Stellar reviews and awesome pics have left me with (very) High expectations of this place; alas these expectations were barely met 128542
Arrived there around 1130 and there was only one person manning the counter. Ventilation not so good as you can smell the oil from th kitchen as soon as you enter. Saw the menu and from previous reviews I've read, the bacon cheeseburger is TDF. Menu was cute but I wish it had more explanations so we would know what to expect. Got the bacon cheeseburger, sloppy shroom, Mac and cheese and their house fries which I've forgotten the name.
Took our seat and began looking around. Cute place but the atmosphere is lacking IMO. Wala man Lang music. They used floor tiles as table tops, good idea theoretically but the corners were beginning to chip so that's a bit dangerous.
My burger arrived after about 15mins 128563 tbh I was disappointed as it looked so different from the pictures I've seen. The rest of the food arrived in 'installments' taking around 10-15 mins each. My patience was wearing thin by this time. When the sloppy shroom arrived I was surprised to know that it didn't have any meat! I mean seriously at php270??
The Mac and cheese is just so so. The fries (which arrived last, dba appetizer yun) had a unique 'blend of spices' but tasted burnt.
Needless to say I just finished the food just because we've ordered it already. Buti nalang hubby likes mushrooms so he was ok with his order but he said it tasted like a sandwich from mushroom burger.
My verdict is, they need to learn how to multi task and manage their time.. It took almost an hour for all our orders to come out. The price point as well is too much I think, considering the place, atmosphere and lack of staff.

Guys, I've got a little secret to share. Just between us, okay? So... sssshhhhh 128586 hahaha 128517

Bread & Botany's got secret menu specials. Some off menu items you wouldn't find written on the board. There's the shakogato, a cereal milk milkshake made with cold brew, coffee jelly, and topped with marshmallow-y soft espresso merengue. I wanted to spoon it out and sip through the straw at the same time.

And another one recently discovered on IG... the chimi cheese fries! Their signature kyuchimi fries smothered with cheese sauce, and i think a bit of seaweed. Really good! Its a load of spicy, salty, creamy, and crunchy with every fork full. Though the cheese can get a bit overpowering so i recommend sharing this. Lalo na having it with a cereal milkshake, the creamy umay factor really kicked up a notch! 128514

And remember, secret lang natin 'to so don't tell anyone... 128517

Story: My foodie friends and I are on a #FoodTrip this first Sunday of July. In attendance are Mary Love, Kris, and Kevin.

Our first stop was Bread and Botany.

Ambience: The place was open and it gave off a light feeling. Design of the place is simple.

Service: Just 1 staff acting as server and cashier. Despite the size of the place kind of slowed everything down a bit. She was warm and accommodating to customers.

Food: Mr. McEGG (P220), the taste was okay. I like the fluffy egg and the slight saltiness of the ham. The bread was soft and covered in syrup (most likely maple). The contrast was okay. I just didn't like holding on the sticky bun.

I just couldn't stop coming back until i've tried eeeeeverything on their menu board. Yup, even the one's offered for a limited time like their cereal milk shakes.

Sandwiches are to-die-for. Every. Single. One. Of. Them.

My favorite's still gotta be the sloppy shroom but, gosh, everything else comes in at a close second. The bacon cheeseburger, the fish n chips, the tori sando, the pork belly guabao 128547 Notice how the bacon strips in the bacon cheeseburger are weaved together and made into a single crispy layer. 128521

To finish off with a sweet ending, i must say that their cereal milk ice cream is phenomenal. If you've got a sweet tooth they've got one covered in a malagos chocolate shell with corn flakes, and one dusted in crushed coffee nibs with coffee jelly. My favorite of the bunch wouls have to be the muesli cereal milk ice cream coz its got all the things i love with all these fruits, oats, and berries nicely arranged into a healthy looking treat!

