PSA: Bono Junkies! The gelato cookie is back!

I got the salted caramel variant. It is heaven on every bite. The cookie is chewy and goes well with the gelato.

What up!  Gelato Junkies!  Bono's Featured Flavor for November is none other than... Movie Night.

I've never heard of this flavor before.  I was looking at their standee for x number of minutes wondering why this flavor is non-existent in my foodie brain.  Anyway,  this flavor uses a vanilla base,  some chocolate covered potato chips,  caramel sauce and malt balls.  The chips might sound odd but once you taste it,  all your doubts will vanish to thin air.  Im probably biased as i like chocolate covered potato chips as it is the personification of sweet x savory.  Biases aside,  i liked movie night as it is not too sweet,  even the malt balls they used.  The consistency of the gelato is impeccable as always.

Bono,  you are giving me more reasons to love you.

I'm always on the look out for BONO's scoop of the month coz it's very sulit! Imagine paying only 80Php per scoop vs the usual 130 or 150Php, scoop of the month is a pretty good deal!

For September, Burnt Salted Caramel takes the center stage. Most sweet tooth would agree that salted caramel is such a genius creation! The sweet and salty combination is just so irresistible. BONO's take in a gelato form was fantabulous! Loved the smooth and creamy salted caramel ice cream, the deep burnt sugar taste and the addicting sweetness. Believe me sweet tooth foodies when I say that ONE SCOOP IS NOT ENOUGH 128557128557128557

Get it in a cup or get messy with a cone, either way, it's knock out good! Oh and don't forget the thick caramel drizzle that's screaming sweetness! If the gelato sounds too sweet for you, better skip the sauce.

I love you BONO!!! 128514

Hear ye! Hear ye! Featured flavor for the month of September is.... Burnt Salted Caramel!

Salt x Caramel is a flavor combination is not known to many couple of years back. Artisan ice cream joints made it a household name. Bono Gelato recognised the trend and created their own version.

Burnt Salted Caramel. It's a tad to sweet for my liking but i admire the creamy texture - smooth and velvety. The caramel flavor is prominent, the salt tones down the sweetness. I think the sweetness will be lessened if i skip the caramel sauce... I'll try that on my next visit.

I was curious as to how this taho version would taste like. Finally tasted it. Their taho gelato tastes exactly like taho! A cold taho 128513 it's sweet when eaten on its own with the pearls and sugar syrup.

Butterscotch x  Beer x Pretzel = Butterbeer Gelato.

This is the featured flavor of Bono for July.  I was still high with Freezer Burn's butter ice cream and when i saw Butterscotch,  i suddenly found myself at the counter getting a scoop.

Everyone knows that Bono is my absolute favorite when in comes to Gelato.  I tried almost all their flavors except for Butterbeer.   I am no Harry Potter fanatic (no disrepect Potterheads) and i dunno how BB should taste like.  I gotta say that BB in gelato form is yummy.  Subtle bitterness from the from the fermented drink and good ole butterscoth flavours.

This is the first of many butter related reviews,  as i am currently having a Butter Malady.  Call the doctor.

I've always been a member of Team Ovaltine when i was a kid. I remember Grams scolding me for finishing almost half of the jar when i was in gradeschool. Yes, i like my ovaltine sans the agua. Milo is okay too but me being a kid and sugar deprived always prefer Ovaltine because it is sweeter.

Anyway, the review ain't about Ovaltine. What's featured is Bono's Milo Dinosaur. Bono is still number one when it comes to churning the baddest gelato in the planet. How they come up with amazing flavors is an anomaly. All i can say is thay MD bought back memories of childhood. Creamy, chocolatey and nostalgic.

A quick dessert fix after a very heavy dinner. Hubby wanted the S'mores and I took a few spoonfuls of the creamy yummy gelato. I really liked the chocolate that was folded in, and the graham crackers too. The transaction was speedy and we devoured the cup in a few minutes.

