My post bday lunch with my lunch buddies last Friday. It has been quite a while since the last time I visited Brasas. This place served Latin American dishes, and their meat here is something that I had in mind. Its grilled and tasty.

We are 4, so we got 2 plates.
For appetizer , I ordered Papa Fritas (P120) its french fries, the meat is grilled and has mozarella cheese on it. Love this one!

Puerco Asado (P365, big plate)- the pic in the menu is enticing! So we quickly ordered this one. It has this 2 strips of roasted belly, rice with beans, and roasted veggies. The meat is incredibly fork tender, a little prodding will do128522 this is such a yummy dish.

Carne Asada(P365) it has charcoal grilled beef sirloin with Spanish rice (its yellow!) this has been a favorite of mine. Simple as beef sirloin but with a rich taste.

Verdict: servings are quite big, mostly are for sharing. Meat dishes are so tasty!

What happened to their Puerco asado?!! Where did the fancy rice and beans go? Garlic rice??? The meat was so thinly sliced just like your liempo meal, not at all like what they used to serve before, really disappointed, what a let down 128534128557

Brasas is a place I would keep coming back to. They serve Latin American street food not with so much flair but with a lot of genuine natural flavor (promise...no ''umay" factor). Their grilled or barbecued meats are so good that I'm sure they would please even our very recent APEC guest, President Nieto of Mexico 128515

In my last visit of Brasas I enjoyed their mixed platter of grilled ribs, barbecued beef in skewers and grilled pieces of chicken served on a bed of flavorful Spanish rice. This platter is called Parillada Mixta. The serving is big and can be shared among 2-3 people. It came also with a siding of salad of mixed greens and veges with crispy tortilla chips and chicken pieces drizzled with lime dressing. The grilled meats were served with 3 kinds of sauces - Peruvian teriyaki sauce, chimichurri, and chipotle sauce. The chimichurri was my favorite...spicy and sweet! Although this dish is not yet officially on their menu, we were told it was sure to come out after APEC event so watch out for it.

For dessert the Tres Leches cake of Brasas is a 'must try!' I enjoyed it to the last bite. As the name implies, it has 3 kinds of milk and the cake surprises you as you slice into it with the milk oozing out of the cake...very light, moist and just the right sweetness even if Latin American desserts are usually characterized as 'very sweet'. This dessert is just so refreshing!

The service staff at Brasas are also very attentive, helpful and friendly...all contributing to the very pleasant dining experience I had there. 128077🏻128077🏻128077🏻

Brasas.  A restaurant that offers Latin American street food.   I am not familiar with this Cuisine but after hearing the buzz this joint is creating,  i gave in.  I am not a fan of Latin American Cuisine and  I have an irrational fear of overdosing on flavors.

Nope,  i didnt die.  I managed to dine at Brasas more than once and i liked the food.  Yey!  I conquered my fear.  I absolutely love Puerco Asado.

A generous slab of pork belly slow roasted to perfection.  Fall-off-the-bone meaty goodness. Even the fat has the melt-in-your-mouth texture.  Believe me when i tell you it is weally weally tender.  I have yet to come up with the apposite adjective to describe the texture of the meat.  Uhmmm,  maybe when i become a successful linguist.  The dish comes with roasted veggies,  rice and beans.  The rice is okay but i would've preferred plain white rice with my pork belly,  this would make the meat stand out.  Yes,  i skipped the rice and beans.

Had a refreshing glass of Brasacolada to cap off my meal.  Brasacolada is a smoothie made of ripe mangoes,  pineapple,  strawberry and coconut milk.   Usage of coconut milk adds creaminess to the sweet notes of the fruits.  This is the perfect after meal drink.

Hurray for Latin American Street Food!

Podium restos are good choices if you are working within the Ortigas area because there's not very many people dining at weekday lunch hour. This means you won't waste your precious time lining up to order before being able to eat your lunch.

Brasas seems to be a favorite amongst yuppies / corporate peeps as we dine today. We placed our order and it was served in less than 5 minutes.

The beef and chicken all tasted good, as well as the Spanish rice and chimichurri sauce.

No fuss lunch. 128077

I didnt really like this, could've been better.
Forgot the name, similar to a taco. Limited meat and toppings. The corn kernels were hard and bland (binatog like). I guess they didnt use Japanese sweet corn.

A taste of heaven. The Brazilians really know how to cook their meat. It's a little pricy but I think it is well worth it. Gotta love the Chipotle sauce on the side as well. I highly recommend this place to everyone.

I've tried almost all of their items: Carne Asada, Pollo Asada, both with rice and/or Tortilla, their Burgers and Salads. They were ok.

Servings are big and meant for sharing. They're always full during lunch time.

I had a hard time looking for food for our team's Game Day last Friday because our options were limited! We only can buy from establishments that allows credit card payments. We were sick of pizza and fastfood, so good thing that I saw Jeroen van Straten's post on Instagram!

He ordered a tray of Chicken Asado Wraps from Brasas for their Pacquiao viewing at home. The owner was replying to comments so I asked them if they do deliveries, etc.

Well they don't do deliveries but our boss picked it up since she had to swipe the company card there.

We got Carne Asada Wraps, Chicken Asado Wraps, Patacones, and their Carne Asada Fries.

I really loved everything even if the food was cold na! The chicken wraps tasted a bit off for me though.

Their fries was a big hit!

Definitely gonna ninja from the office to have lunch here! 128514

We were in the area and decided to eat at Brasas for a late dinner. Checked their Operating Hours with our favorite app, looloo and it says til 10pm. We ran as if we're part of amazing race, we arrived there at 9:30pm, sad to know the cashier told us that they are closed already. Told them it says they close at 10pm. Anyway, we left with a disappointed heart (haha!) but we went to sumo sam instead.

I went with something different because I didn't really feel like eating something with rice. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich, which is essentially shredded pork with bell peppers and cheese.

I found this really filling, and even if I happen to really like bell peppers, I found the sweetness from the peppers a little too strong. That being said, I think it could have used a little more cheese and maybe fewer peppers. 9786

I'd have it again though for sure.

Was looking for a place to eat at Podium yesterday when we saw Brasas, Latin American Street Food?! I've never tried this and the menu looked interesting so why not!

Ordering is done at the counter with their menu up top and some specials on a chalk board on the side. We decided to get the ff. must try best sellers

* Patacones @160 -- 5 crispy plantain chips topped with pulled pork, tomato salsa and melted Monterey Jack Cheese. Crispy goodness 128525128077

* Chivito Al Pkato (Uruguay) @675 -- Good for sharing, Beef Tenderloin Steak, Pork Carnitas, Grilled Chicken Thigh Fillet, Tajadas (fried plantains) sunny side up egg, South American slaw, Spanish rice & Chimichurri (green sauce) -- 128525128077

* Carne Asada Wrap @290 -- 2 pcs grilled beef wrap, tasty but messy to eat plus the wrap was too thick for my taste. 128529128533128543

T'was my first time to try latin-american food and it seems like everything i ordered tastes like smoke, but in a good good way. :))

We had the patacones for appetizer and i must say that it was a good start. I already forgot the name of the rice meal that we ordered maybe bec that was the least likeable for us. Good thing that their Carne Asada wrap made up for that little disappointment we had! I will def come back to Brasas for that insanely delicious wrap alone. :) Thumbs up for the big servings, yes! 128077
