There are days when you just want something simple, nothing too complicated but still good. While waiting, Ony and I stayed here at Cafe Alezon. We've been here a number of times already. We love how good and affordable most of the meals, drinks, and desserts are here. My personal favorite is their pizza - thin and oh so cheesy!! 128155 The hot choco, turon and cheesecake are all pretty good, as well. 128513

But since we're not really hungry and we're just waiting we opted to try the Lumpiang Gulay (60) and Calamansi Juice (100) for our "merienda".

The Lumpiang Gulay was sulit! 60 pesos and you get 3 fried lumpiang togue. It's not the best but still good. Best enjoyed with vinegar dip. The Calamansi Juice was not made with freshly squeezed calamansi, I think they used Calamansi concentrate and just added a slice of lemon/dalandan for the "added citrus". But still this was good and very refreshing. The ice somehow made the drink not too sweet. 128517

Service was just weird and slow. The staffs doesn't look so inspired and motivated. Or maybe it was just a long tiring day for them.

BACK HERE AGAIN 128518128513

Right after (our sad) dinner at Smoking Joint, Ony and I needed something to cheer us up. And cheesecake would surely do that. We went here because I remember Cyrene C saying that the cheesecakes here are good! So we decided to give it a try. They have 3 flavors -- Mango, Triple Chocolate, and Tres Leche Something (which according to the server is their bestseller and it tastes like yema cake, so nope 128517) each at 150 pesos. We were supposed to get the Triple Chocolate Cheesecake but when I checked my previous review for Cafe Alezon, we were able to try that one na pala so we got the Mango Cheesecake, instead. 127819127856 The mango cheesecake wasn't really a cheesecake but more like a mango float or refrigerator cake. Almost like Contis' Mango Tart. 128563 Fresh mango slices, cream (or vanilla ice cream) and graham crust. It was good but we wanted cheesecake!!! 128563 We also ordered a cup of Mochaccino (Coffee+Cocoa) for 150pesos. It was okay and we liked the latte art! 128049128077🏼 but kinda pricey for just a small cup. 128518

Aside from the awesome slash good food here, they also have freshly made breads! 128513 One saturday morning while waiting, I decided to drop by here and try their spanish bread with cream cheese, priced at 15 pesos each. Served warm and toasted, their spanish bread are good and made extra special because of the cream cheese filling. This plus their oh so good hot chocolate (or their turkish coffee for coffee lovers) is a good afternoon snack or light breakfast! 128077🏼

Anthony and I have been going here for their chill and relaxed feels while having a cup of their oh soo good Hot Chocolate, Coffee, and Turon but we never really had the chance to try their food. 128566

Last saturday, I finally had the time to try it and immediately regretted why I only tried it now and why now when I'm not with Ony because it was sooo damn good!!! 128525 One of the most underrated restaurant here in BF Homes! 128076🏼 they've been around for a long time but never gained that much "attention" unlike the other popular restaurants in Aguirre. Maybe because of the location since it's hidden along Tropical Avenue and if you're not looking and paying attention, despite their big signage, you can easily miss this place. Parking's very limited, as well. But I think it's part of the satisfaction you get when you finally discovered this "hidden gem". 128521128076🏼

For our late lunch slash merienda slash early dinner we ordered the following: One order of pizza, pasta and nachos.

Nachos y Salsa (200)
Your usual nacho chips. But the salsa was good. The tomatoes were fresh and had a nice flavor. If you ask, they can give you cheese dip. And they can refill that. Just ask! The servers are all nice and very approachable! 128076🏼

We almost finished our nachos since the pasta and pizza were both taking too long to be served. After a little after 15mins, they served us the pasta. 128588🏼

Spicy Sardines Pasta (250)
I'm not sure if we're just starving but this was sooo good! Huge pieces of Spanish sardines, fresh tomatoes, and lots of parmesan cheese. It had the right level of spiciness, the pasta was al dente. 128525127837 So good I was tempted to buy a bottle of their Spanish Sardines just so we can make this at home!! 128513

And after 10-15mins, our pizza arrived..

Pizza (150)
Ohh, kaya pala matagal! 128517 HUGE Freshly baked thin crust square pizza! It's so thin you can roll it like a panizza. Too bad they don't serve this with alfa___? Haha!!! 128518128517 You have the option to divide the pizza into two flavors. They have All Meat, Margherita, Pepperoni, and Specialty (Pesto Margherita) Pizza. It's so big (16 squares!!!!), I think you can ask (nicely) if you can have all the four flavors in one so you get to try everything! 128517 We chose the All-Meat and the Specialty Pizza. When they described that the specialty pizza has pesto, we just can't help but order it. It's the "appeal and charisma" of pesto, tomato, and melted cheese that made us order it right away!! Who can say no to that? 128563128518 Their pizza is really good and tasty and amazing!! Probably one of the best pizza I have ever tried in my entire life! 128525128076🏼 For real!! 128521 if you love pizza, you have got to try this soon! Best to eat this while it's still hot to enjoy its full goodness and cheesiness. 128521

And lastly, for dessert. We had cookie shots! 50 pesos for milk, 80 for baileys/mudshake. 127850127868 There's nothing really special aside from the fact that the shot glass is made of cookie and there's chocolate inside and you pour milk (or baileys) in it. The cookie was too sweet but the milk somehow "tamed" it. I like letting the milk rest for a while so the chocolate inside melts and the cookie softens. 9786

