Last year's anniversary was more organized and they limited the boxed orders to two per person, they probably want to cash in more this year that is why there is no more limit on the number of boxes an individual can purchase. Service level has deteriorated so as the food. I had bad experiences on both SM City BF and Festival Mall branches on the same day so let me start off with my horror story in my home turf... SM City BF. On a normal day, this place is empty. But today, man are they packing up! The lines are not so bad, the waiting time is quite manageable (45 minutes to 1 hour), what I disliked is how they managed to screw my simple order of boxed meal of drum/thigh. I ordered the said parts with GARLIC. After waiting a good 1 hour, i got my order and they glazed it in Soy! The parts are are also miniscule. I don't want to wait again so I just left disappointed. The tables are in disarray, messy. It's a war zone, I tell you! Avoid like the plague. (Festival Mall branch review coming up next).

The food here is sometimes a hit or miss. But i still like it anyway. When it comes to plain chicken with no thick flour coating or anything that will hide it or make it look big then this is the place. Chicken with just a thin coating of sauce but still crunchy. Now I understand why Chicken and beer is popular in Korea. But sometimes the taste is only on the outside. I wish they would somehow also infused the sauce inside the chicken meat thru marinating. Or just marinate it with simple fish sauce. I also tried their Bibimbowl and I love it! I think it nearly resembles the taste of authentic bibimbap because of the sauce i guess. Some might not like the strong flavor but it depends if you are into spicy and sour foods . Chapchae was also terrific but a little sweet. Anyway, i really think Korean foods are healthy because most of it have fresh veggies. That's a plus point right! So this is always one of my go to fast food. The price may be much higher compared to other fast food so the choice is up to you 128522

Guess who has something new to offer? 128522

Aside from the popular korean fried chicken, Bon Chon also creates new dishes to keep their line of products interesting.

As we walked towards the place, I was already imagining the spicy fried chicken in my mouth. When I was about to give my order, this small (quite effective) standee captured my attention. It was convincing me to get the Bibimbowl. I guess I was vulnerable at that time. 128529

They have 2 price options. If you get the ala carte version, it's for Php99. But of course since I was trying this for the first time, I got the bundle. It comes with a soup, which I loved if I may add, and a drink. The meal pack is at Php155.

Bibimbowl is a play of the word Bibimbap, a classic korean dish which literally means mixed rice. It usually consists of rice, egg, kimchi, and other magical ingredients that'll surely satisfy your palate. This is normally served in a bowl, hence, BibimBOWL. Heh. 128513

Their bibimbowl is not the usual bibimbap you eat at korean restos but is still surprisingly good. For that amount, your bowl is filled with nine distinctively delicious ingredients – Hot steamy rice, pickled carrots, crunchy seaweed, delectable egg strips, garlic bits, sesame seeds, leeks. You can also choose between Chicken or Beef. I chose the chicken out of curiosity 128522128513128513128513

The soup that was served to me was hot and flavourful. And they didn't scrimp on the ingredients. It had glass noodles and tofu and the meat was really good. Reminded me of the meat I enjoy whenever I have my Japanese shabu-shabu fix. 128522 It was far from being a medjas soup. 128539

As customary to korean food, everything had an intense flavout but I didn't mind because all the ingredients meld well and created this one absolutely satisfying dish.

The chicken could use a little more crunch, though. 128522

Finally tried the bibimbowl which people at the office raved a bit about before. Not really sure how long ago. First of all, what caught my eye, was the price. In fairness to them, it was sold at the same price with their other chicken selections. Not bad considering this had more ingredients and color. Anyway, got the chicken variant but they also sold a beef variant. Found the sauce too strong. I had to put aside some of it since it was overpowering the whole dish. I think it would have been fine if the bowl had more rice in it but the rice was not doing a good job in offsetting the strong flavor coming from the sauce. Other than that felt the dish offered a lot of balance (after i scooped out some of the sauce). It was good but i wish it had more meat in it.

A tip to this particular branch, i know cleanliness should be very high in any resto's list of priorities as this can be looked at as an indication of the sanitation of the food as well. But, at the same time, safety should be very high in any workplace for employees and customers. So i really don't get why of all time slots, this particular branch decided to mop the floor during lunch time. I was there at 12:30, smack in the middle of a peak hour and i had to walk very carefully given the very slippery floor. They just mopped the area where the queue was when i ordered. Not really the best judgment this branch has made. Hohum. Could've been a disaster if people were not very conscious and careful.

That's it my friends. Take care and stay mahusay!

What brought me to Parañaque? A potluck dinner with close friends. I have mixed feelings towards Bon Chon over the years. Quality of the chicken dwindled as their popularity grew. But every now and then they come up with new items on the menu to entice customers. Case in point, The Crispy Chicken Fingers.

I love dem deep fried chicken fillet encased in flavorful breading. Crispy on the outside and perfectly cooked chicken on the inside. I like that they offere offbeat flavors for the dip. Miso Sesame Ranch Dip anyone?

