Finally found the urge to write reviews! Haha.
This will also be the first time I'm using multiple photos for a review (better late than never)

--

Went to Tagaytay with my college friends for some term ender! We usually go out after finals but this is the first time we actually went out of town. Yay for progress! 128077🏻

The Cliffhouse has lots of restaurants you can choose from. If you're not planning to dine here and just enjoy the view and take instagram photos, you'll have to pay 200 php as parking fee. If you did, parking is free!

I'm not really a morning person but I enjoyed having breakfast here! I love looking at the majestic Taal Volcano while sitting in their comfortable chair that is so homey, I can sleep on it in a few minutes 128514

I ordered their Chicken Adobo Flakes that's served with fried rice, tomatoes and salted egg (which i craved for days thank God they put that there haha) I liked this one better than Early Bird Breakfast Club's adobo sunrise because unlike Early Bird's, this one's not sweet and the saltiness was just right AND cheaper. 128514

This branch has good customer service as well! It took us forever to decide what to order and the waiter did not look pissed at all! Haha!

I will always recommend this place to my relatives who, for some reason, are always in Tagaytay. They always avail the breakfast buffet in hotels where they check in and always complain how expensive it can get. While here, we spent less than 1000 php, sobrang busog na and ang ganda pa ng view! It's so sulit! 128077🏻

Imagine having an Italian breakfast while enjoying a panoramic view of Taal volcano and lake during a breezy morning.. one of the best mornings right? Well you can experience it here in Buon Giorno, Cliffhouse, Tagaytay!

I was enchanted by how beautiful the view was outside the restaurant! What a great way to start our Saturday morning 128524 Great for picture taking, too.

When we arrived here, we were the only customers. We had the place all for ourselves, much better. Less people, less noise. Just pure calm surrounding. We decided to eat al fresco because aside from the weather and the view, they have this thing called "Opium Bed." It's a wooden chair with white sheets hanging all over it. If you get this seat, you'll have a good overlooking view which is absolutely beautiful! You can look at the photos I uploaded.

My friends ordered Chicken Adobo Flakes and I ordered Longganisa. My order included native longganisa, fried rice, tomatoes, salted egg, and sunny side up egg. I love this kind of breakfast. For dessert, I tried their Chocolate Pistachio Sansrival. This luscious thin layers of buttery wafers drizzled with pistachio nuts was sinfully good. The food was worth the value we paid for.

Great view, good and affordable food, nice weather. Aaaaahh, this is how I like it. 128077🏼128147

My family and I went here for dinner since we were all craving Italian food. The place is quite big with dining tables in the airconditioned room and more tables if you wish to dine al fresco and enjoy the view of Taal lake.

For starters, we ordered the Foie Gras Insalata (P360). The rich, buttery foie gras complemented well with the refreshing taste of mangoes and raspberry dressing. The greens and candied pecans added texture and crunch to the salad.

We also ordered Fettuccini Carbonara (P320) and Tagliatelle Verde Gamberi (P340). Both were cooked al dente with very flavorful sauce. I am a fan of white sauce so I liked the carbonara better. My parents, on the otherhand, loved the gamberi because of the shrimp and the spinach noodles.

We had a hard time choosing which pizza to get so we ended up with the New York Pizza (P320). I love that they did not scrimp on the toppings and that the pizza is not oily like how other pizzas usually are.

Overall, we enjoyed the experience. It's a nice place for romantic dates, dinner with family, or hangout with friends.

The view was absolutely breathtaking. Cliffhouse Tagaytay couldn't be a more perfect location for a quick weekend getaway. Buon Giorno added a nice touch as well, with canopied love seats for al fresco diners.

We ordered the antipasti platter, a prosciutto and mushroom pizza, and the risotto with smoked salmon and asparagus. The former two dishes were so-so -- the antipasti platter was a little too watery for my taste (water belongs nowhere near cured meats and cheese), and the pizza could have done without those bell peppers. The purist in me also slightly detested their use of canned mushrooms for Italian pizza. :(

But the risotto was DELICIOUS. The rice itself was perfectly creamy and cheesy, mixed in with bits of cooked salmon and crunchy asparagus to keep your taste buds excited. The dish was topped with smoked salmon that added a whole new dimension to the different flavors, plus a few more stalks of asparagus. A must-try when visiting this restaurant!

