An impromptu cutting session for my son who has not visited a barber shop in forever. At 14 yo, he looked like he was a college student because of his hair. Having no hair restrictions in his school, he made a pact with his friends to grow their hair for the last year. His shoulder length hair was actually very nice, kakainggit his thick, curly hair. But he needed a change already and yes I would like him to look his age.

We spent 350 pesos for a stylist cut, as their current price of 295 (I think) is for a regular barbers cut. My son just wanted a cut just after his ears, so still bit long, and this was not covered by the standard cut price. We were passed around as the others were afraid to cut his hair the way he wanted it. We were assigned to a barber that said he could do it. It came out close to our photo peg - hair photos from the Thor actor, Bradley Cooper and some random guy on the Internet.

The cut didn't include any shampooing, unlike in a salon. I'm sure the men don't mind. They wrapped paper towels on his neck, then placed the plastic sheet dress before cutting his hair. I'm glad they let me sit with my son. This barber shop has about 20 chairs. I like the design of Bruno's, looks very clean and almost minimalistic. They also allow women to try their services, but I could never get myself to. I can't shake off the feeling that this is a guys place.

We were both worried about the hair cut. We went to Tony & Guy but they were closed for their Christmas party. We're glad it came out nice and only paid for a fraction of the price for one at T&G. The H is so relieved our son finally looks normal.

The good thing about Bruno's is that their barbers know what haircut would look good even on an unmanageable hair. My hair is fuzzy and thin at the same time, King my stylist in Bruno's told me that I should have at least a buzz cut which surprisingly did me lot of favors. Price? You get what you need, I bet.

Went to SM Aura yesterday to do some grocery shopping & I decided to have my nails done, too, since I was already in the mall. I tried to |ooloo "Nails" and "Salon," but the only result was "Peppermint Kids..." I'm afraid I judged it too hastily and I didn't even bother checking out the rest of its name, which is "Peppermint Kids & Grown-Ups Hair & Nail Salon." Hehe. 9996️ Kala ko for kids lang.

Ok lang, it was a blessing in disguise, because after shopping, I spied a Bruno's Barbershop a few stalls away from the grocery entrance. Now, if it weren't for Peanut D's reviews, I would NEVER have given this a second glance. It's a barbershop after all, and barbershop are generally known to be for MALES.

There were only a few customers last night, and 3/4 were females. 128522 One was having her hair colored and another was getting a mani/pedi like me!

My nail technician was Marilyn, and she took good care of my cuticles, thanks very much. 128077 The procedure was simple; none of those foot baths with rose petals and aromatic oils and scrubs that other nail salons usually have. It was a straight-forward nail cleaning, and I now have very happy feet and hands! 128522

It cost me Php 430, for cleaning services, no color. It seems a bit pricey for just cleaning. 128563 I thought it would be cheaper because it's a barbershop... Hehe. I judge too quickly. 128516

Thanks again Peanut, for starting this trend (haha, trend agad?)! Woohoo!

This is my third Bruno's Barbers branch! I'm happy to say that I spotted at least 4 women getting their nails done here! Moms and daughters even. :)

I'm telling you, if women going to Bruno's Barbers becomes cool, then I'm one heck of a trendsetter! Lol. If it doesn't become trendy... Then I'm just too cool for my life. Bahaha.

-1 star though for my bleeding finger. She cut my cuticles too much that it bled. Once again, my "sensitive skin" was to blame. 128530

So far, the branches at the Fort and Podium are still the better ones to go to. Maybe they're still trying to figure things out over here.