A hip, cozy and best of all, delicious place to get good sandwiches. Our first try here took the kitchen a good 45mins for one order, we had like 6 items and boy were we hangry! They were understaff as the owner said but I tell you, it was worth the wait. I can attest to this bec we went here twice already and it was still really good and not just the rumbling stomach talking there.

We loved the gua bao, fish & chips, burger the most. The gua bao was as soft as pillow and tasty. On the holy week, I'm gonna fast with their fish burger hahaha and the burger, ratios are balanced with the bread and it is packed with flavor and juiciness! Although, the banh mi is predictable. The fries is too salty for me but the mac & cheese is awesome. The chicken is crispy like hell, the flavor that comes with it is ok too. I'd prefer it with a little more heat though.

This review deserves a 5127775 bec the owner knew they were at fault and gave us one of the best soft serve ice cream I've ever had, flavor wise. He gave us the cereal milk with chocolate and corn flakes on top as a compliment for the super long wait and we appreciate it. Def one of my fave now here in bf.128523

I've always wanted to return to the South to finally try some of the places recommended to me ever since I became a looloo user, however, most of the time my schedule was never cooperating and the attempts I made several times were all failed! And when I finally got the chance to finally go back, I made the most out of it and even tagged my downsouth friend, Troy P!

I was really looking forward to try Yushoken and Tus' because it has been on my list for 2 years, but the traffic going to the south was really unbearable and arrived 10pm in the South station. That simply means no Yushoken and no Tus' that night, sadly!

So Troy immediately suggested to just go to BF Homes so we can have more options. I did recall he mentioned Bread and Botany which actually left me an impression that they might be a cafe or a sandwich bar in the middle of a botanical garden. Lol. Sounds like a perfect intimate place for dinner dates, right? Something in the veins of Rustic Mornings by Isabelo's ambiance.

I'm a bit surprised that this place is just beside my favorite cafe in the south, Magnum Opus. And it proved me wrong that they're not a dinner-by-the-garden type of place. Lol. A little cafe with some nice interiors and some hipster-feel into it. They have few selection of food on the menu and the owner told us that everything is good! No bragging there but I had to believe basing on the previous reviews written and that makes me more curious to try their food! So we settled for the most famous sandwiched on the menu - the Mr. McEgg and Sloppy Shrooms! We also got a plate of their Fried Chicken in Classic and Kyuchimi style.

Serving time was quick, not to mention that the sandwiches are freshly-made right after you place your order. The Fried chicken instantly wowed me! Sobrang juicy!!! And the Kyuchimi one is the bomb! Move on Umami fried chicken, Kyuchimi fried chicken is here!!!

Sloppy Shrooms is my choice! I really like how these different types of mushroom jived in together with fried shallots and mozzarella and turn it into a spectacular sandwich! I'm no mushroom expert but this one's a must-try!

Mr. McEgg comes with a side of Kyuchimi fries. The fries is good, not too greasy. The McEgg sandwich is definitely their own take of McDonald's McMuffin with Egg. But the thing is, Bread & Botany does it far better than McDonald's. I think it's even unfair to compare this to McDonald's although the latter has been always good on its own. I really love the fluffy egg in it with some hints of maple which makes it perfect as a breakfast sandwich!

The owners are very welcoming! We also had the chance to chat with them and told us some insights about their place. I highly recommend this place for those who are looking for some good and tasty sandwiches!

And of course, never leave this place without ordering their cereal milk soft serve. I ordered the Cereal Milk Affogato, it's cereal milk soft serve with cold brew coffee jelly topped with freshly ground coffee beans. Sulit sa calories!

At the time I was dining here #teamlatepost 128587, they were busy taking photos of soon-to-be-offered-in-the-menu cereal milk milkshake. Yownn! Me babalikan ako ahaha! Love this place! From the vibe of the place, the food, and good customer service 5127775!

The star of the show is their cereal milk soft serve ! Saraaaaaappppp 128523128523128523128523128523 . You can get it plain, or with diff toppings.