- Cozy place
- Very accomodating staff

We had our saturday lunch over at this place. Just a quick stopover before heading down south. We had their creamy carbonara, aglio olio, chocolate pecan pie and their boun giorno salad but what will keep us coming back is their salmon and asparagus risotto. Too bad we're not that hungry we werent able to try their steaks. We will sure be coming back very soon!

Indoor and Outdoor Resto in Tagaytay that's very near Taal Vista Hotel where we are staying 128077🏻 so its really convenient for us just took us five min to get here by car coz the dinner buffet in the hotel was only until 9pm 128533 Food is good especially with the cool ambiance you will really feel the cool breeze coz the sliding doors are a bit open even though there's aircon...too bad some mosquitos were able to go inside so better put some mosquito repellant. They have a romantic corner with a daybed which needs to be reserved coz its always occupied 9996🏻️ Their Tarragon Tea is a must try 128077🏻 The minty flavor is refreshing 127861 Lamb Chops were tender and juicy and the thick slice of Sea Bass was fresh! Pizza has a crunchy thin crust loaded with cheese 128522 Their mudslide is a chocolatey drink with ice cream and cookies on a really tall glass that's why its a big hit for the kids!

Great food and ambiance!

This place has a great view of the Taal volcano. I highly recommend to dine-in al fresco. They have a nice area on the corner outside with a day bed which you can reserve in advance (see photo).

Food was great! We ordered the ff: caprese salad, four cheese pizza, new york pizza, spinach ravioli, lasagna and pollo parmigiana. We also tried their fresh fruit juices, my fave would be the grape juice.

I can say that they did not scrimped on the ingredients esp on the pizza. Everything tasted good and authentic. Pizza crust is thin and crispy- just the way we like it.

Will definitely come back to this place. 128525

Friends and bf wanted to eat some italian cuisine while we were in tagaytay so I suggested this place and they loved it ( the view more than the food 128513).

The place had the perfect view of Taal volcano and there were also a lot of other restaurants and stalls in the area.128525

Food:

We ordered canneloni spinachi - which was just okay 128533, lamb chops- which was also just okay , quattro formaggi127829- this one's really good and the atar of our late lunch dining, panna cotta127854- this is also very good but the serving was quite small. 128558

Pricing was affordable since most of the servings were good for sharing. 128077128077128077

Of all the times I went to Tagaytay, this is my first time to try this place and I don't know why. Haha.

Anyway, we had Sausage Risotto, Gamberretti, and New York Pizza. Worth all the carbs! Love all the dishes especially the risotto, equal parts creamy, salty, and spicy - a real party in your mouth!

I will always choose this place over Bulalo whenever I'm in Tagaytay. Hehe.

My constant order here is Spinach Canelloni and Quatro Formaggio. Still the best out there. This time we added salmon risotto. The texture of salmon is quite similar with sashimi. Love love the food and place.

This review has long been overdue. It was my mom's birthday last February 9 and I always make it a point to take her somewhere nice. A few days before the big day, I already booked the date and pre-ordered from the menu. Good thing I did because as soon as we arrived, which was 30 minutes earlier, the place was already packed. Upon informing the receptionist about my reservation, it took us no less than a minute to get seated. The staff were all very attentive and friendly. They also have a birthday cheer ready for the celebrators and I think I heard 3 others being sung to that night.

Now let's get down to business, the food. We got the ff:

🔺Buon Giorno's Special (salad)
🔺Al Margherita (pizza)
🔺Cannelloni Spinaci (pasta)
🔺Tagliatelle Verde Gamberi (pasta)
🔺Risotto Crimoso con Salmone Affumicto e Asparagi
🔺Apple Strudel
🔺Molten Chocolate Cake
🔺Chocolate Pistacchio Sansrival
🔺Panna Cotta (birthday compliment)

Everything, I mean everything, was superb! Thank God I ordered ahead of time, it just felt so exciting to have all our orders come in one after the other. Our table was full and looked exactly like the Italian feast I imagined it would be.

