Burnham Park is probably one of the last places we’d consider to spend the night given the crazy crowd it attracts especially on holidays and weekends. However, Pokemon Go changed all that. R has never been more excited about going to crowded places especially if it has a lot of Poke Stops and gyms.

Hello, Burnham Park!

Hailed as one of the best places to catch Eevees, farm items and score some Poke Gold from gyms, this humongous park attracts a lot of Pokemon Go gamers (and fanatics). But this park is more than just a gamers’ paradise.

Aside from the bountiful items and Pokemon this place offers, it is also a great place to get Baguio’s famous strawberry taho (PHP25), strawberry sorbetes (PHP25) and other street food finds such as green mangoes with bagoong and even instant coffee for those who are not used to the north’s cool weather. Most of the street food vendors are stationed near the fountain, a few blocks away from the famous pond where you could rent a swan boat.

As we stroll around the park, I noticed that there is also an area where you could rent a bike. Sadly, you could only bike around that same block and cannot use it to circle the whole park.

What I liked about this place is that, unlike Quezon Memorial Circle, it is a lot cleaner and maintained. I could sit on one of the benches without feeling iffy about it. I also loved that there are a lot of flowers surrounding us, making the ambiance a lot nicer as we enjoy the cool breeze while catching whatchamacallit.

Tip: It tends to be very crowded in the afternoon so it is best to drop by a bit past 8pm during off peak season. This review is based on our visit last July 2016.

It's Christmas season and everyone's in Baguio, including us. We arrived our hotel at around 3pm and had late lunch, and since Burnham was just walks away from our hotel, we decided to pay it a visit so we won't waste the few hours left on our time that day.

This place is sweet! Prior to coming here, I researched on the things we can check out in Burnham, but I wasn't able to notice any of those here (maybe because it was too crowded). But, it's still a good experience. I loved seeing and taking photos of the Burnham lake, especially during sunset. (Taking photos was enough for me because the line for the boating in Burnham was too long.)

There are also vendors found on one area of the park, selling all sorts of things from jewelries to toys.

When the night came, Burnham Park was filled with lots of lights. There's also a huge Christmas tree in the middle of the park that was also full of lights, and an area with fountains. Walking around the place is enough to make you feel the Christmas spirit, especially when you're with your loved ones.

I'd love to come back to Burnham Park to experience its attractions and walk around and feel Baguio's cold breeze.

When in City of Pines, most visited places are parks..

One of the most famous is Burnham Park.

Like any other parks, nothing special aside from you can stroll in the lagoon via boats that you can rent ranging from Php 100.00.

Still a must in Baguio City.

This is one of the places we never miss when in Baguio.

We always go biking whenever we visit this place. Was really glad to see that there's a new type of bike now. They call it a chopper. You can rent it for 75 pesos for 30 minutes.

It's a bit heavy to pedal especially if you're like me who's unfit, ha. 128516 But it's a really fun thing to do to kill time and have some fun. You get a workout while having fun.

Your Baguio adventure wouldnt be complete without a visit to Burnham park. You can do biking, boating, or just walk wherever your feet takes you. There were manghuhulas, tattoo and massage services and food vendors everywhere. 128077 As i dont know how to bike, I just bought green mangoes and strawberry taho while watching the kids who were playing. 128514128514128514 Not a good combo though! Hahaha
Also, they should do something about the beggars. There were a LOT!!! 128551128551

One of Baguio's well known places is Burnham Park. Where guests can rent a bike, or ride these boats. Surprisingly, it isn't crowded yet. You can freely enjoy the place for a good walk or ride a bike just depending on your take. The place is clean, and the flowers are in good bloom already. There are variety of flowers around and there are street vendors too in case you're hungry. The place is near the public market and there are lots of public transportation nearby. It's just sad though that there are lots of beggar asking for alms. And they're grandma and grandpa of age. 128532 Well, this is Still worth a visit when in Baguio!

Even at night, Burnham Park is a beauty. Perfect for strolling. And, just your general down time. Lovely for working hand-in-hand with your loved ones (again, no sweat!). Aside from walking, you may also try the bike and/or boat for rent. Not sure of the price since we didn’t get to try it, but I think it’s around Php100. Also, there are a lot of comfort rooms available, for Php5. Mamang magtataho also sells strawberry taho (if you haven’t tried it yet) for Php30 a cup. If you just want to look around and people-watch, lots of park benches are available. They also have this Christmas installation, for picture-taking. At around 8pm, SM Baguio hosted a fireworks display, and it was looking pretty from Burnham Park. The fireworks display also lasted longer than what I’m used to, so it was beautiful and amazing.

It's not just a park for me, but a good place to spend your morning. You can do the biking, riding the boat and walking. The best part is the Strawberry Ice Cream. 127827127846

We decided to ride a boat instead of a bike coz this is what Burnham Park's all about aside from bicycles and everything. 128588🏻128077🏻

We were three our rent fee for the boat was 150php we then bargained it to 100php hahaaha!! (Kapal ng fez namin) Luckily, the kuya was then generous enough to accept it! Thanks kuya!! You've been great! 1285139786

The boat ride will take you 30-45minutes depending on how good you can row your boat!! We told ourselves that we won't take that long and what happened was of course the other way around we took so long to get off the water coz rowing the boat is not that easy grr!! (Magkaka muscle ka talaga as in! Pag successful ka pwede ka na sumali sa dragon boat team ng Pinas hahaha!!)128514128513128514 Haaay!! But it was a great experience yey!! 128556

We finished our rowing game with an ice cream hahaha balewala ang lamig!! 128523

I would never get tired of visiting this place over and over again. Who would not love a place of relaxation and recreation?

This park located at the heart of Baguio city houses a lot of recreational activities. You can row a boat in its manmade lake, ride a bike, have a picnic, (window) shop, eat and eat and eat, watch others skate, do some sports or just stroll around the park and enjoy relatively cold weather.

Don't forget to bring your camera because every angle is worth an Instagram post. 128513 If you don't have a camera, don't worry because there are photographers everywhere. One photographer even gave my sister a free candid picture.

Break your diet for a while because food is everywhere. Don't count the calories you get from strawberry ice cream, mangoes, strawberry taho, street food, and other delicacies.

Can't wait to visit the city of pines again!

(PS: This place is where I learned how to ride a bike.) 128514

We had short stop over in Baguio city before heading back to Manila after our Benguet 7 Peaks Climb. While others were busy buying some Pasalubong, I took advantage of the time to explore and check if there's something interesting added to their attraction. The last time I'm here, I didn't get a chance to experience boating so I rented a boat for just 100.00 pesos unlimited boat ride. I had so much fun.. sagwan dito sagwan doon but I am not moving… Natatawa nalang ako lalo na yung pabalik kasi hindi ako umuusad so I shout to seek help kay kuya to pull off the rope. This is also a perfect place to jog.,if I only have my rubber shoes with me, I'll definitely go on jogging too.