Cereal Milk Ice Cream Muesli - P175, topped w/ sliced apples, strawberries, and almonds. Lasang isa pa nga pls! Or dalawa, or tatlo 128513128055128061

Tori Sando - P230, fried chicken sandwich. The seasoning of the fried chicken --- winner! Perfect with the asian coleslaw and bulldog sauce.

Kyuchimi Fries - P100, spicy rub , not too salty, with just the right kick 128076

Bahn Mi - P250, okay this does not taste like the authentic Vietnamese Bahn Mi, but it still taste yummehhhh!

I've been back to this place even before I wrote this review. Because there's so much food to try!!

BTW, they've got a wide selection of gin , for 'ya party people 128521, and if its good coffee you want, they are right beside Magnum Opus. Same owner you guys 128077

I went here since Dennis O recommended this new joint which easily became my new favorite tambayan since its a few blocks aways from my house.

Bread and Botany is pretty hip and cozy located at the second floor of Prime building near Magnum Opus.

Bread = Gourmet Sandwiches
Botany = Gin and tonic

This is one of the best places to try their Kyuchimi, inspired version of Shichimi Togarachi which is a seven spice mixture famous in Japan.

We tried the kyuchimi fries and fried chicken, and Mr. McEgg sandwich and the Sloppy Shroom. Their gourmet sandwiches and sides are made fresh using the best ingredients.

Kyuchimi fries has just the right kick of spiciness while the Mr. McEgg sandwich is an upgraded version of Mcdonald's McEgg sandwich but with a hint of maple perfect to pair it with a coffee. I just hope to have this less greasy next time I order. Sloppy Shroom is basically their mushroom burger oozing with shitake mushroom (i think) and cheese.

The staff/owner is very friendly and accomodating (as always). Love the outside veranda perfect for catching up with friends. 128077🏼 Next time I will definitely try that Muesli dessert!

Thanks Russel F for the treat!

Whenever there is a newly opened restaurant in BF, I always make sure to list them down so I know where to eat next time. I have always wanted to eat here so when Ony asked where I want to eat, I suggested this place or Crazy Chick. But since President's ave is too far and well, traffic.. 128529 we decided to just go here.

Located in the same building as Magnum Opus is Bread and Botany. They may have and share the same owners, same feel, design, and look.. But the concept is different.

If you love bread and sandwiches, this is a good place to make all your bread dreams come true. 127838127838

They offer a number of interesting sandwiches to choose from -- Tori Sando, Banh Mi, Fish and Chips, Pork Belly Gua Bao, Sloppy Shroom, and Mr. McEgg - their own version of Mcdo's Egg McMuffin breakfast sandwich.

Not a fan of sandwiches? No worries as they also offer Fried Chicken, Mac n Cheese, Kyuchimi Fries, Koruslaw, Liver Mousse, Soft Serve Cereal Milk Ice Cream, and Day Tonics. The menu is very limited but they really made sure that even with the limited menu, they still can cater to your wants. 128521128077🏼

All of their dishes are made fresh so you really have to wait for at least 15 minutes.

Since we already ordered Grilled Cheese from Magnum Opus we decided to just try the Fried Chicken and Fries, first.... For now. 127831127839

We decided to get the Kyuchimi Fried Chicken (190) and an order of the Kyuchimi Fries (100)

The number of chicken depends on the weight so you're lucky if you get 3 pcs! 128517 You can have it all in Classic or Kyuchimi or both. We had 2 classic chicken and 1 Kyuchimi chicken.

The chicken was good. It reminds me of the chicken we used to buy from Gravy Fix. Super crispy skin and juicy tasty chicken fillet. At first, they may look just like your usual everyday fried chicken but they're not just your usual everyday fried chicken. These chicken are not only juicy and super crispy but they are also sprinkled with their special spice, the Kyuchimi, which makes their chicken extra extra special, tasty and flavorful. And also, the Bullddog gravy was good. They make their own gravy using chicken stock and bulldog sauce.

