What's up, Katipunan! 9749

Bo's Coffee 325-G Katipunan Ave corner B. Gonzales St. in Katipunan has finally moved beside National Book Store in Katipunan also and is now open to bring your favorite brew closer to home.

Y'all deserve a bigger and better coffee experience, that's why they are out to make great things happen for all of us.

According to Bo’s Coffee company profile, they are homegrown. They put the spotlight on #PhilippineCoffee. Their Coffee Origins is a story of our culture. They make it their business to support local coffee farmers. Their mission is to create positive social impact by empowering social enterprises. It is at their pursuit to deliver unparalleled hospitality and a complete homegrown experience to their patrons and they have wide range of menu from Big Breakfast Club Plate, to coffee, pasta, snacks, and desserts.
Went here last September 27 morning, ordered their three cheese omelet plus brewed coffee, price is almost 200 pesos and it comes with a free bread on the side perfect for the omelet. I loved the ambiance here , so cozy and spacious. It has wifi connection and they have a space at the second floor in case ground floor gets filled. Staffs are friendly and accommodating.

Bo’s Coffee branches are all over Luzon, Metro Manila, Cebu, Visayas and Mindanao.

After the Don-Day dinner, N & R picked me up and we headed to have coffee. Good thing this branch is open 24 hours. 128522

I got one of their new quenchers, Strawberry tea with Chai (not quite sure of the name. It was okay lang 128533 nothing special.

The place didn't have the coffee aroma like the other cafes have. 128533

It was last week when my cousins went to Bo's Coffee in Katipunan. We visited the branch located at the corner of this street just right in front of Miriam College.

This branch is actually one of the nicest branches that I have actually been to as I have not visited Bo's Coffee that often. From the usual interiors of any coffee shops where the organic colors of brown and green are highlighted, the place looks really welcoming and inviting. Aside from that, the lighting is also good as natural light from outside go through the establishment's windows. The ventilation is all right too given that it is not too cool or hot.

My cousins ordered their usual favorites --- Coffee Jelly, Brewed Coffee and Macchiato. As always, the Green Tea was my order as it has always been a comforting drink for me. I loved how the mixture of the green tea leaves and milk give the drink a really nice kick that makes it worth ordering again and again, at least for me. I was able to try their Mocha Frappuccino too (as seen in the photo) as it was Angel's order. It was not that sweet as well, just right for my tastebuds.

Aside from their drinks, we got some pastries and cakes to satisfy our sweet tastebuds more. We ordered their Chocolate Cake and their Banana Cream Pie that both looked real good.

Both cake and pie tasted really yummy! The chocolate on the cake were really soft, rich and legitimate, they tasted perfect together with our drinks! The Banana Cream Pie tasted really good! I loved the freshness and sweetness of the bananas that were paired really well with the smooth and freshly made cream. The pie's curst was to die for, too! New favorite yay!

Aside from that, my cousin, ate Lulu, also ordered their Pomodoro Pasta and it was generously served too. The pasta was made perfectly and the sauce went well with its ingredients.

It was surprising that Bo's Coffee was able to satisfy our cravings and filled our tummies in a good, addicting way. I cannot judge Pinoys why they love these types of establishments because there are actually a lot of reasons to love them.

Christmas season is coming soon so time to get moving because as far as I know they also have planners that will make you go gaga.

For an upcoming exam this Saturday, I needed to have a place where I could tediously study (procrastinate lols) and at the same time feel the vibes of trading my anxiety into an utmost "coffee scent-sniffing" habit and Bo's Coffee lives mighty to its potential.

I thought of spending my entire day at Starbucks and I guess not pushing through was bcos I imagined cringing to the idea of a crowded place, and more often do people are so loud divulging their stories and antics there, sarap kaya mag-chill doon, but no, I needed to study.

So I tried my luck and found this haven of a sacred peaceful sanctuary; I ordered large espresso crumble and partnered it with a carrot muffin and i must say, i was stuffed and satiated; my concentration intact completely. All in all, i must say that this place did not disappoint. The baristas were jolly and accommodating, aside from the fact that almost all of their products are homegrown from our own country (from Kalinga, Sagada etc)

til my next coffee shop-hopping experience! Hope this helps!

Went to Bo's to work on some manuals and do a bit of studying. I wasn't surprised at how packed the place was on a Sunday. 128563 But the good thing was there were servers on the first floor who would tell new customers that there were still tables on the second and third floor.

Got their iced white chocolate mocha, red velvet cake and strawberry cheesecake ice cream. The white chocolate mocha was really strong!!! It helped me stay up all night and get lucky... NOT. I got half of the total score in our shifting for anatomy LOL. The red velvet cake wasn't really red velvet-y. The ice cream was good but the texture was a bit off. I would've liked it more if it were smooth. 128513

Service was extra slow though cause they had their trainees behind the counter. 128553

Does not accept credit card. Took them forever to heat my sandwich. And in the end, it wasn't anything. Terrible.

