No frills vietnamese place. They serve in relatively small portions but price wise its still quite affordable. The flavor of the broth has less cilantro than that of other vietnamese places but its still very flavorful and you can taste the beef thats been simmering for hours.

Didn't get to try the bread. If this place was in Makati and with these low prices it'd be a huge hit. Don't let the exterior fool you, this place has killer Pho.

My friends who worked in Palawan claims that Chaolong is similar to Pho. I insisted it was not until I have read this blog featuring this hole in the wall resto bakery in roosevelt. When I saw the photo of Chaolong I was surprised since it really look a lot like The traditional vietnamese Pho. On that same day I went to Roosevelt to check on it. The quality of the noodles is as good as those of Phohoa. There is something missing in the taste though maybe it lacks of cilantro, charred onions or beef. I was hoping to give it 3.5 stars but it's not possible so I gave it 4 star because it is so damn cheap! 50 pesos for a bowl of Chaolong wow!
