Ca Phe Saigon

So glad we found a close to authentic Vietnamese restaurant in Marikina, affordable menu compared to other Viet restaurants with service charge, fresh, fresh, fresh! light in taste but full meal.. Lovely owner, great staffs, and with FREE FAST WIFI!

1) P120 Goi cuon (Fresh Rolls) - rice noodles w/ lettuce, mint leaves, lean pork, shrimp with special PEANUT SAUCE ( REQUEST for EXTRA PEANUT SAUCE for FREE!!!)

2) P100 Bahn cuon (Steam Rolls) - 4 pcs of steamed rolls with pork, shrimp, mushroom, and carrot filling served on a bed of shredded lettuce and topped with crisp shallots with a side of special Vietnamese sweet fish sauce (I prefer the PEANUT SAUCE than the fish sauce)

3) P100 Banh Mi - choice of BEEF (pork/chicken), 6inch baguette with fresh lettuce, cucumber, and special Vietnamese pickles
(tasted like Subway's, fresh, crispy baguette)

4) P150 Pho bo kho (Beef Stew noodles) with lemon grass, achuette, and with tender pieces of beef with bean spouts and basil leaves as side dish
(Not as authentic as I expected, light in taste, no hint of spiciness)

5) P180 Bun thit cha gio (Special Dry Noodles Combination) - Vermicelli noodles with combination of fried rolls and choice of PORK (Chicken/Beef)
(pork was on the sweet side, eerie taste of fried rolls)

6) P100 Basil Detox Drink - hint of Guava

7) P60 Ca Phe Da (Vietnamese Iced Coffee) - Vietnamese dark roast coffee individually brewed with a small metal French drip filter into a cup containing about a wuarter to a half to as much sweetened condesed milk (RECOMMENDED)

We wanted a light dinner after all the heavy holiday eating. We love Bawai's vietnamese fare but decided to try a place in Marikina that also serves vietnamese cuisine. It was not too hard to find via Waze. It was full when we finally got there and settled for a table outside. We ordered the fresh spring rolls, steamed rolls, phoa for everyone, crispy noodles with seafood and they were all good, probably like eating in a home in Saigon. We tried all 3 kinds of Bahn mi : pork, chicken and beef. The baguette was crisp but did not like the fact that it had mayo...a lot of it. Wanted to try the Vietnamese drip coffee and my kids ended up getting one of their own. We were all awake till late from the caffeine but what holidays for... Really affordable. Will come back for the Phoa but so far its Bawai Bahn mi for me.

For authentic Vietnamese cuisine that will make you come back for more, this is really the place to be!

Spent one Saturday here with my BFF and we ordered their Lettuce Salad (with Pork), Fresh Spring Rolls and Beef Dry Noodles. We got their Cucumber Juice and Viet Iced Coffee for our drinks.

All the dishes were served with fresh veggies, paired with authentic Vietnamese sauces.

My most favorite would be the authentic Viet Iced Coffee that was served with class too. 128077🏼

It was my first time trying out a Vietamese restaurant and it didn't fail :)

Food: we tried springs rolls, noodle soup, and fresh rolls. They were all yummy! And for the first time I felt like I was eating "clean". Cause everything we ate were made of veggies! Lol.
Drink: I tried their Elder Flower and I loved it! I think I am going to try to make this detox at home :)
Price: very affordable and reasonable
Place: you won't notice it at first. Haha. Maybe try to find it at google first or use Waze :)

Was craving for bahn mi and since I'm on maternity leave, my only option is that place in Marquinton, which serve crappy bahn mi, and this one.

They're take on bahn mi is ok, I still miss the liver pate and sweet soy sauce with chili sauce in my sandwich. Iced coffee is pretty good, as well as their fresh rolls.

The other server was a bit confused, when I reminded her of my iced coffee, she came back with a bowl of ice.

Place is quite hidden but was able to go there using waze.

FINALLY A VIETNAMESE RESTO IN MARIKINA!! The menu has limited choices but everything was authentic "viet". The taste was not compromised considering the prices were relatively cheap.
