I didn't know what to get here so I went with the soup of the day and a burger...and had a cup of brewed coffee to wash it all down.

I really liked the squash soup and the coffee. The burger was ok...just that I've had better elsewhere, cheaper. 128515

Cafe 1771 holds a special place in my 128151 This is where my sister held her wedding reception in 2014. And this place really helped to make it a night to remember. The food is great but among all, chocolate caramel mouse cake had me at hello. It was the dawn of the era when I started to love caramel and I have Cafe 1771 to thank that for. Also, the people here are very accomodating. I love the colors of their interior. 128153128151 really pop up and give a warm sensation of coziness. I've noticed though thay they gave up their wine bar upstairs when we passed by ADB avenue just recently which is a pity. Nevertheless, this is still a feel-good place where you can relax and recharge after a hard day's work.

Great ambience, perfect for intimate gatherings. Very quaint and secluded. I love that they serve complimentary popcorn, because I was already hungry when I went there.lol The cute presentation didn't hurt either.

Ordered the Raclette for appetizer and boy did it smell funky. Taste-wise, not funky at all but overall just found it okay. The bread they serve with it was bitin.

Had the Chicken Marinara or something (forgot the exact name) and found the grilled chicken with tomato sauce to be tasty, I just wish they served more bacon strips (as the dish only had one!!). I didn't like the Lamb Shoulder Chops. I thought it was grilled lamb chops, turned out it's stewed like kaldereta, and the taste I did not like so much. Not ordering this again.

P.S. With its decor, this place would be perfect for brunch! They also have library themed rooms which I found homey and sleek at the same time with brown leather couch/chairs. Perfect for functions or celebrations!

This place has the perfect ambiance if you just want to sit down and have an intimate conversation.

The interiors are nice and staff is very friendly. It has its ups and downs when it comes to food though.

I ordered their Caesar Salad, it wasn't the best, but it was still good. :)

I really liked their Grilled Cheese Sandwich! The baguette was delicious and the salsa on the side was also full of flavor.

Yes, I will definitely keep coming back to this place. :)

I was too excited to eat so I forgot to take a picture. Haha!

We ordered the Caldereta, which was super awesome because it had this huge shank in it! And the bone marrow inside it tasted like butter! Oh my. I loved every bit!

The Gambas was good too.

Though the lamb tasted like Callos, which I am not a big fan of.

Our order took a while. But that was okay, the food was good. 9786

A very classy place.
I was surprised to know that there is a place like this near my office. It was a bit secluded, stylish and elegant. The food choices are a bit expensive but it was worth it. They offer wide variety of wines too.

We had the following:
Oysters Rockfeller - it was Aklan based oysters topped with creamy spinach, bacon and cheese. It was yummy and fresh. It was huge also haha

Cafe 1771 Specialty of the house
1. Organic Chicken in Potato Crust - it was a slowly baked chicken covered with cracked potato chips. Good thing the chicken was still juicy, it was delicious. I cant stop myself to bite after bite on it. The chips is a bit oily so I didnt munch on it that much. But the chicken, it was different yummy story hihi.

2. 1771 Burger - 200g Angus beef patty with melted gruyere cheese (gruyere cheese, a Swiss cheese, it was hard yellow cheese, sweet but slightly salty). It was served with lettuce, tomato, grilled onions, homemade pickle and a side of bone marrow. The burger was huge and very flavorful. The side of bone marrow really intrigued me, it was used as the butter of the burger, but hold on guys, be careful, you might be eating a lot of cholesterol already. Watch out okay hihi.

We had a red wine, Chianti Classico - Contessa Di Radda, I cant comment much with the wine, but it was blueberry and sweet. Love it.

For dessert, we tried their Coffee Pie, it was frozen pie with coffee flavor. It was not that sweet nor bitter. I liked this coffee pie too!

My overall dining was superb! You should try it too. Date your partners here! 128525128522

The Salmon Lasagna was a bit bland for me.

