Since their other dessert was unable, I had to "settle" for this. Yeah...boo me. Hahaha. Seriously, I like tiramisu so this was a-okay on my book. It was smooth though bordering on the chocolate side. Best to pair with their brewed coffee. 9749

Was thinking of ordering pasta and pizza but saw they have paella so i had to try it. Their gambas was ok. Their paella is satisfactory and their lengua was good. Lava cake is yum!

Appetizers:
Gambas
Calamari
Baked Oysters

Entrees:
Margherita Pizza
Angel Hair Puttanesca
Paella Marinara

Gambas and their free bread was promising but otherwise not so satisfied. Overall a bit pricey for serving size and taste. There are better tasting Italian food for the same price or a bit less.

I was down South last Saturday and Sunday for our thesis shoot. We shot a scene in this restaurant and as payment, we just had to order. The boyfriend of my friend owns this place and he was quite knowledgable of what to order and what not to order so we sort of had a guide.

We ordered tomato soup for our talents, two orders of their Rocola panizza which is basically a super thin crust pizza which can be rolled. It was served with fresh arugula and olives to top it off. I was so excited to eat this but I was only able to get a super small slice because apparently, the companion of one of the talents ate too much. Care to share?! 128514

We also had an order of their Margherita pizza which was just okay.

Service was excellent and the staff was very accommodating. 128077

Satisfied with the food we ordered :) paella negra, paella española, 5-cheese pizza and mango jubillee. The staff are courteous and very easy to deal with, that's a plus for us to come back here.

The best Pollo al Cacciatora I've tasted before was from here. We decided to come back because of it. We ordered our reason for dining, Puttanesca, Tagliata Di Manzo, Crostini al Pomodoro and Chocolate Lave Cake for dessert.

Crostini al Pomodoro, bread topped with tomato and basil sauce has a great mix of flavor. The bread was too soft and humid making it seem like it was reheated several times.

The Pollo al Cacciatora makes me eat black olives and still has the taste that we like. The problem this time is the meat. It was too tough.

We chose angel hair pasta for our Puttanesca. I enjoyed it because it wasn't too strong-flavored.

Tagliata Di Manzo, Beef fillet with white wine sauce served with mashed potatoes was okay. I liked the suppleness of the meat but it was too ordinary tasting.

I fell in love with their chocolate lava cake! Warm oozing chocolate filled cake got me off from the italian flavors. the cake was also moist and the vanilla ice cream used was of good quality. I wasn't able to finish it because I have been barking for the whole week but it was really good.

Three stars for food taste inconsistency. Hooray for Buonissimo badge!!

I last gave this place a visit in 2010 when it was still along Daang Hari and remember loving their Risotto so I decided to give it another try when Yushoken was packed.

Sheldon G ordered the Aglio Olio, and I shared the Risotto (seafood) with my mom. We also got the Gambas to share.

I was a bit unhappy with the Risotto because it wasn't as I remembered it. :( It was cooked al dente but I have no idea if it really was (al dente) or undercooked because it was too hard, we couldn't chew on it.:((((( I asked to have it cooked again but by the time it got back to us, we weren't in the mood to eat anymore. Flavor was good though, so I'm giving it 3 stars. Service was good, too.

(Aglio Olio was okay. Not a big fan. Gambas was bitin, but garlicky good.)

Ambience of the place is perfect and the staff very courteous and prompt with their service. Food was even more mouthwateringly amazing down to the bread plates. Their mushroom truffle soup is the best ive tasted so far with some amazing dishes worth coming back for.

Disaster Fridate!!!

After a day of marathon meetings traversing north, south, east and west of Metro Manila.... I rushed home to meet the family for our weekly fridate pig-out.

The wifey insisted in eating to a well endorsed italian resto in Molito, Buona Vita and i bowed down to her liking...(wrong :p) even though i feel that it's an overhyped resto.

Upon entering the resto, the place exhudes a fascade of fusion resto instead of an Italian resto as the name connotes, yet as we browse the menu.... Both italian and spanish dishes were served.

We ordered ff

Calamares
2 Mushroom soup
5 cheeze pizza
Lasagna
Salpicado
Tenderloin
Paella espanola for 2
Gelato
Choco lava cake
Grape shake
Coffee

Total bill: P3,789 (incl service charge)

We were first served with a basket of bread sticks, foccacia, pita w small dips of spinach in olive oil and salsa...

Calamares and mushroom soup were then served, the squid rings tasted bland and some were even burntly fried.. Mushroom soup was just ok

I ordered my salpicado ,medium but an overcooked beef arrived with an over soy sauced taste that can give you a heart attack.

My son ordered a not so tender tenderloin that needed a beating before you can cut thru.

The 5cheeze pizza (expected to be better than quattro formaggio) arrived and a very thin crusted bland pizza was served and need to drown it in tabasco to appreciate it.

Lasagna was ok accdg to my son (though i do not trust his judgement hahaha)

Paella arrived last and was surprised that calamansi was paired with it instead of lemon (cheapo) considering it was priced P595..

Serving was good for 3 but taste was good for none, it was nowhere closed to a spanish dish nor it tried to be one.

All in all, i was not surprised that the bill was on the high side and i felt still hungry after the meal.

And At least i had my sweet fix after a not so satisfying dinner.

My verdict, Buono Vita is a cross between Piadina and Amici with a pricing of a first class italian resto.

I'd rather eat at Piadina or Amici or even Greenwich for that matter instead of wasting money eating here...

My comment to my wife, "i told you so" hahaha

Great Italian spinach and cheese ravioli, four cheese pizza, grilled chicken. Easy dining. Perfect for enjoying with excellent wines of your own or of the restaurant. above average wine list at reasonable prices.

They serve good breads. i used to visit the place in daanghari. i love their carpaccio. People seem to have mixed feelings about this restaurant. I hope they enable postings in their facebook page so customers can freely give their feedback.

Really good thin-crust pizza. Loved the five cheese pizza with prosciutto. Their complimentary bread basket comes with pesto and tomatoes.