I finally got my hands on the taho gelato and loved it! It was perfect and tasted just like taho but in gelato form. Soy milk gelato, with sago, and coco syrup - genius!!!

And yep, had to do the standard holding ice cream in front of the leafy/grassy background shot for posterity too. 128513

Took advantage of the P80 promo last month and ordered a scoop of taho gelato. I've tried this years ago when they first launched it but weird that they didn't put sago that time. 128529

Soy milk based gelato topped with sago and coco syrup. This tasted legit!!! The consistency of the gelato was not as creamy and sweet as their other flavors, but it's the sago and coco syrup that made it taste exactly like taho! 128525

So happy it's back and hoping it stays on their menu! 9786

I only ordered the Taho flavor gelato and I was not disappointed! I love the distinct flavor of soy and the choco syrup mimicking the sweet arnibal. One scoop costs P80. A bit expensive for the size but it's all worth it. Few seats available here so it's better for take out.

Taho is more than just a childhood favorite for me. Even now, I always buy a cup whenever I see a Taho vendor. It's so simple but so yummy. The first time I tried this Taho Gelato from BONO, I instantly loved it! But then it's a seasonal flavor that's being showcased usually during summer time. Now that it's back, I'm one happy kid!

For the entire month of April, the Taho Gelato is on promo - only 80Php per scoop! It will still be offered after April but it'll be sold at it's regular price of 150Php per scoop starting May 01.

Yesterday, I made sure to catch the promo before it's gone. I got a single scoop and after taking a snapshot, I dug in and ahhh... TASTES LIKE THE REAL THING! It's made up of soy milk, topped with sago and drizzled with coco syrup. Each spoonful was like having the real thing, only this is cold. The texture is a little icy, compared to the usual BONO gelato but that's okay coz they used soy milk here and that could have made the difference? Eh?

Another thumbs up creation from BONO! I just wish this could stay in their menu longer 128542

Taho and Mango Ube Symphony 128149128149

Last week, I felt like I'm entitled to eat anything I want for surviving the very tiring and stressful week. Right after work, I went straight to aura. The last time I went here, it was sold out and I have to wait for 20 minutes for another batch. 128529128557

Finally, Taho and Mango Ube Symphony Gelato. 128525128525128525

My aunt and I enjoyed both flavors but we liked the Taho gelato more. It tastes exactly like the real one except this one is a cold version. Soy + Sago + Arnibal = the best!!! Really really enjoyed this one! 128077🏼

The Mango Ube Symphony was also good with slices of sweet Philippine mangoes and ube!! 128156

Loved how both flavors are not too sweet!!! 128513128513

Btw, the taho gelato is only available for the month of April for just 80 pesos/scoop. Super sulit, guys!!! Normally, single scoop costs around 120-150 so this is a very good deal! If you like taho, you should try this soon! Before it's too late!! 128521

I love taho and I can't live without ice cream. And a gelato place had a brilliant idea to combine the two because, why not?!

Hello, Bono Gelato!

It has been quite a while since I last visited. I think my last visit was two years ago! And since I have been seeing a lot of Taho ice cream posts. I have to try it myself. 127846

Tahooooo! One scoop please. I never thought I'd use taho and scoop in the same sentence. 128514

A cup of Taho ice cream costs PHP80. Not bad as it is actually cheaper compared to those artisanal gelato or homemade ice cream shops.

After paying for my cup and taking a few snaps here and there, I took a big spoonful (or teaspoonful) and it... tasted just like taho. 128561

The base had a bit of soy taste and the syrup was spot on as the delectable (and most requested for "extra") melted brown sugar. The tapioca balls or sago though was my concern. It seemed that it was not cooked well. Instead of chewy, the tapioca balls were hard in the middle. 128547 Well, it wasn't too hard for it not to be edible but sad to say, Manong magtataho has better pearls. (-1 star for you.)

