I watched Star Trek Beyond here with my work wife, and it was a first time for both of us to try the 4dx. The seats are nice and the special effects (such as the mist) were cool. And it was fun trying to fudge your way through Sabotage while it's blasting over the speakers. But the chair motion might not be for everyone - I got almost nauseous with all the turns. If you have even a hint of past experience with motion sickness, either take a Bonamine or skip this theatre altogether - just go for the regular ones.

Was my 2nd time for a 4dx. So tonight was the usual friday traffic surge till rooftop night. Instead of going out for a drink, went to watch train to busan at 4dx. It didnt provide any polarized glass so its 3dx for me or maybe 2dx. 128522

I think they should have posted somewhere that hot drinks are not allowed coz i have to finish mine before the movie starts. Sucks 128522

Unlike my 1st visit here, the smell of the new seats were gone, but it was still well maintained. My advised is not to take full meal before movietime coz the seats gets really rocky, i feel that my body has been shaken for like 2 hours. Of course it depends on the movie.

Ugly pic ikr
The much awaited Suicide Squad movie...

The place is ok. Seats were comfortable enough however it's much more pricey here. The ticket costs PhP300 (some are PhP280) and it's just a little too pricey compared to other cinemas. The thing is: its crowd.

Knowing it's BGC, it's different from SM--I got a ticket and saw it was full, however during the movie time, two seats at my left and one seat at my right was empty-- they could afford to miss a PhP300 ticket.

Well, good for me.
The movie was a four for me--the characters' storylines were exciting. But the whole thing-- uhm...

A little spoiler:
Not all will survive.

Second time to watch a movie in this movie house. This movie house has a really good sound system (Dolby Atmos) though a little bit too loud when the trailers were being played. I dunno if it was because we were only 9 inside during the last full show.

They also have the 4DX, I think it was the first in the country way back then. I happen to experience it also during my first time here. It will make you feel like you are really part of the movie since aside from the sounds and the scenes, you get to feel and smell some parts of the movie (I remembered smelling a murky sewer scene from "The Poltergeist" when I watched it here).

Tip: Remember to get a parking coupon after buying a movie ticket. It will save you some pesos for the parking fees.

Watched Me Before You on the first day of screening coz I'm too excited! Read the book and was hoping that the movie will not disappoint. The movie was a good adaptation. If you've read the book, expect tweaks here and there especially towards the end but nothing major. Also expect some major book details missing in the movie. But then, IMO, it was a pretty good adaptation. I still cried buckets even if I already did while reading the book.

Now, onto the cinema ---

It was my first time here and I was amazed by the number of restaurants lining up the Cinema Floor Area.

Got our tickets and was a little worried since the cinema (Cinema 1 ATMOS) was almost full when we got our tickets for the next screening but when we got into the cinema, it didn't matter. There was a huge space between the screen and the front row seats! Chairs were fully cushioned providing ultimate comfort and support for your head, neck, arms, back and even your legs! You can recline and put the foot rest up. Very comfortable and relaxed way to watch a movie.

The movie house wasn't cramped, lots of space between seats and they have couple chairs too!

Love this cinema! Bringing the kids here very soon lol

BGC showcasing the landmarks of the world. Eifel tower of Paris, Merlion of Singapore, Leaning Tower of Pisa from Italy and the Louvre of France. Take a stroll and see them 128526. I havent seen them all yet.

I used to frequent cinemas on a weekly basis but after moving to Fort Bonifacio and realizing how expensive it is to watch movies on big screen, I started to patronize online streaming. I get to watch unlimited movies for a fixed cost. But I still make sure that I watch the most anticipated movies in cinemas for me to fully appreciate the cinematography.

And I did when I watched… Deadpool. Yes, this is part of my backlog.

We had lunch at Morganfield’s then to celebrate my birthday and since it was still early to bid adieu, we decided to watch the talked about Marvel movie.

We planned to watch in Uptown Mall since we were there already but the schedules then were too spaced out. The next screening was at 10 PM! And it was just 1 PM then. Since the wait was too long, we moved to BGC Central Mall.

We luckily got tickets for the next screening which will start in less than half an hour.

While waiting, we got some light snacks from Family Mart and that is when I discovered this bottled milk tea which was pretty good! I’ve seen it years ago but never bother to buy one. Anyway, back to the cinema…

I love Central Mall’s cinemas as the seats are wide enough for me and my bag. The cinema tends to be very cold though so make sure that you bring a jacket or shawl. Or bring your human teddy bear for some warm hugs. 10084

Oh, and if you like watching Marvel movies, ALWAYS finish the credits for extra scenes. 128513

We tried the 4Dx cinema last night for the first night screening of Civil War. It was like the movie rides in Universal Studios. You move with the movie to make you feel like you're there in the scene. I even smelled coffee when the scene shows someone making coffee. It was a good first experience but I don't think I'll do this often though, at P520 per ticket, it's too expensive.

Ever since my office moved to Fort Bonifacio, most if not all of my weekend routines sort of moved to BGC too. I used to frequent Shangri-La whenever I have to buy some necessities or when I feel like watching a movie or two. Now... I frequent SM Aura for groceries and Central Square for movies. But let's focus on Central Square's cinemas here. 128513

I still recall my first 4DX experience. It was sooooo awesome! There were a few shakes and gust of wind on the first 30 second mark. Aiiiieeeee!!! [Note: I watched Jurassic World.]

I was so happy when my seat shook. I waited so long for the right movie for my first 4DX experience. I wanted to make sure that I get my PHP450 worth. And I definitely did.

The theaters are really clean with ample leg room. Seats are comfortable and if you're with your special someone, you can snuggle by raising the armrest and turn your seats into a love seat! 128521 The theaters could be a bit chilly for some so bring a jacket or cardigan just to be safe.

