Three weeks before our trip, I started searching for places to stay in PPS. I narrowed down my picks to 4, inquired and asked for their rates. After a couple of days of deliberation, we chose Blue Lagoon. Since we were a group of 8 then, we needed 2 small villas (good for 2) and a family villa (good for 5). They gave us 10% off for early booking and after settling the 50% down payment, I received an email the next day telling me that they have upgraded one of the small villas to a big villa for free. They also gave us a discount for the the tour, so instead of Php 1540 each, we only had to pay Php 1400 per head. We felt like it was a great deal since we got discounts and all that, and judging by the pictures from Agoda and Facebook, the place really looks nice.

Most of us were really excited for the trip, but unfortunately someone had to back out. I had to ask about canceling one of the villas 5 days before our scheduled trip but was told that it was already too late. We had no choice but to pay 1 1/2 day and opted for an early check out instead. When we got there everything seemed alright, but after the second night, the aircon in the big villa got busted. We had to ask the front desk to do something about it and was told that they will fix it ASAP. We were out most of the day and when we came back, we were told that what caused the malfunctioning was pressing the turbo button on the remote. Seemingly convinced with the explanation and feeling confident that they fixed the aircon already, we went back to our villas then headed out again for an early dinner. After dinner, the aircon started malfunctioning again, so the occupants had to ask to be transferred to another villa. Imagine the hassle of packing and transferring everything on your last night instead of just getting some rest.

Upon checking out, the occupants were still quite calm while voicing out their concerns, but the thing is, their staff started pointing at each other since none of them wanted to take the blame, instead of admitting that the aircon was really busted beforehand and it wasn't just pressing the wrong button.
It really would have been a better stay had they not upgraded us for free, only to find out that they were giving us a headache. 128533