I'm also curious as to why they give out coffee cup holders when the brew isn't even hot.... (See: the right way of making a cafe latte)

I'd hate to bring up any comparisons with a certain other coffee company that uses a Green Mermaid for its logo, but why not try to learn from the best?

Bo's is the place I go to when I'm tired of all the trendy coffee hype out there. I appreciate how they recognize homegrown, Filipino coffee.

I used to say that their cafe mocha tastes like armpits, but really, I still order it from time to time. So I guess I like the taste of armpits...oh well.

The Katipunan branch has really improved. I used to study here when I was still a student, but at that time the lighting sucked, the aircon wasn't working properly, and there weren't a lot of chairs. I'm happy that Katipunan students now have a bigger and better Bo's that's more conducive to studying.

I LOVE the native textile chair upholstery, which I learned is sourced from weavers through a social enterprise. I also love that they play music by Cebu-based bands (since Bo's originated in Cebu). They sell their CDs too. Good stuff.

The latte and Three-Cheese sandwich I ordered were good, filling-merienda-perfect-for-alone-time good. The sandwich has kesong puti, mozzarella, and cheddar cheese (which I plan to copy, hihi. Sorry Bo, imitation is the best form of flattery anyway). I wrote in my journal while enjoying the merienda, and voila...a lovely lovely afternoon.

I like the layout of Bo's now. The last time I was here was maybe middle of last year or earlier. Nice and more encouraging for conversations. Having high and low chairs and stools also gives the lower space some spunk.

I like the green tea matcha here. Cashiers are somewhat overeager (or I just wasn't in a pleasant mood when I went here haha). The drip coffee isn't bad either. The carbonara is so-so. The croissants...? Tasted dry and like they were a day old or something. Sad. :( I love croissants. They're supposed to be soft and buttery. :(

I only liked the space, the matcha... The service took a year and a half or so... Okay, that's an exaggeration. But it isn't fast compared to Seattle's, Starbucks or CBTL along this strip.

Oh, I did like the BLT on French batard! Maybe a bit heavy on the Dijon but it was still great!

I've had two meetings here this week because of the matcha. Hahah.

I really like their cheesecakes and other pastries but they should really put in an effort to deodorize the 2nd floor. It smells like sweat and laway 128557

Salted caramel cheesecake 128525128523 although a bit on the umay side, but I really liked how the saltyness and sweetness were combined, no overpowering of either flavors, balanced sya 128077

I so envy the students who get to study there kse nga it's open 24 hrs so if you're doing your thesis, that's the best place to go. I wish they'd open more branches and one in my area in particular 128513

Ever since Bo's had its rebranding, I've seriously fallen in love with its homegrown ways. Really proud to have witnessed it unfold and well, Bo's has really grown close to my heart.

All their breakfast platters are divine. I'm selfish, so I have them all to myself! But the servings are really huge so you can definitely share this with a friend.

I'm not much of a coffee person so I don't say much about it. Actually, the past few times I've been to any Bo's Coffee branch, I've been ordering hot chocolate, tea, and juices. Should try the coffee soon!

Nevertheless, if you've always been a Starbucks lover or a Coffee Beaner, try Bo's and revel in its very meaningful interior. Support Filipino products and get your homegrown brew 1280779749

I like studying in Bo's especially after the recent renovation. However when I visited this place at 4 am, it was not conducive for studying or working! The music was too loud. The crew folks were talking and laughing so loud to one another. Some were even dancing to the beat! Another thing that surprised me was seeing the guard sleeping! I tried going upstairs but even the customers were so noisy!

I'm not going to go back after midnight to this place. Honestly I really really like studying here but if i'm looking for a 24 hour place, i would avoid going here.

We just wanted to have a cup of coffee after our dinner at Wooden Spoon. Bo's just a few blocks away from Wooden spoon anyway.

The place was cozy. Nice staff. We ordered right away without checking availble seats. 128530 The place was full of students studying, instant library lol. There was room at the 3rd floor which wasn't being at that time but according to the staff it's for rent for about 250/head, WTF!!! So we just waited and after a couple of minutes we were in a one table with 10 seats. I ordered Mocha Latte, it wasn't the best but they make a good art coffee. Isn't that Olaf on my coffee? Lol We ordered blueberry cheesecakes and it was so-so.

Were it not for the fine place and the blueberry danish, I would have had a crappy evening for being sleepless and not having digested so much cases yet. I came here to seek solace from a good cup of coffee, sadly theirs was not so good. It's nothing compared to other shops' coffees. The blueberry cheesecake, aside from being sliced so small, was tasteless. Good thing the place is relaxing, the wifi is fast, the place is well lit, and that Blueberry Danish, it was a savior and it was delicious, warm, and tasty.

We were looking for new breakfast place at such an early hour. We almost ordered all the breakfast menu and it was a whole new experience for us. Ambiance is great and nice to catch the morning sun. Service was superb. No words to describe how wonderful our breakfast experience was.
