I was craving for wings yesterday, so I tried this place again. I ordered the half-pound wings in garlic parmesan sauce. It was good but a bit oily. I still prefer the wings in Charlie's.

I liked this place better than the wingstop. Though their space was just too small. Hope they move in to bigger place.

If you're looking for REAL BLEU CHEESE DIP and excellent tasting New York Buffalo Sauce, this is the place to go to!

I don't like their "dirty rice" though.... May cilantro sa taas and basta, di siya bagay sa buffalo chicken hahaha! Pricey for a student, not bad for a mall-goer, cheap for a family! Hahahaha!

We stopped by SM North Annex for a quick lunch before heading home. Looking for a place to eat, we saw their poster as we entered the mall. We ignored it at first and then looked around. None of the other restaurants appealed to us as we circled the mall from ground floor up. But then we saw it again.

The restaurants was just an aisle wide good enough for a few tables. I counted 7 in total. Their kitchen is enclosed in a half glass wall and you can see their cooks at work. Good news for you! And it adds to the wow factor of the reataurant. You can definitely tell if they are neat and tidy. Here are the views from outside and inside the store.

I guess from the name of the diner you can tell what their specialty is, right? If no, I would be excited to point it out. Chicken wings from the secret Buffalo recipe. Buffalo wings have always rang in my ears and I am a bit intimidated by them.

Althought I love spicy foods, I had always thought these buffalo wings would put a hole in me. Add the fact that I dislike chicken wings because of the bony structure. But nevertheless, we ordered two sauces of wings and an order of breast fillet, an order of nachos with cheese and salsa and dirty rice, which means java rice with tomatoes and jalapeños salsa toppings.

They have a Mild to Hot meter to guide which sauce to choose. We chose the Kpop and New York's Finest for the 1/2 wings and Basil and Garlic for the single order of No Bones Fun (breast fillet). We also put in an additional order of Ultimate Wingsanity which is the HOTTEST sauce they have and I'll tell you why a little later. Here's the guide to let you know how hot it is:

And now for the taste review, let's start from the mild taste to the spiciest.

• Basil and Garlic
If you are not into spicy foods this is a sure winner. The aromatic basil is a perfect match for the chicken. There is but a slight hint of spice but it comes from the garlic. Definitely recommend this. Best topped on the fillet instead of wings.

• Kpop
The sauce consists of sweet soy sauce and the spice probably is from the korean spice sauce. You can definitely reminisce Bon Chon's soy garlic here except that this is more saucy. Not much a hint of pain there. You can top the sauce on your plain rice.

• New York's Finest
I thought it would be spicy, but it fell short as being the half-way-there level. I would say it is laden with paprika. It has a salty and slightly sour hint to it. Other than that, it's appreciative, but I don't understand why it was the best seller on their menu according to the waitress.

• Ultimate Wingsanity
According to the menu, you would need to sign a waver if you'll be participitating in eating a Triple Sampler of this within 5 minutes without water. Because my brother and I was disappointed with the spiceness of what we had earlier, him being able to eat a red chili everyday with his meals and could not live without one, we debated in ordering this or the Armageddon. My mom was against it at first, but we asked for our order to be changed to this sauce on last minute. So enough blabbering and off to the verdict.

At first bite, you really could not taste a hint of anything. But as 5-10 seconds of chewing, you could taste bitterness at first then everything fell apart and went kaboom! You could not taste anything at all. It's sheer pain as you grab the nearest cup of water, softdrinks or anything you could drown the fire with. We even ate macarons, sprinkled our tongue with a pack of sugar and finally ate a milk candy (Milky from Japan) which really did help a lot since milk has some properties to help with pain from spicy foods. My eyes were tearing up on their own and my brother's face is flaming red. We have the video to prove it but I am not sure if I should put it up as it is quite embarrassing!

Good to know: Spiciness is not a flavor nor taste our tongue detects. It is a feeling of pain sent by our pain receptors. Imagine your skin being burnt. That is why if we chop chilis, even our hands feel the excruciating burn and everything else we touch.

Now back to the story. The pain died down within a few minutes. Say around 5-15 minutes. My mom tried a drop of the sauce, like literally a drop on her tongue and she went mad. We asked what spices they put in but we were told it was a secret. We still had 2 pieces more to go. I could not imagine eating 15 pieces of a Triple Sampler for 5 minutes without water since we spent 15 minutes on just a piece drowning 2 cups of water.

Round 2
This went better than the first time since we already know what to expect. My brother and I developed a technique to eat it. But everything else will fail within a few minutes in. Phew glad we finished that!

In conclusion, never try this if you have heart problems, digestion or gastro problems, or simply if you cannot take eating anything spicy. You may certainly get hospitalized. NO KIDDING!

As a relaxer from that, here is a picture of the Nachos with Salsa and cheese.

Now let's talk about my experience with the service. The waitress who assisted us was really annoying at first. She sounded snotty and unwilling, and even answered our questions in a snobbish tone. So I told her to stop for a minute and said "You are being suplada too much." After that she started smiling. Believe me, with my personality, I would have bitten her head off but I did not today. Although my mom had some time to get over her attitude.

My Rating:
Value for Money 4/5
Taste 5/5
Ambiance 4/5
Service 3/5

I love chicken and spice!
Their buffalo chicken wings are good for everyone, whether you're the type who can't tolerate even the slightest touch of spiciness. They offer a wide range of sauces for your wings. Their fresh nachos are something new to me as well. It's not the usual out of the plastic cold nachos. Theirs are served hot so it won't give you a hard time chewing.

They also serve quesadillas and buritos! <3
This is an american-mexican snackfood in one.
Price is a pop! :)

Try it! :D