Food from nearby establishments are allowed. But we usually buy from Family Mart for popcorn and quick drinks.

Oh, curious with what the control room looks like? Lookie here! Yes, I managed to enter one after winking at the control person. 128514 (Kidding! We sponsored one show before and I was in charge of the whole thing, which includes running the AVP.)

When it comes to movie theatres, i usually prefer Greenbelt. But when proximity and laziness is an issue, i just walk a couple of blocks and watch at BGC.

Anyway, this is a super late review. I watched Luc Besson's Lucy here with a friend eons ago. Quiet crowd, i don't have unleash the beast with rowdy moviegoers. Comfy seats and oh, it gets a lil cold...so wear a hoodie or bring piping hot coffee as your beverage.

Watched Peter Pan at Central Square before. Super late review but since I want that Movie Buff badge...here goes... 128514

It was my first time in BHS Cinemas and I liked the experience. I was happy BPI had that promo, making my movie ticket for free. Yay!

One thing I can remember is that the couches were nice but a bit uncomfortable for a six-footer like me. 128517 audio-visuals were one of the best.. 128077🏻

The Peter Pan movie was okay. Quite underwhelming and not what I expected.

Also.... Movie Buff Badge unlocked!!! woohoo |

While the La-Z-Boy viewing concept is a good one, it's just not for me. Hard to watch a movie with your chin on your chest and a crick in your neck. The leather seats are comfortable enough, but would prefer to just raise my legs instead of fully reclining back. The motorized chairs allow for both.

But unfortunately the screen was a little small and the Dolby Atmos surround sound wasn't loud enough. Strained to hear some of the dialogue at times. And for Php400 a head, it costs too much to be disappointed. The recliners in Shang, Eastwood or Resorts World Manila are more worth the price. 128531

PS If you're a little financially savvy and appreciate flicks like Boiler Room, Wolf of Wall Street and, well, Wall Street, you'd like The Big Short, which is about the GFC of 2008.

2nd PS: the oil glut is gonna turn sideways soon and things're gonna turn from bad to worse all over again 128557

The best cinema in the country so far.

If seeing a movie in 3D or 4D, I'd prefer to experience it here in a 4Dx theatre. The ticket price is only at least a hundred bucks difference from that of an IMAX or Director's Club, plus you get to enjoy a variety of restos and movie food from the nearby retailers. Not to mention that there's ample parking and shops to go to, if waiting.

It's generally a bit pricey, yes, but the whole ambiance before, during, and after the film is worth it.

To talk like Jedi Master Yoda, much to learn, i still have, so practice, i must. 128514

Star Wars: The Force Awakens in 4D-- to watch the movie for the Nth time, a legit excuse, this really is.

3D glasses, moving seats, lightning and wind effects, we thoroughly enjoyed.. but that scent sprayed over and over, death for us, it sure was! Dead centipede, it smelled like. 128565

Effects like smoke, heat, water splash, and more of those ankle ticklers, i wish they would add. But fun and awesome 4D experience, it still was. 128516

It's true. All of it. The Dark Side, the Jedi. They're real.10084️ No spoilers. Don't worry.

When Carrie Fisher and Harrison Ford stepped onto the Millennium Falcon there was a hush on set as everyone felt nostalgic and in awe that they were back filming for Star Wars decades later to fulfill George Lucas' vision of an epic movie series. MOO, I and our son have marathon-ed Episodes I-VI at least 15 times. That one scene where Han & Leia meet after years of separation almost made a tear roll down my face.

It was difficult to purchase tickets from Sure Seats. My reservation kept coming out as errors right after I clicked on pay. I even called the hotline but they said all we have to do is wait for it to work. We then personally purchased our tickets for the 12/17 11:45 PM screening on the counter on 12/14. We're happy they allowed pre-purchases. This movie is only showing until the 24th because of the MMFF so we wanted to make sure we watched it already.

All seats are ok here. Eye level is F-G. I've stayed on row A and its still an ok view. Unlike Aura's cinema where any seat other than the center eye level area is terrible. Aura also said they would only allow pre-purchases a day before the screening for this movie.

We arrived 10:50 PM but all the stores in the building were closed except for Mr. Frank's. We wanted coffee so we headed to Bo's across the street to get some. Escalators going up were not working! Don't know if the management forgot about this last full show. Buti na lang the elevator was functioning.

Parking was easy in the basement. But wow, we were charged 200 pesos. 100 for the first 3 hours and 100 for every hour after. Dislike!!!

There's a small gallery of Collectors Edition paintings for sale in the lobby made by LA-based Rodel Gonzalez, the only Filipino painter authorized by Disney to paint for Star Wars. There are only about 30 official Disney artists in the world allowed to artistically interpret their movies. It's only available for viewing until the 20th. Some paintings have been sold already.

"Turn your weapons to the capitol"

My boyfriend kept on bugging me to watch Katniss. Since we had a lot to do on a Saturday, I decided to schedule it the next day.

We reserved five lazy boy seats at bgc cinema. We purchased it in advance. Aside from errands we had, all seats were taken already.

It's my new favorite cinema. It's so relaxing. You can really extend your feet. Like you're already lying in bed. The ventilation is perfect too. Great sound.

Watched hunger games finale. And it doesn't disappoint as well. My mom and my boyfriend even fell asleep. As it is that relaxing. 128514 Not that the movie was a bit boring. 128514 The movie run for more or less two hours.

A little expensive tho. But for me, it's worth it. Big screen, relaxing seat, spacious, good ventilation and good movie. Tho there's no free popcorn. 128514128517

PS.

I felt sad when Finnick died. Huhu! Haha! Spoiler.
