We visited Sea Breeze Café last April 23, 2016 as it was dubbed as the Best Breakfast Buffet place in the island.

We were a group of 6 family members with an infant. Truly, the place was jampacked with people (though I’m not sure if all were paying guests). We approached the reception area since we’re not billeted in the hotel. After asking us the name of our hotel and our headcount, she wrote something on the logbook and on a temporary receipt. She informed me that we had to pay PhP 3,294 first to be accommodated. Though quite new to the procedure, we handed her PhP 4,000. She said that the change will be given later then a waitress assisted us to our seats inside the Aircon area.

There’s nothing bad I could say with the food. After being in the island for quite a number of times, I could say that this resto has the best food choices for a mere amount of PhP 450 per head. But what really made our hearts pound was the tower of crunchy bacon! What a sight! What a gastronomic treat! Another thing that I appreciated was that the waiter volunteered to offer us mashed potato for our baby.

When we’re all finished, we asked for our change and receipt (since it can be reimbursed in my husband’s office). The waiter came and gave us a POS receipt but if only reflected payment for 3pax. So he left again and returned with a 2nd POS receipt for another 3pax (total of 6pax now). But we’ve noticed that the paper says, “Not Valid as Official Receipt (OR)” so we asked for an OR this time. When the waiter returned, he gave us an OR for PhP 1,647 (3pax only) and again we asked it to be changed. He returned, having erasures on the OR to reflect PhP 3,294.

This incident did not sit well with us. When we’re back in our hotel, my husband examined the POS receipts and discovered that the 2 receipts were identical. When we also asked our father about the OR, he said that it will not be accepted in the office because of the erasures.

We returned April 25, for another breakfast (can’t help it, food is good) and to ask for a new receipt. The manager conducted an initial investigation and found out that their records did not reflect entry and payment of 6pax; the POS receipts belonged to another table; the OR copy in their booklet is only PhP 1,647. With these, he asked me to identify the receptionist and the waiter and I did. He also photocopied my receipts and took all my contact details and promised to contact me asap.

After a week with no follow-up, my husband placed a long distance call and was able to contact the manager. The manager said the issue had been elevated and is awaiting response re our request for OR.

Then 2nd week came. This time I made the call and was able to speak to the female manager who happened to know the details of the incident because the male manager was on his rest day. She promised me that she’ll email me within the day re the OR.

I also sent a feedback on the website’s Inquire page and wrote a comment on the website wall to no avail. We are now pass the deadline for reimbursement but above all, I feel sad for the owner of the hotel. It appears that there is a large scale theft orchestrated by their employees. I don’t know how, but I hope that whoever is really in-charge should start firing leeches from their company.

Where else can you see whole Chinese ham being served in breakfast buffet! We were so happy with the food selection. They serve the food hot and fresh. Even the fruits are delicious and sweet. Plus servings are always enough, they don't run out of supply. Your money is definitely worth the stay and the eats 128521

Last july18-21 our family went to boracay and decided to stay in boracay regency. We had a van and a speedboat -exclusive to us 'cause it's owned by regency; a hassle-free transpo from kalibo to the island of boracay.

We reserved three rooms all in east wing- two premier with direct pool access and one premier. The room was sooooo nice and everytime I was in the room, I only feel like sleeping...just imaginin' it.. Aaaahhhh.. Hihi.. Anyhoo, the staffs were also nice and they really made sure to clean our room everyday.

The reservation comes with breakfast buffet. They have a wide selection of foods, they were all so good. What better way to start the day in bora than to wake up in such a comfortable bed and a full & happy tummy.

Buffet around 750pesos...the best so far in boracay...loved their roasted beef and their desserts are to die for! Apple strudels etc - of course lots of seafood! Yum yum yum!
