Ordered cordon bleu cause it looked really cheesy in the photo. I even asked the waitress if it was really like that in person and she said yes but what I got was a sad piece of chicken fillet. My friend's order however was good enough especially with the honey mustard paired with her chicken"bites"? That might be worth a try for la sallians looking for a snack :)

I eat at the establishments around Taft often and one of the places I keep coming back to is Borg's.

This resto is tucked at a corner on the 2nd floor but it's an awesome place with a sort of diner ambiance to it. They play pretty good music too.

I really like Borg's and I love there chicken dishes that start at around 120php. My personal favourite is the Chicken Strips that go so well with their honey mustard dip. However, the star of the menu, in my opinion, is definitely their shakes. They offer shakes that are huge and cost less than a 100php. These babies are extremely tall and amazingly flavourful. I get a chocolate one everytime.

Despite all that, I'd have to quote my cousin about Borg's:

"It's a hit or miss kind of place."

Some people may like it because of the way they pressure cook their chicken into this wonderously crispy way or, like a friend of mine, not like the way they cook their rice thus not providing the best experience for the customer.

Anyway, don't knock the place 'til you try it!

It has been a while since i've been here on archers and there now new restos here.
Borg's sells fried food items and chicken is their specialty. I've ordered 2pc chicken served with their special dip, unlimited borg's rice and iced tea which costs P135 plus P5 for the upsize of the drink. The chicken was flavorful. It is crispy on the outside but still tender and moist on the inside. 128077You can choose from the variety of sauces that they have and I chose barbecue sauce. The consistency was a little thin and the taste is not really like a barbecue sauce and the portion is just small and you would have to pay an extra P15 for a refill. You don't really need a dip anyway for the chicken because it is already good on its own. The sauce somehow resembles the gravy from the fried chicken we buy from the streets. I think their rice has margarine and it tastes fine but it is not hot anymore (maybe their food just got cold so fast because the room is cold). The service was fast and the staffs were friendly. And if you'll ask if I'm going bakc, I'll still come back there for their chicken.