My brother especially loved both the cannelloni and risotto. And my mom, oh she was raving about the salad. As for the dessert, I originally didn't order the sansrival but there had been some sort of mix-up with my request. I opted not to cancel anymore since we were much too delighted to see all the wonderful sweet selections on our table.

I forgot to mention that we were allowed to bring the birthday cake. So after digging into our desserts, we asked if we could be moved to the al fresco area to have a slight change of scenery to enjoy the cake in. The staff willingly obliged and next thing we knew we were sucking in the Tagaytay breeze.

I couldn't think of a better way to end that lovely evening. Seeing the light shine in my mom's eyes made all the preparations worth it.

P.S.
One of the best things about this restaurant is the location. Although it's situated along the busiest and highly commercialized strip in Tagaytay, visitors looking for some peace and quiet may never notice this factor anymore since it's a few meters walk from the highway. You can get a perfect view of Taal lake and they have reclining chairs outside for guests to use. There is also a small paved walkway lined with flowers and trees where christmas lights are lit and dangling at night.

The staff, especially the manager, Ms. Helen, was very accommodating. We reserved the innermost opium bed for some privacy, but had to cancel due to typhoon Amang. Ms. Helen was kind enough to move our reservation the following day despite the last minute advice.

The food was generally superb. We were served freshly baked focaccia bread for starters. For our orders, we had the Buon Giorno's Special insalata, pizza al margherita, penne all' arrabiata, and the molten chocolate cake for dessert.

The focaccia bread was one of the best I had tasted. I could say the same for the pizza and the pasta. The herbs used in both were fresh and really flavorful. I liked the margherita because it was delicious in its simplicity. The arrabiata was not as spicy as I expected, but the tangy pomodoro base and spices were just perfect nonetheless. There were bacon bits here and there, which I would have preferred toasted for added texture, but that's just me.

I can't say I loved the insalata, probably because the dressing did not sit well with my tastes. However, the produce was fresh. The cake was a disappointment, though. It had a consistency close to that of a pudding. Totally didn't enjoy that one.

The view from our seat/bed was fantastic, but the "bed" could use a change of linen. Other than that, it was a wonderful dining experience. 128522

Last Jan 3, before going back to manila, I brought Mommy here for lunch. Earlier that day, I already made a reservation so we wouldn't have to wait and yes, good thing I called because there were a lot of people waiting! 128588

I already forgot the names of what we ordered but they were all okay. Not the best but still, good.

The complimentary bread was soft and yummy. You get to ask for refills, as well! They were really good!!! 128513128513128079

The seared tuna and salad wasn't that great but not bad, either. Just okay.

The pizza was yummy with lots of toppings and cheese. It was good but it didn't stayed warm that long. Maybe because of the cold weather na rin. So once served, eat it right way! 128521

We ordered 2 pasta dishes. The seafood pasta was okay. Nothing special. But the lasagna was super beefy and cheesy and not nakakaumay. This, I really enjoyed! 128077

Service was hmm okay? Some servers were nice and attentive while some were snob? We had a hard time getting their attention and if ever we did, they will just say wait. 128527

We ordered a lot of dishes. And there were three orders that clinged to my taste buds.. ( just another excuse coz i forgot the names of the other dishes. Lol)

1. Prime Rib Eye (In the Picture) - This was the highlight of our dinner. Tender and juicy! The whole family was satisfied with the 1k peso worth dish. It was also served with a small salad. Go and try for yourself. 128521128537128076

2. Braised Lamb Shank - The lamb was so tender. It was big too and it didn't have the "lansa" taste. One must try 128522128077

3. Quatro Formaggi Pizza - pizza that i wouldn't recommend. It was too salty for me 128533
