I've never been much of a fan of Filipino food for dining out. But this place offers one of the best crispy patas in town, served as kare-kare, and probably the best ginisang munggo I've ever had. 128077Unfortunately, that's all I like here. 128547I'm a big fan of sinigang, but their sinigang is not up to my standards. This morning, me and my food-loving office mates tried their unlimited breakfast, but the selection was not quite impressive, and maybe (just maybe) you'll have a more satisfying breakfast at McDo nearby. 128532 If you happen to pass by, remember to stick with the crispy kare-kare and the munggo. 128524

Everyday pinoy breakfast buffet for only Php 200++.

After seeing their banners along the streets in Greenhills, I suggested that my family take our Sunday breakfast at this place after hearing mass at the nearby parish church.

We had mixed reactions from our visit.

The restaurant shares the same building with the C3 Events place. Despite the fact that we have gone to the Events venue for a couple of private functions, it was everyone's first time to dine at this next door restaurant.

The place looked nice , bright ,and cozy. The staff was friendly.

The buffet table seemed to offer a decent number of choices. I said SEEMED....because the choices were pretty basic and was lacking in variety: Longanisa, fried egg, fried rice, corned beef, a mixed green bar, omelet bar, molo soup, lumpiang Hubad, fried tuyo, and cake.

We wanted to transfer but my mom made the decision that we just stay because she and her grandkids were already hungry.

One thing I liked about their buffet was that the food were plated in warm small plates then put in the silverware servers. Practical, so customers just get what they can finish.

I started with the salad. Their balsamic vinaigrette tasted ok.

Fortunately , the langonisa, corned beef, and omelette bar were well received by my family. The langonisa was sweet and garlicky but not oily ( the way we liked it). The corned beef was home made and was good. The omelette bar, though limited to cheese , Chinese chorizo, bell pepper, mushroom, and onion add-ons, was good as well. I liked the fact that they were able to accommodate my request for an all egg-white omelette.

The lumpiang Hubad was bland, the molo soup-salty, and the tuyo was over fried. The fried rice was a bit too dry.

The cake that they served was the Baked Cherry Walnut Cheesecake. Everyone loved it. It's the same as the one served at their sister restaurant-Cravings. Oreo cookie crust with a thin white chocolate glaze topped with thick creamy-tangy-sweet cream cheese cake with walnuts. The cherry Coulis topping was perfect in cutting the richness of the cake. I think I had 3 slices! Went well with their unlimited brewed coffee.

We would have enjoyed it more if they had tapa and other pinoy viands in the food choices.

I would have rated this visit with 2 stars, but then, somehow I liked some of the dishes that they served. Come to think of it, for Php 200 ++ , it wasn't really a bad deal.
