simple, straightforward and interesting interiors will definitely get your eyes. From wallpapers painted to displays of cooking equipment to ceiling decors, they do have style and class.

We ordered 2 sets of their 12 piece Chicken Wings and chose the Sweet and Spicy Flavor paired with Wasabi Mayo (my new favorite pairs) and the Garlic Parmesan Chicken with the Honey Mustard Sauce. I guess these will be the combination that I'll always get because I already found comfort in their tastes.

The solo order of the pork ribs can actually be shared. It was extra soft, tender, and juicy, so so good with Java rice!

I gave their Grilled Salmon another try and this time it tasted better. I guess they should really be careful in making sure that it's not overcooked.

Their nice, inviting and accommodating servers are my favorites most especially when they spoil me with their complimentary crackers and I loved that haha!

Will definitely come back for more wings and yes to try other dishes too of course!

It was after a challenging climb at Mt. Paliparan when we decided to hang-out and pig-out despite our aching joints. As we were all headed back to Marikina from Tanay, Rizal, they asked my recommendations on what restaurant we should check out.

I actually had a lot in mind but I had to take into consideration the distance from where they'll be riding going home and so I decided to bring the squad at Blake's Wings and Steaks. At first, I was thinking twice because I was quite sure that it was jam-packed on a Sunday, dinner time, and yes, I wasn't wrong, but good thing they were patient enough to wait in line.

While waiting, I asked them to go over the menu and enjoy ticking off the boxes. They enjoyed a lot so yeah, we did tick off a lot of boxes - Blake's Nachos for appetizer, 2 orders of 1/2 kilograms of wings (Sweet & Spicy and BBQ with Garlic Mayo and Wasabi Mayo dips), Spaghetti with Dried Tuyo in Olive Oil for Cess, Penne in Garlic Pesto with Grilled Chicken Breast Strips for me and Abbey plus Potato Mash on the side and Glazed Pork Ribs for Anne, hungry, no?

The signature nachos were served big! It was filling already and can actually be shared by a big family. I loved how tasty the sauces were combined to the beef and the crunchy nacho chips!

The wings, as what I said before, can really be small. Good thing that they make up for the sauce that's really delicious and juicy. I was surprised that I actually loved the Sweet and Spicy flavor (really yum!) but a bit disappointed with the Wasabi Mayo dip, guess I did expect a lot from it?

The pasta servings were huge! 3-4 people can actually share in one. And mind you, they were extra yummy too! The Pesto was so good, balancing the taste of the basil leaves with the chicken's saltiness. The combination of olive oil, dried tuyo and tomatoes was so yum too! This is actually a new favorite of mine from Blake's!

The mashed potato tasted legit too! It was thick, creamy and milky, perfectly matched with the gravy that's not so generously poured.

I got to taste Anne's order and the glazed chops were really tender and soft, too. Paired with their creamy Mac and Cheese, it's another heavy meal for the real hungry ones!

Overall, my friends, and I, again and again, enjoyed the service and servings of Blake's Wings and Steaks. The value for your money will definitely go back to your stomachs and you'll surely enjoy the flavors and tastes of almost every item in their menu!

It was last Mother's Day when I visited Blakes Wings and Steaks for the 3rd time. As it's Mama and Papa's first time, we ordered mostly the items.

Given that there's a celebration, the place was jam packed and actually even if there's none, a lot of people frequent the place because I can say that their food is good.

Upon entering, they have this waiting area where you can hang-out and decide on your orders. They will give you a clipboard with a menu. You get the chance to play like a waiter/tress as you check the boxes of your orders by yourself. Nice, right?

The interiors were simple, straightforward and interesting. They have kitchen utensils displayed on walls, some DIY mini lamps and a very nice wooden wallpaper that makes you feel like you're in Manhattan.

For our orders we had the following:

GARDEN SALAD
This was really yummy despite having green leafy vegetables only. The veggies were fresh and crispy. I just hope that they'll serve them cold the next time. The sauce was really yummy. It's like a mixture of vinaigrette and mustard and the sweet taste was something I really liked.

CHICKEN WINGS
We ordered 2 sets of their 12 piece Chicken Wings and got the chance to choose the flavors and sauces. We paired Garlic Parmesan Chicken with the Honey Mustard Sauce and the Spicy BBQ Chicken with the Bleu Ranch sauce. The chicken's size were really small and a bit sad to look at to. Good thing the sauces and flavors were nice and we were able to get over with that issue. They are really good to eat with rice so better prepare yourselves. The chicken was tender and the sauce can really be tasted up to its bones. I loved the Bleu Ranch sauce the most!

PORK RIBS
The ribs were soft and really juicy. You'll be surprised that with every bite, it's as if you can already swallow them without munching. That's how soft they can get. The sauce wasn't that powerful and I really loved how they paired it with Java rice and buttered vegetables on the side.

GRILLED SALMON
I was a bit disappointed with this one as the salmon was overcooked. It was really dry and they didn't even have some melted butter on the side, just salsa that's actually tasteless. Anyway, at least now I know.

Their servers were really nice and accommodating. They even gave us unlimited servings of their complimentary crackers and I loved that haha!

Will definitely come back for more wings and yea, to try other dishes too.

I love this place. I've been coming here since it opened, and it's still delicious. 9786

Their Garden Salad had chunks of pomelo and grapes in it!

Garlic Parm wings are good, but the original Buffalo is best.

T-Bone and mashed potatoes are good, as always. Don't forget to order their garlic rice, it's delish!

