First off, they did not use fresh egg noodles supposedly and mandatorily used in authentic batil patong. So that took out a lot of the flavor. It is then understandable why the pansit is so bland for my taste. I have to use soy sauce as flavoring when I only use sukang maanghang for this dish.

They, however, did not scrimp on carabeef (yes, it tastes like carabeef) and chicharon toppings! The sunny side egg is likewise perfectly cooked! They are generous on serving chopped up white onions, as well. Which is perfect with the pansit.

That said, it was just OK. #50ksummergiveaway

First of all, the neighborhood is kind of sketchy and the place itself isn't much to look at (I heard this place was a converted garage), but it served me one of the best-tasting pancit(s) I've had in my lifetime.

Yes, the place looks divey (get over it), but their Pancit completely blindsided me. SOOO GOOD. Come to find out that they serve only one dish, which is basically the Batil Patung Pancit; DID. NOT. MATTER. They do one thing, and they do it right and that's what matters.

Bruno's Pancit is not your typical pancit dish. In fact, many wonder why it's called Batil Patung. According to our server, Batil Patung means, 'egg on top'. They use the thicker pancit noodle and combine it with savory (pre-sauteed) ground beef, slices of what I believe to be beef(?) liver, sprinkle it with chicharon bits and then top it off with a poached egg to give you an exemplary level of flavors in every bite! Yummy!

This place is always packed and closes as early as 3:00 in the afternoon. I recommend checking this place out if you're in the area. Anywhere with a line out the door has to be of good quality and value! I know it's true in Bruno's Pancit's case.

Cheers
Mickey
