I don't really like Bibingka but I loved this Bibingka Soufflé. It's sweet, it's salty, and it's fluffy. 128523

Had Christmas lunch here in Tagaytay to skip the crowds on the other restaurants. Serves classic Filipino food, though also a bit more expensive.

I was hoping for it to taste better too but it was just ok.

The group had the classic bulalo, kare kare, calamares and the dinuguan.

All ok, not exceptional. Went here initially for the ambiance, went out still with the same sentiment.

We were supposed to eat at Josephine Restaurant [JR] but unfortunately, the place is already full and a lot of people were still waiting to be seated. Our only option left was to look for another one. Good thing C2 is just across JR. It's located inside the Summit Ridge Hotel. I urged that we should eat here because I've once tried C2 (just in another branch) and had a good experience -- food and service wise.

Upon entering this restaurant, we were kinda surprised to see that the place is filled..with..empty..seats! Haha 128517! So it was a good move. Yeah, yeah. And we were assisted to be seated right away. We initially liked to order for Sumpia and Souper Molo but these were not available at the moment.

Check out my photo for some of our orders (L-R, T-B): Lumpiang Hubad, Pandan Iced Tea, Sago't Gulaman, Buko Pandan Shake, Seared Tilapia in Coconut Emulsion, Sotanghon Guisado

Overall, we [or I again] had a wonderful experience.

Lunch @ C2 Classic Cuisine with the family. Filipino dishes cooked with a twist of special flavorings. The foods feel very much different than the usual Filipino foods we eat. Presentation is good, taste is good. But the best part is that their foods are bang for the buck. We really had a good time eating @ C2.

Breakfast at C2 in Summit Ridge Hotel was decent. At least five different viands, yesterday it was pork tocino, omelette, Hungarian sausage, frankfurter and fish fillet. It was well kept and pleasant. I find it better managed than when it was new so I was pleased. I'm not sure how much the breakfast is, but if its like Manila na mga P400, therabouts, it's good enough for it. LOL.

They also have in the afternoon an unli coffee and cakes for P185.