If you're craving for ribs. This is where you should get your fill! For only 350 pesos, you'll enjoy 4-5 rib pieces. I can't help myself from saying "Sobrang sarap!" The hickory barbecue sauce was perfect, the meat literally fell off from its bone, it's so tender, and is best with java rice. I'll go back here just to get me some of their ribs again!!

We also tried other items on the menu. Everybody enjoyed their Garden Salad (195 pesos). I won't recommend their Garlic Parmesan wings though. It wasn't bland but it lacked a garlicky flavor. Their blue cheese dip can get better if they add more sour cream. The bbq spicy wings was okay. I was told their buffalo wings is good I might give it a try on my next visit. For 195 pesos, you can get 10-12 wings. Their porterhouse steak in original gravy is delicious! Served with mashed potato, 250 pesos, and can be shared. Again. Wow, right?!

I'll go back here for the ribs. They have pasta, burgers, salisbury steak, t-bone steak, sandwiches, nachos, seafood, and a lot more. I'm excited to try other dishes on their menu. Their food is affordable and is equally gratifying.

They're located along Gil or BF Fernando ave facing Petron which is adjacent to Shell.

Accommodating security guard in parking, very gentleman of opening the doorside of my car, greeted with a smile and finally welcomed my family with enthusiasm.

They asked first how many would dine in and arranged the table and seats upstairs. I feel like I'm in starbucks with smiley and accomodating staffs to serve you whenever I have questions on the difference and the like etc.

T-bone, porterhouse steak all original and wicked wings bbq. I'm not good in describing the taste but it's fine and better for me than in Vikings. No umay feeling. Big serving for only 230, 250 and 375 (24pcs of wings). I love their mash potato too.

I would definitely come back for salad, other dish on the menu or other flavors on steak depending on my mood. 128514

We had one hour to kill before the restaurant next door opens,  we decided to wait it out at Blakes.

We stayed at same spot during out last visit.  I told him to pick the food.  We both wanted something light.

While waiting for our food,  i decided to check the official trailer of Star Wars (yes,  im probably the last person to see it), their wifi is reliable and fast.  We checked a couple of movie trailers in you tube.  After being in awe of Harrison Ford's charm and Eddie Redmayne's superb acting (The Danish Girl),  the food was served.

Deep Fried Caramelized Onions.  The serving was huge.  Thie sweet onions are besr dipped in mayo/ketchup/tabasco dip (conceptualized by yours truly).  I liked the fact that the onions are not coated with batter,  you get to taste the sweetness on each bite.

Baked Mussels.  The last time i had baked mussels was decades ago.  I was still a kid then,  we were celebrating someone's birthday.  Why would a kid eat mussels,  you say?  I was conned into eating them, yes i was glad i got conned, i remember liking the cheese covered mussels.

Nostalgia aside.  These baked babies are awesome.  I liked the melted cheese on top.    I can't stop snacking on 'em.  Gooey cheese on top of perfectly cooked mussels.  I had a field day snacking on them.

Our second visit at Blakes was satisfying.  I got to eat a baked treat that brought back memories of childhood.

This is going to be short and sweet but I’ve tasted so many wings in my entire life from different places in the Philippnes and I’m not exaggerating when I say that this restaurant serves THE BEST BUFFALO WINGS EVER.

BEST. TASTING. BUFFALO. WINGS. EVER.

Blake's was surprisingly okay!!!
I honestly thought that the food would be blehk, but it's pretty good + the ambiance is nice!!

Onto the food review:
The ribs were okay... Average in my opinion. It's tender though which is a good thing plus the serving is big. Their mac and cheese were okay. Nothing special with it though so..

Loved their parmesan cheese flavored wings!! For 195php i think it's worth the money. I also loved their edgy wedgy!! Fries were soft and flavorful which is awesome!!!

Overall, i think it was okay. Their food is not something that i would crave for though but all is well.

I tried the Pork Ribs Solo and its great! I love the tenderness of the meat falling from the bone and how soft and juicy it is. Price is just right if you'll ask me.

For the service, i thought they need to be asked for another round of the bottomless iced tea, but then later, they come and go automatically to refill your glass.

Ambience is also good. Not cold neither hot on the "indoor dining" on the second floor. Next time we'll try out the "outdoor dining" on the rooftop.

My wife ordered a Mac en Cheese and its also great!

The Wicked Wings are very tasty! We tried the "sweet and spicy". We loved the right mix of sweetness and the right spicyness of the chickens.

We will definitely be going back and this will be saved in my "Maps". I will truly recommend this place.

For American comfort food that will surely take all your stress away and satisfy the cravings that you've been dying to feed, Blake's Wings & Steaks can be the next stop for you!

I ordered their Pork Ribs for lunch. It has three slices of grilled to perfection ribs, tasty and juicy enough, really perfect with their Java rice. The dish comes with two sides, corn and carrots and sauteed beans that balanced the strength of the pork along with the veggies! 128077🏼

Excellent value for money.

In photo:
Porterhouse steak - It was good! We had it served medium well. It came with buttered greens and corn, plus a mound of the tastiest mashed potato I have ever had. 128525 Seriously, it was smooth and creamy, without being "nakakaumay". And the gravy slathered over it made it even better without being overpowering. The steak itself was delish, cooked just right, and the peppercorn gravy was just absolutely lovely.

Buffalo wings (hot) - it was forgettable. Not the least bit at par with dedicated wings joints. And the heat was barely there. Taste-wise, it was okay. But it's more like ordinary homestyle fried chicken wings that buffalo wings.

Will come back for sure, but I'm sticking with the steaks next time. 128517