P.S. This is not related to Bono Gelato but figured you might be interested to know that Forever 21 is giving away FREE COTTON CANDY to customers who purchase PHP1,500 worth of merchandise. 127852127853

Taho is a Philippine snack food made of fresh soft/silken tofu, arnibal (sweetener and flavoring), and sago pearl (similar to tapioca pearls). This staple comfort food is a signature sweet and taho peddlers can be found all over the country.

I've always liked taho.  I sti remember the name of our suki,  Mang Fidel.  He passes by our street at in the morning with his signature baritone -  Taho!  Music to my ears,  lola would make a deal,  i get my sweet treat as long as i sleep during siesta.  Like any other kid,  i always say yes.

I got giddy when i found out that Bono has a Taho flavored gelato.  Off to Aura i go.  I guess they have an ongoing promo because one scoop is only php 80!  Sweet deal.  It still boggles me up to this day how they make awesome flavor combinations (try mango ube symphony and cereal milk).   This is taho in gelato form,  they got it all covered, the tapioca and arnibal and the gelato itself.  Gah!  This is soooo good.

If you want a lil trip down memory lane,  head on over to Bono and get a scoop of yout favourite childhood treat.

Forgive my thumb but this was just the only picture I had a while ago. After having a blast at Food on Four, I was unbelievably still craving for dessert and there it was, Bono Gelatos. I'm not a big fan of ice creams but Carmel's Best is on top of my list. I was overwhelmed on what to choose so I just picked the Pistachio flavored one. Playing safe huh. But still, It was a but fun. The crispy waffle got me feeling like a kid again. It was crunchy and tasty, just the way it should be. The gelato was good too, but it didn't surpass Carmel's best. But Still, visit them at SM AURA PREMIERE. The prices are steep, just like the usual ice cream parlors, but it it wort it!

Bono makes one of the best tasting gelatos in the metro. I remember getting my first order in their Makati branch like it was yesterday. I was in such a gloomy mood then and Bono literally lifted my spirit from the deathly embers of despair. My | review of that experience was one of the best I've written. Ehem. In short, mahilig lang talaga ako sa ice cream/gelato.

I shared a double scoop of butterbeer gelato with pretzels with my son. It was a no brainier to pick, him with his obsession with Harry Potter. The pretzels were a surprise. It was not that crunchy anymore but had a nice, soft, somewhat chewy, slightly crunchy exterior. It wasn't salted as I though and had sugar bits too.

I tried their award winning Mango Ube Symphony. Their ube is indeed very different from that artificially flavored purple ice cream sold in tubs in the supermarkets. Anyone craving for a tropical flavor might like this.

Too bad I missed the visit of master gelatiere Giacomo Schiavon. I saved the date on my calendar but I couldn't go because of a last minute out-of-town trip. Did anyone go? I'm curious as to what he made.

Their gelatos (not ice cream) are made with all-natural ingredients, no preservatives, nothing artificial. In terms of pricing, Bono is one of the more expensive ice cream / gelato places out there, with a scoop selling at 130 pesos. The amount you pay depends on your choice from their signature, premium or limited edition flavors. Carousel only sells their for a flat 80.

Can | please bring back the Bono special. Please128591🏻9786

BONO SM AURA is having a gelato sale! Score their Milo Dinosaur for only 80Php per scoop! Quite a steal for me coz this is my daughter's favorite flavor!

We got 2 scoops and even if they were on sale, the quality was the same! Super thick and rich, creamy and not too sweet! Oh so much love for BONO!

I don't mind spending a lot for Bono. A single scoop may seem expensive to some but the flavors make up for every single penny.

Got single scoop of the award winning Mango Ube Symphony. Regular price is php 150, slash off php 30 for the promotion. Bono always delivers, the flavor is on point, this is the love child of ripe Guimaras mangoes and Good Shepherds Ube Halaya (not sure if they used the aforementioned brand) . It tastes heavenly. Textute is smooth. Flavor lingers in your mouth.