I ain't gonna lie, this is best paired with rice. If you are counting calories, this is best eaten sans the carbs.

The baby sister has been craving for Bon Chon for weeks and we finally decided to give in to her incessant requests despite the fact that we had different cravings. #PerksOfBeingTheBunso

Anyway, we had the seafood group meal thingy (forgot what it's really called) but yeah it was really affordable considering the fact that it was seafood. For less than a thousand, we got a whole basket of fish, shrimp and calamares. The meal also includes a bowl of chap chae, rice, 2 side dishes and 4 drinks. Perfect fit for us if you'd ask me.

The only thing I liked in the seafood set was the fish, their shrimp tempura was mainly four and probably ¼ an actual shrimp. The calamares was kinda chewy for my taste and it was kind of salty despite the fact that everything was glazed with honey citrus.

We added an order of chicken fries and I ate that with the chap chae. Because I was so iffy about how I'm just eating flour with the shrimp they served.

For some reason I think the quality of food from bon chon is depleting. I really used to love eating here. Either that or my taste just upgraded to a new level. 128514

Nonetheless it was a good-enough meal.

How can I resist?!
Those are chicken wings, bitches! Hahaha 128020

As what I always say, "BonChon, kahit araw-arawin!" 128541 Me and my boyfriend love their chicken. That ones that are spicy, most especially. Though boyfie always orders for soy garlic.
The flavor is not just in its skin but to the bones. 128513

I don't mind going back here time and time again. Even every after shift since it's inside our work bldg.
It's just soooo good! 10084

I gave it 4 stars not because of the food but due to service. It takes a loooong time for them to serve the orders. They'll give you 15-20minutes wait time but damn, that's too much wait for a hungry hippo. Hope they can improve on this one. 9996🏼️

The new crispy garlic flavor was good. Sweet, salty, and really crispy. Just a bit more garlicky than the soy one.

When this Korean fastfood chain became a hit, of course, I had to try it. So, one time me and my family went to Mall of Asia to find out what it has to offer, and it didn't disappoint my Mom. She loved it so much that we went to MOA twice a week just to eat at BonChon and have coffee after.

Now that there's a branch in SM BF, there is no reason for me to forget the taste of its Soy Garlic-flavored chicken. Although not as frequent as before, I eat here whenever I'm not in the mood for Jollibee, McDonald's, or KFC. After all, SM BF only has a limited selection of fastfood restaurants.

I like their fries, Chapchae, and Soy Garlic Chicken, not to mention the taste of their iced tea. The Honey Citrus flavored one, however, didn't satisfy my palate.

I am yet to try their crepes and frozen yogurts, which I look forward to indulge really soon.

Is it just me or the service and quality of food of BonChon gone bad?

The food wasn't as good as I remember it was and the crew kept going back and fort to double check the orders. It's like they never listened to what I said in the first place. Hmm, or maybe it's because it's a new branch.

Nonetheless the Mango Crispy Crepe with Frozen Yogurt was good. 128525

-2 Stars for poor and slow service and not-so-good chicken. 128530

I like Soy Garlic Chicken a lotttt. It's so good that I was motivated to try making one at home. It was a success cus I used McCormick Soy Chicken breading - the difference though was mine only had taste for the outer part of the chicken. And, none on the inside. Hehe. First timer! 128557

I'd rate Bonchon Chicken a three cus, the service is far too longggg. They would ask u naman, "in 20 mins. po" as courtesy. But dang it's just too long haha. I like their Fish Fillets too, really yummy inside out! I guess if you're a heavy eater, sobrang mabibitin ka with their meal of Php150(?) for 2 pcs. chicken (drumstick & thigh) and rice. I loveeeee their Chap Chae too! Worth it for Php 75 only! 10084

No pic, dyahe to take pics right now, haha! 128523

Got a hankering for chicken, picked Bonchon over KFC due to the line... Hehe128540 syempre factor ang pag-iintay pag gutom...

I keep ordering the soy garlic chicken, I just like the flavor!128513 getting the leg or breast decreases your caloric consumption (vs the chops, more skin and increased fried surface area)! But the garlicky flavor isn't going to be that pronounced....128563

Their Caesar salad is okay, but the dressing is bitin! They include enough chicken, when you choose to add it on... But the serving is kinda bitin if you are really hungry...

I also like their iced tea!128077 on the sweet side, so I wait for all the ice to melt...128522

I'm going back to Starbucks after my meal! Going on a looloo diet as well! Bawasan muna ang pag-looloo!!! 128522

I knew things wouldn't be the same given a few more weeks. We were served with really foul-smelling Honey Citrus chicken wings. :( Had to have it replaced by Soy Garlic which felt like old meat. :(

Only reason for the 2nd star was because Zoë enjoyed their iced tea.

This branch is spacious compared to most. Service needs a little polishing, but give them time, they just opened.:)

It was my first time to try the honey citrus chicken. I think I'm liking it better than the soy garlic and spicy!!!
