I love vegetables, but I feel kind of iffy about veggie meat. But my date wanted us to have a quick lunch at Bodhi (he's been a long-time Bodhi fan), so I went along with him, para na rin ma-try ko. I was glad that I didn't push myself and recommended we should eat somewhere else (which I usually do whenever we go out hehehe).

We chose a ₱119 meal consisting of two viands, one cup of rice, and a drink. I went for a sweet-and-sour "pork" and a tofu-and-bok choi stew combo meal while my date chose a ginisang ampalaya and "beef" broccoli combo meal.

At first bite of my sweet-and-sour dish, I could not believe that it was an imitation pork (gluten, actually). Imagine had I not been told that this was a vegetarian dish, I won't really know. But later on I could discern the starchy afterbite. But well, what could you expect from a vegetarian place? But it was really a tasty and yummy dish.

However, I preferred my other viand, the tofu and bok choi stew -- all natural, no fake meat or gluten there, it was a light but flavorful meal. Kulang na lang ung tausi o black beans. Loved loved loved the tofu.

My date also let me try his "beef" broccoli. And know what? The chunks were so tender... the texture was almost like a beef brisket's or a beef sirloin's. Amaaazing! 128522

Since it was my first time at Bodhi, I couldn't help but be really amused (and delighted) seeing all those veggie meats, most especially the barbecue -- parang totoong pork BBQ talaga hihihihi nakakatuwa. 128513 Next time I will partner that with their pancit canton. Their lumpiang sariwa looked yummy too (I just took a photo of it but never ordered it, so sa susunod try ko rin yan).

Affordable, healthier, quick Filipino favorite meals is what Bodhi offers. I always pair up chopseuy with anything their veggie meat can do- Afritada, Kare Kare and my favorite Curry. Php 119 for two viands, rice and a drink, it's a good enough treat. The meats taste like well, chicken.

Veggies disguised as pork/meat...and even taste exactly like those! 128563 That's what you get here in Bodhi 128077

Everything from their menu is 100% veggies! They actually use gluten for their "meat" and it actually tastes so good 128077 Even carnivores won't know that it's veggies they're eating 128522 Their food ranges from "pork" barbeque to "beef" broccoli, kaldereta and other typical ulam 128522

This is definitely one of my food court favorites and I love how I don't feel guilty eating here! 128523
