I tried this before and it was just okay. Very limited options of Filipino cuisine and the taste wasn't that good. Really, nothing special in this restaurant.

Knowing that, I was surprised that my friends decided to bring the Korean staff from our former university in Korea including the President of the university.

We should have brought them somewhere Class A that probably, they would experience better Filipino cuisine. Anyway, we had fun despite the food which tasted just okay.

Filipino buffet at Cabalen it seems that their food is losing the quality i admired before. The appetizers looks boring tokwat baboy is 98% tokwa the gatang kohol is so bland is the kohol is too small very difficult to eat the rest is the same i only enjoy 2 dishes pangat na isda they usef real tamarind not powder so good and lechon kawali so tender and taste reslly good. Desserts also boring halo halo ingredients are not complete the puto and biko is so matigas. I just hope they monitor the quality of food. Service is also slow it take them a while just to tefill the drinks. Not so happy in this visit i hope next time will be better.

Last night we went to Cabalen for dinner.

My general impression is that most of the food was just ok.

The highlight is Litson Kawali, it's very tender, it almost melts in your mouth.
Runner-ups are Dinuguan and the clams (wasn't able to see the name of the dish)
Some fried dishes--those fried with dressings aren't that crispy.
Halo-halo ingredients were limited.
Pork Siomai is almost non-existent because is wasn't refilled.

Php398 is cheap compared to other buffer meals.
Having an SM Advantage Card is a plus--You pay only for 5 persons and the 6th is free.

This was the most affordable filipino buffet before but I guess until now though their price got a bit higher. I love their food most especially the kare-kare and the kangkong chips, haha! I just wished they have a bigger placed so they can accomodate more guests.

Cabalen Eat all u Can, Eat all you want!

December is a pig out month for me. 127860 buffet buffet left and right. We checked in at Edsa Shang last Dec 23 for our advance Christmas staycation then at night we went to Megamall for pahabol Chrtistmas shopping. We met my mom there and we end up at Cabalen located at the Atrium 3rd floor.

It's been awhile since the last time we dine at Cabalen because of the few food choices and this time I changed my mind. I'm loving it again and thanks to hubby for bringing us here.

Of all the dishes the lechon kawali is a winner! So crispy! Naka dalawang balik ako. Inintay Ko talaga yung bagong luto. Omg ginutum ako while typing this...,

Deserts were good too.. Very Filipino and of course rates is cheaper compare to other buffet resto. Not bad and I think I'm going back again 127860128522

Not really recommended if you want to try the buffet experience kasi konti lang yung food. Konti na nga, hindi pa mapalitan agad. They're 398 per head (drinks not included) tho drinks range from 50-100 naman. I don't recommend their ripe mango shake and red iced tea, NOT EVEN CLOSE TO TOKYO TOKYO'S RED ICED TEA AND MANGO SHAKE DOESN'T EVEN TASTE RIPE 128514 Service is REALLY slow. Tipong nabubulunan ka na, wala pa rin yung drink mo haha! Azar
Three stars pa rin bc food's not that bad naman 9786

Lunchout with teammates. My first dine in here was a few years back on the birthday celebration of my uncle at Market! Market! Branch. The second time was the recent wedding reception of my workmate. On my third time here in Megamall, i think i was really hungry that i almost forgot that i am only eating dishes same as what we can cook at home. I think their menu was not sulit for the rate and also the dishes are too common. All in all for a hungry person it was not a good place for an eat all you can experience. 128547

My uncle from England visited us here in Philippines. And he wanted to have dinner with us and he asked me to choose for a nice buffet restau. since he knew me as "food connoiseur" DAW 128514 lol kahit hindi.

I suggested in H Cuisine since I read a lot of good reviews about it. And he probably agreed. Clincher: we didn't eat there because I was late, waiting for my sister to come home from school. And they were all hungry and the first 'eat all you can' restau they found was CABALEN. And namiss daw niya filipino food so yeah.

What a bad experience to eat here. Sobrang limited choices lang ng food. Food tastes like it was yesterday pa. Yung tocino maasim. 128558 bottomless iced tea sya pero hindi sila nagrorounds para magrefill. You have to get the pitcher pa sa counter 128548 super hassle while you're eating syempre.
Tapos eto pa! For 3 consecutive days all of my family were suffering from diarrhea. At first, akala ko ako lang. Yun pala lahat kami.

Won't ever go back here again. NEVER EVER! 128548128548128078

Where to start, where to start? Okay first service was slow and horrible. The food was disappointing. The price seemed to be all right, I guess. And I noticed that the personnel were waiting till the dishes were all gone before they would put some more.

You will get full but not satisfied.

The worst buffet ever. People go hungry because service is so slow and people usually lineup for nothing but leftovers.

Food
On their
Buffet, would have been ok. If you offer buffet, you better have food
On the
Buffet. I took the kids
To try it, some
Items on the buffet just had sauce. Like the kare kare. I used

Hmmm. Their crew at the buffet sections were very accommodating, but they don't regularly replenish their food when its already empty.

Food was okay.

This is where I go if I'm feeling undecided what to eat, specially during lunch. For Php398 per head and add 60 for bottomless drinks ain't that bad if you're thinking of having a heavy lunch.

Filipino dishes are what they offer and they taste fairly good. One that surprised me was their Bangus Lumpia. Yup, Bangus... first bite, I never would have thought it was Bangus, it tasted as if it's pork. So, having said that, of course I had lots of it, lol! If you're a fan of Lechon, better be quick or the fat and skin will elude you, prying eyes and alert predators are always present, hahahaha 128516 They have this create your own halo-halo although there are very few ingredients that you can choose from........i think only 6 ingredients.

Servers are friendly, always smiling when you call their attention and always looking out for those glasses that need refill. Such are qualities that servers on other establishments should practice.

Overall, I walked out stuffed and contented. I wouldn't bother eating here again should I pass by again and feeling undecided what to devour, haha! 128513

In 2001 all my office mates had the dinner buffet in Cabalen, Glorietta. We all had food poisoning and did not work the following day. 2013, will I return? Nope.

Great buffet selection. The food is similar to the ones usually prepared in fiestas. Cheap for a buffet.