It was just basically, salmon, pasta and cheese. No other seasoning of any sort. Well, it tasted like there was no other seasoning of any sort. Haha!

It wasn't bad. I was not that good either.

We liked their Caesar Salad
And Squash Flowers. I wasnt that happy with my Chorizo Pasta, something was off. The bread that came with the Pasta was good, though, really crunchy.

This was actually really good. 9786️ It wasn't that sweet, it was warm and the chocolate oozed from the inside when I cut through it. Dark chocolate, delicious! 128077128077128077

I was in El Pueblo looking for a place where I can get my talking tummy lightly stuffed and I ended at Café 1771 ordering their Handmade Ravioli. Hehe

The sauce was good but the stuffed pasta was bad. There was too much pasta for such a few filling. It was like eating pasta with red sauce and not stuffed pasta. Halos walang laman. The pasta also needed a few more minutes in boiling water. I paid a little over P400 for something that's fair to middling in quality and taste.

We went here after our client meeting at nearby Discovery Suites and I was determined to have some coffee pie which I haven't had in ages. It's a classic and very much appeals to those who prefer not-too-sweet desserts. I find their slice a bit small though. My officemates ordered Evasion, a creme mousse filled with strawberries. I thought it was ok, but soon went back to inhaling my teeny tiny coffee pie.

I've always liked their bright cheery decor. Their washroom is something else, I tell you. Very cozy and comfortable. You must visit the loo.

My partner's sister plans to have another wedding ceremony in July. We've been trying to look for a place where the reception could be. A friend suggested Cafe 1771, so we checked it out.

It is located in El Pueblo just behin McDonald's in J. Vargas near Mega Mall. Parking is not a problem. El Pueblo has their own pay parking and there is also another pay parking right across.

Cafe 1771 is a really nice place. You would want to take photos every corner. The ambiance has a bed and breakfast feel. It is homey.

We ordered more than what we can have because we want to try most of their food. We had the following:

Korean Beef: guava glazed but you can't really taste it. It's too sweet for me. But thumbs up for the beef as it melts in your mouth. 128077

Oso Buco Caldereta: it's the typical caldereta. The serving includes the bulalo part which i really love. (Heart attack)

Fetuccini Alfredo: it's too bland for me.

Vegetable Lasagna: i didn't get to taste it coz i am not a vegetable lover. 9786️ But my friend liked it so it must have been good.

Eggs Benedict Salmon: i've never tried egg's benedict with salmon before but this one is good. I didn't think salmon would go well with eggs ben instead of ham. They used organic egg, though i can't really differentiate it from the usual egg. It's organic so it must be healthy. 128521

Baked Chicken with potato chips: this is one of their best seller. You need to reserve since they only have limited orders. The chicken is flavorful even up to the inside. "Sarap to the bones", as they say.

Caramel Chocolate Mousse: to die for! This sweet ending made my visit to 1771 memorable. I am not a fan of cakes becuase most often than not i find them too sweet and it just makes me thristy. But this one, the sweetness is just right. 128536 i loved it.

Went here for brunch. It was close to my husband's office at discovery suite, so it was just convenient to eat here. I ordered the croque Madame, which is basically bread stuffed with ham, topped with melted cheese and sunny side-up egg. I requested the eggs to be medium rare, just how I liked it. Over all, I find the dish divine; I guess you can never go wrong with bread, ham, cheese, and egg combo. Yum!!!

Had breakfast at Cafe 1771 the other day. This place is soooo cute. Every corner was so picture worthy haha! I love how they filled almost every wall with bookshelves and made it look like a library. So cozy and homey.

Got the Eggs Benedict, of course. Liked how the taste wasn't too overwhelming and the fact that they used whole wheat bread. The side salad with lettuce and arugula was good too. Balanced everything out 128076

Apartment 1B's Eggs Benedict is still the best in my opinion, but I'm definitely still going back to Cafe 1771. (especially since it's so close to my office) 128522