Service was okay. The staffs were all helpful.. just not that friendly and nice.

Would we comeback? Maybe? But not soon. 128517

From these pics i've obviously been a returning customer.128517 And each time i try something different its never disappointing! This is one legit sandwich place - the banh mi is better than most i've had, the Mr McEgg is just like an Egg McMuffin on fancy, and the sloppy shroom... the sloppy shroom! A 3 mushroom, and literally sloppy, sandwich oozing with melted cheese. Think Burger King's mushroom swiss without the burger, but just as delicious and definitely not missing out on flavor!

The kyuchimi fried chicken and fries are definitely must tries upon first visit. Crispy and juicy with the right hint of spice. This is what the head bean Jonathan would cook up for his girlfriend and B[&]B partner Kiks' family during their younger years. 128076

And you cannot miss their cereal milk soft serve ice cream. This has got to be one of my favorite soft serves. So creamy milky good - the chocolate variant has a malagos chocolate shell and chocolate nibs (my fave), the coffee flavor is dusted with ground coffee powder and sits on coffee jelly made from Magnum Opus cold brew, and the blueberry & cheese is topped with fresh blueberries and edam cheese. Yummmm.

Come in during the evenings and you'll get to order from their gin & tonic selection, which is also really good. Got to talk to the bartender who has a strong passion for gin! Found out that gins actually taste and smell a lot different across different brands and variants. And i thought gin = ginebra no matter what kind you drink. 128534 He'll give you the lowdown on his drinks as he serves them, so you'll definitely get a better appreciation of what's being made for you. 128076

This place takes pride in their sandwiches. This newbie offers a variety of sandwiches to choose from; inspired by the best sandwiches of other countries; they have Banh Mi fromVietnam, Mr. Mc Egg from US, Pork Belly Gua Bao from Taiwan, Tori Sando from Japan and Fish n’ Chips from London. Aside from the sandwiches, they also have desserts and sides (fries, chicken, mac n’ cheese, liver mousse and koruslaw) from their menu and they also have a great selection of Gin and Tonic. Me and my friends ordered Mr. Mc Egg, Family Meal and I forgot what I ordered for drinks, 128521128521128521.

Mr. Mc Egg - I love the Canadian bacon; it went well with the maple syrup and the caramelized onion and egg.
Family Meal – fried chicken (9 pieces) and lots of fries. I love the flavor and the crunchiness of the chicken and I will love it more if they will lessen the salt.

Fries – thickly cut potato fries with Nori and cayenne powder.

Overall, I love this new place. This is a good addition to the BF food scene. Btw, I forgot to tell you that the staffs are nice and accommodating and this is also owned by Jonathan Choi of Magnum Opus.

Magnum Opus has a new neighbor. Just on the next door besides Magnum Opus is Brean and Botany. A new sandwhich shop c/o Jonathan Choi of Magnum Opus. The place is still on soft opening and the interior wall graffiti seems yet to be completed. They have simple short menu mostly a variety of sandwhiches from different country.

We tried their Kyuchimi Chicken and Fries. Its a deep fried chicken thigh with 9(Kyu) spices. The chicken was so good. The skin was on chicharon level of crunchiness. While the 9 spices was combined deliciously making the chicken so flavorful. There were just a hint of saltiness on some part.

For the sandwhich we tried the Mr. McEgg their take on the famous Mcdonalds Egg McMuffin. This was a great take on that mcdonalds breakfast sandwhich. Their version glazed the bread with maple syrup making the sandwhich deliciously sweet. The canadian bacon was so good that bring smokey flavor against the sweetness. Inside the sandwhich also is the steamed egg, cheese and caramelized onion. A perfect sandwhich for my tastebud. This is something you wish McDo would insert on their menu hehe..

They also have a selection fine gin which compliment well on their menu. For dessert try their softserve icecream!

Overall great great new addition to bf homes. The place is just quite unseen because of the location. Definitely we'll come back to try their version of banh mi and tori sando. 128512128077
