As a part of my Panay Island exploration, I made up to my mind that I shouldn't missed out Isla Gigantes (higantes) in Iloilo.
So I looked for a day tour package accross FB and I found Gigantes Island Tours & Services. They offered me 999php per person, with lunch buffet, all the needed entrance fees and charges plus! A FREE waterproof cellphone pouch. Nice right?
We came from Roxas the day before we moved in Iloilo. It was a 3hrs ride going to Bancal Port in Carles, Iloilo.
We arrived 2 hrs. earlier than the exact call time. Which means, we can look for a place to leave our luggages and thanks to the dispatcher he let us leave our things inside the cafeteria for free after that when we still have more time, we went to the market near the port and we bought danguit, tuyo, fish tapa, dilis and pusit. All these were dried goods. Just ask for discount and the vendors will generously give you a discount. I even got free fish tapa. Hehe
By 8AM, we departed Bancal port and had a 45mins to 1 hr boat ride to Cabugao Gamay Island or also known as Maruja Flora's Island Paradise Resort.
It is the most photographed and popular Island here. As we docked on the island, there were flocks of guests already up on the view deck. There is where the photo sesh was taking place.
The sand here was not fine, it has dead corals and pebbles. The water was so crystal clear and different shades of blue are very visible.
Upon goung up the view deck, I asked our guide how the one I was chatting on FB related to ms. Maruja as they were both Bolivar-s? 🤔 then he told me na sila lang naman ang may ari ng Island na yun. Like OMG! medyo nahiya ako kasi super dami kong tanong sa kanila and super kulit ko days before ng tour just clarifying things out. Tapos malalaman ko, sila na pala ang may ari ng island na pupuntahan namin?! Ok. Vouch ko na sila at promise they are LEGIT! 💯
Now on the viewing deck, each group has been allotted a 3mins time limit for picture taking. Girl, the view here was so so so beautiful! As in sobrang ganda! So just make the most poses you can when you have the chance. Pang IG entry!
This is the 1st island on our itinerary. More to go! Hehe
Sorry for the late reviews tho. This was just last April 22,2018

Probably the most famous and most photogenic island in Gigantes. Honestly speaking, I thought you would trek at least an hour to get this view but it will only take you 3 minutes. Hahaha! Sorry na. It looks high in photos. Mapanlinlang!
There's not much shade especially at the top of the rocks where people take photos so you better bring an umbrella while waiting for your turn to pose. Lol.
There's a store in the island where you can buy softdrinks and water. 🏻

The most pictured area in Islas de Gigantes islands! Cabugao Gamay is perfect for a quick stroll by the beach. Coconut trees line up the shores where tables and chairs are perfectly nestled for anyone who wishes to eat here. The best part of this island is actually going up in the rock formation to get the best angle for that perfect dream spot! :-)

The most photographed island in Islas de Gigantes is the Cabugao Gamay. It has an entrance fee of 50php. To capture the picturesque view, you need to climb the small hill on the end side of the island. The place is ideal for swimming because the waves are calmer. The clear and turquoise-colored water is really inviting. You can also have an overnight stay in this island.

One of the islands in Gigantes archipelago. This is the most prominent island. One can enjoy twin beach. If high tide, you can jump from the view deck to the waters and be an instant cliff diver. Cabugao is one of the islands included in the island hopping.
