Bugsuk Island's post sunset colors at the mangrove area. This is actually a nice spot to take sunset photos at Punta Sebaring. You just have to take a 5-10minutea walk, depending on your pace. And slather insect repellant as the nasty nikniks run aplenty in the area.
Inset photo post-sunset burst of colors taken on iPhone 6 in its raw state.

If you think you've seen the best of Palawan by going to the more popular destinations like El Nido, Coron, San Vicente, and Puerto Princesa...think again.
Located in the southern most tip of Palawan is a place called Balabac. You can get here from Manila via Puerto Princesa, then ride a van/bus to Rio Tuba for 5-6hours, then wait boat ride for 3-4hours. After experiencing buttcoma, you'll experience paradise.
One of the main islands, Bugsuk Island. A place where you'll see the ocean in all its glory boasting all shades of blue and all depths imaginable. One minute you can see the bottom, a minute after that you can't see anything anymore.
We stayed in Punta Sebaring for 4 days and 3 nights. There's a hut for shelter but we pitched our tents and tied hammocks to rest our weary body. No electricity but they have a trusty battery for motor vehicle and one bulb. Water source is from a well nearby.
We did some island hopping and sandbar hopping. What's unique about it is that the islands are so far from each other, some of them are even uninhabited so we practically some of the places for ourselves! In one of our many boat rides while in Balabac, we were greeted by a pod of dolphins!
There are groups (Rombo Balabac, KM Zero, and Plan B) who organize trips to Balabac and you can always do a DIY kinda trip. Just prepare the budget and transfers.
Must bring insect repellant for those nasty nikniks. Bring lotsa good vibes, too.
Inset photo taken with iPhone6. No filter, no edit, no nothing. Ameril Sandbar.
