haengboghan geum-yoil or Happy Friday! (Thanks to google for the translation)

Feeling Korean over last night's Dinner at Bornga located inside Alphaland in Makati. Never heard this place. I was actually excited as we planned to dine at Kikufuji. But since its raining so hard, opted to change in location that has a convenient parking space, well Alphaland has a very convenient parking. The resto is located at the 2nd floor of the building.

Well, my companions take charge of ordering. We had:

Suntofu Jjigae (P300) assorted seafood and soft tofu. - I love this hot soup and its spicy10084️ highly recommended

Jap Chae (P350) stirred pork and vegetables with glass noodles- this is a korean staple dish. You can never go wrong.

Haemul Pa Jeon (P450) pancake made from scallions and variety of seafood. - same as the one in Yedang. This one good too esp when dipped to its mild spicy sauce

We also had grilled meat. And less hassle since one of the staff cooks for us. 128522 we had : masinchang samgeopsal (P390, 2 pcs per serving)- finely cut pork128055 and kkot sal (P850), prime cut beef, tender umarinated and boneless.128076🏼128076🏼128076🏼

Service: The place has very attentive servers, from the time we are seated, complimentary hot tea and side dishes were served. We also enjoyed the grilled meats, all were sliced and served equally to us.

Place: Clean interiors and simple furniture 128077🏼

Food: all are delicious and Authentic korean. Meat are of quality.

PS: limited pics I got. But enjoyed my first dining here128522

I like korean food, specially when my cousin thought me how to make sauces and paste like korean restaurant serves. Anyway bornga is one of my fave korean restaurant, the place is small but pleasant can do meeting here, the food was also great, affordable for me because they have big servings. I like the wrapping thing. The banchan includes in the wrapping thing that's what I love. An the paste, sauces are freshly made. What I really love is the kalbitang they have it here. I'm definitely going back.

Forgot the actual name of the soup, but it's basically the Kimchi one. Warm, spicy and flavorful :) service was really good too.

New mall means new restos :) Loving Korean food so much, me and my three college friends (who work for diff companies in diff buildings along ayala ave) took our lunch break together in this newly opened restos :)

It's a big resto, bonding will be good here :) More than that, the food is good ;) bibimbap, cha jae, samgyupsal... Food is authentic ;)

My friend was so curious 'bat sabaw nya malamig' :) we are used to hot miso soup in another Korean resto in Mabini hehe :)

Except the authentic food, they serve room temperature honey ginger tea for finale (free and refillable) hahaha

Will come back next time :) lunch break is now enough to enjoy everything ;)

I guess others would like this restaurant because it would be the best and decent Korean grill place you can go to in this side of town.

You gotta love their main product the WOO SAMGYUP. This sliced beef brisket is really something with their special Bom-Ga's sauce. Advice is that you follow their instructions ok how to eat it and you won't get lost. :) For only P450 I think this is good for 2-3 persons. Their long tray of greens is quite something also. Talk about flashy in your face food greeting.

The Bibimbap was surprisingly good even though if you take a quick look at it, it doesn't taste good, but it ended up okay. Their Haemul pajeon was a watery and half cooked. Not liking it much.

Overall the experience was quite good. I Love the whole dining experience and the grill part.
Lots of Koreans dining here. Decent place for groups of friends or family.

Careful though, you might smell like what you ate after dining here. :)

Honestly, I have a hard time memorizing the name of different Korean dishes cause all I did whenever the food was served in front of me was eat and savor every bite. My man does all the ordering 128516128516

We went here last January and I could say that their food is pricey ( no credit card payment yet) however you would certainly enjoy their quality Korean dishes plus very accommodating staff 128077128077

For first- timers, if you get overwhelmed by lots of side dishes in front you, don't panic cause their paper placemats have instructions on how to devour their Woo Samgyup (if my memory serves me right) the right way!128588

PS: Woo Samgyup comes with unli lettuce wraps 127807128513

They've lived up to their "Original Korean Taste" 128522128077🇰🇷 Went here for a dinner date with my friend after work, we had so much fun talking and catching-up with one another and this was made even more fun by the FOOD!!! 100841008410084

They have quite a selection of Korean cuisines, you'll probably have the urge to order them all haha! So moving away to daydreaming and stepping into reality, we settled for the BBQ (1) Woo Samgyup (P450) (thinly sliced beef of pure goodness) and (2) Samgyeopsal (P350) (grilled pork belly) which is like WOW 12807710084️ Really delicious! The good thing about this is that the veggies that you're gonna use for wrapping is (1) a LOT, and I mean a LOT and (2) unlimited 127807127811127793 even the side dishes are awesome (the salad is pure heaven; kind of a peanut-ty taste I guess). Then we had the Korean Seafood Pancake; Haemul Pa Jeon (P450) and YES, we were in Korean Heaven cuisine 128522128077🇰🇷🇰🇷🇰🇷 Really tasty! Overall I must say it was an awesome food experience 100841008410084️ The prices were not too expensive also! Considering the quality of meal, service, amount of serving, etc. 128077

Also, their staff is soooooo adorable (since they are all smiling, accommodating, positive aura, and really just nice) 128522128077 they'll assist you all throughout from cooking your BBQ, refilling your side dishes and house tea, and even taking pictures! Hahaha 128517128517128517128513 we even got the chance to take a picture and talk a bit with the owner of the restaurant! (Though we forgot to ask for her name) 128532 but nonetheless, she was really nice! 10084

Another thing I want to note is that you won't be coming out smelling like a BBQ, hahahaha! Good thing 128522128522128591

If you're looking for a new restaurant in Makati that would satisfy your Korean cuisine cravings then have this on your list (probably number 1) haha! 100841008410084

No credit card service yet, so one star stashed away, but this place has great food to offer. We had the Kimchi Chigae and the pork was damn good! One of the most tender i had, and the soup was very soothing! :) for a price of 400php, it came with a single serving of rice. We also ordered bibimbap, which i really love :) Best thing about it? Its right across my place from the almost complete but operational Alphaland Makati Place :)
