1. My mother and I dropped by Buddy's Pancit Lucban (while doing a bit of shopping in Cubao) not because of the pancit but because of the sizzling ampalaya with pork and peanuts. We saw a picture of that dish on the restaurant's window. We thought it was a bizarre combination so we decided to try it.

2. Apart from sizzling ampalaya, we also ordered our all-time favorite chop suey and halo-halo.

3. I'm glad I like ampalaya but was really intrigued by the peanuts in the dish. And to my surprise, the combination was good. In fact, really good! The sizzling ampalaya had a heady combination of bitter, salty, sweet, spicy and umami.

4. The chop suey was excellent too. The vegetables were not soggy but had the right firmness. And I ate a really delightfully crunchy veggie there, and I didn't know what it was -- it wasn't definitely sayote, but I guessed it was singkamas.

5. The halo-halo was OK, but had large grains of ice.

6. I loved the festive and colorful decorations there! Were they real "kiping"'s that adorned the restaurant? It's like you've been to a fiesta in Quezon province na rin :)

Good that I've got to try this one. Love the interior. Love the taste of food. The pancit seems legit. Very masarap. Weird lang kase may pizza sa menu and inferloo masarap ang pizza. Haha! And the iced too is worth mentioning. The sisig is tasty as well. Overall, very nice experience. Will be back if there's a chance.

Lumpiang ubod was so bland. Can't even taste the peanuts with the sauce, and the lumpiang gulay taste liked ininit lang. But tye molo soup was okay, I guess. Still coming back. They have the best budin and pancit 128523

Pahiyas Festival all-year round! Buddy's is definitely the one restaurant that you could recommend for tourist friends and balikbayans! From food, interior, fresh-from-the stove wide-variety of dishes and value for money! Truly a pride of the province of Quezon!

I love dining out with my family like this. Great memories are being made plus delicious foods are shared. 128525 Soo glad my sister chose to dine here with us!

Crispy Pata is the bomb! We just couldn't stop eating until it's gone!!! The waiting is worth it. Served hot and crrrrrrrispy! 128523128523128523 Extra rice for everyone is a must!

The Pork Sisig is also delicious! Crunchy pork skins and chopped meat served sizzling hot!....perfectly paired with Toyo and Calamansi!!!

Fried Longganisa Lucban.....ohmygollywow! I loooove Longganisa so much that this one has always been my favorite! I usually dip it in a spicy vinegar with soy sauce....sooooooo good! 128525128525128525
It's just a bit pricey, 3-5 small pcs for 100 pesos.

Bulalo is just okay but the family loves hot Bulalo soup and Beef meat with spicy Toyo Calamansi on the side. 128077 Also one of Pinoys' favorite!

Pansit Lucban should always be included in our dining experience here in Buddy's! One of their Signature dishes from Quezon. It is unique and it is supposed to be eaten drizzled with Buddy's original vinegar. 128077128077128077

Hindi naman kami masyadong Carnivorous na family noh? 128539
I know that soon we will be back again for another memorable Filipino dining experience! 128522

Buddy's

I recommended the restaurant to my friend and we tried their best sellers :

- Pancit Lucban
- Lucban Longannisa
- Pork Sisig

They serve huge that is why we were not able to consume everything we ordered. I am really glad my friend was satisfied with the choice of restaurant. She mentioned that we need to visit again.

I loved the ambience of festivity. However, the food is just 'ordinary'. There is nothing really special with the food. I was full but not satisfied.

Good thing there is a branch now here at Cubao. Their food is really affordable and good. The service was quite slow but the crews were really courteous.

Just found out that there's a Buddy's branch here in Cubao. This is our favorite restaurant in Quezon because they serve the best Pancit Lucban ever! So, for my lola's birthday, we had lunch here.
Not really recommended for huge family gatherings because they don't have big tables for big families like us. All the food we ordered cannot fit the table tho we occupied 5 tables already. We had it for take out na lang tuloy.
But aside from that, love everything! Pork & tuna sisig are the best! We also tried their crispy pata, fried chicken, bulalo, chopseuy & ofc, our favorite pancit lucban! Let me tell you a secret on how we eat their famous pancit lucban, we put vinegar on it! I swear it's delish! Better try it before you judge me! Hahaha
4 stars for everything! I'd give 5 but it's too small for us so 128077

I love their famous pansit lucban. This is the only pansit I know that you put vinegar on. And it works! For this visit ze hubby and I ordered their pizza - topped with lucban longganisa, ham, pineapple and plenty of cheese, this reminded me of take-out pizza my dad use to bring us when we were kids. Very pinoy and I love it!

Yummy pancit habhab for only 195 pesos, good for 3 persons (could use a bit more pork though.) Surprisingly, their Pinoy-style spaghetti has been voted number 1 on spot.ph's list (will have to try this soon!) They're open until midnight (1am during weekends) and is a great stopover after watching a concert/game at Araneta Coliseum.

This staple Filipino merienda tasted so good. The usual Pancit Lucban stands out from the rest as you pair it with Vinegar, instead of Toyomansi. The sourness makes the taste more authentic. With the price of 180-190php, you can enjoy this with while tagging along 2-3 friends because the serving was big enough.

PS The place was really decorated well. Indeed, it feels like you're attending a festival with the vibrant colors and celebratory ambience that can really brighten one's mood.