Since I was not with Ony, we're already planning to eat here together! 128521 Heard the paella's good too. I also want to try their Spanish Bread with Cream Cheese. That would be perfect with a cup of hot cocoa! 128525

Not only do they serve good good food, desserts, and coffee but the place and feel is really homey, chill, and relaxed. Eating here feels like you're just in your own home. The servers are nice and very approachable. They just need to improve their service since we had to wait for almost 25-30mins for all our orders to be complete. It was worth it but not when you're hangry! 128566 it would be nice and so much better if everything arrived all at the same time. Also, there were TOO MANY flies. It would have been a perfect 5 but the flies ruined it! 128547128546

I love the cozy, artsy ambiance and the food! Their Pizza Margherita is to die for. We also ordered Open-Faced Tacos, Burritos and Pesto Pasta. All so good! It was a great night and the owners are on hand to greet the customers.

For the love of pesto! This pizza is for the win!!!

Pesto pizza for 500 - and 7 of us shared! (Well we ordered 2 pizzas) but it's not bad at all.

All their pizzas are worth 500.

We also tried their paella and it was also delicious! They also have cookie shots and various cheesecakes.

Love their food and the ambiance of this place. Definitely a must try.

Cozy place. A nice place you can chill. Recommend to bring your friends along or special someone. A place to talk and unwind. Food is awesome. Price is right. Will be back here to "chill" and relax.

When you just want to chill and spend some quiet time, this is the perfect place for you. The place is just small but very pretty and relaxed. You can read a book here or study or just chill. You can also actually play chess and other board games here. I'm just not sure what games are available.

Anthony and I just wanted to relax yesterday afternoon so we went here because we know there wouldn't be that much people.

Hot Cocoa was rich chocolatey and really good. It was not too bitter just the right kind of hot choco I was looking for. The turon was okay. We enjoyed dipping it in the hot cocoa. 128076

This is also one of the best tasting cheesecakes that I've ever tried in the south! My new favorite!

After trying one slice, I found myself ordering one whole to share how good it is back home.

This delicious cheesecake is best paired with a cup coffee on the side which is also one of their specialties.

The ambience is nice too. It's a good alternative to the crowded Starbucks when you want to get things done. I saw pictures of Beatles hanging on the wall and some famous personalities.

The owners were kind too and they were really hands on with their guests.

If you're near the near make sure to stop by and check this place out! 128522

This was a late review. A friend of mine had this place for a christening. When they were checking out the place they were talking to the Guy owner which was very accommodating and professional to talk to. When the day came the wife of the owner took over and did not do the things promised by her husband.

Change your attitude towards your customers and clients might come back for more.

Its not all about the food and the place but also how the owners interact with their customers.

Food wise its just so so.

We always see this cafe but never paid that much interest. But ever since I saw an ig post of their cookie shot, I immediately told Anthony that we should try this place soon. So after having lunch at Meridione, we went here.

The place was really beautiful. The door, the books, the big cups (kng di lang siya malaki, iuuwi ko siya hahaha), the wooden tables and brick wall. Everything's sooooo beautiful. 10084️ Vintage museum na parang rest house ang peg haha I don't know how to exactly explain/describe it but it was really adorable. Very chill and homey! I would love to have a house with the same interior and feel. 128525128076

The guy (probably the owner) was really nice and even helped us ordering. We ordered the turkish coffee, cookie shot and triple chocolate cheesecake. 128513

The turkish coffee was weirdly good. Strong coffee taste and aroma na may something. We can't explain the taste but it was gooooood! 9749128077

The cheesecake was big. 127856 creamy and not too sweet. It was okay but we think that it would taste better if it was refrigerated. 128522 The cookie shot was okay, as well. Nothing special.

Since there were no customers when we went there, we decided to stay and play chess. As usual, talo ako haha! We enjoyed it here and would love to comeback to try their dishes 128513128076

I got hungry on a late Tuesday night. This place caught my attention. The rustic interiors of the place plus good choice of music! That is a plus for me.

I ordered Pasta Sardines for Php200. Feeling healthy kasi Olive Oil and sardines eh. Haha.

My experience in this Café was really nice. Finding a good place to chill late at night is not easy.

When my food arrived, the pasta felt that it was taken out of the boiling water 2minutes early. Mejo matigas for my preference. The Pasta Sardines was also a bit spicy for me. I don't really have much tolerance when it comes to spicy food but this, this I will eat.

Anyway, I caught the attention of one of the attendants that night and asked if the pasta was really meant to be like that. Upon knowing that it was intended half cooked and spicy, well, I just said okay. The attendant did insist to take my plate back to the kitchen. That's another plus points for me. Initiative.

While waiting for my food, the owner came up to me to ask me what was wrong with the food. You know, to me, it is important that things like this are handled first hand by owners. I appreciate that the owner approached me. Another plus for me!

My only comment on this cafe, the dish description is not as precise. Had I known that the Pasta Sardines was spicy, I wouldn't have ordered.

Well, that's just it.

I give this place 5stars.

Oh, they were playing Chet Faker's No Diggity. Astig.

I think my friends and I found our new favorite coffee place128522 The interior design was beautiful. I loved the Mona Lisa wall art, The Beatles themed tables and books, the big cups, the brick wall and the Cafe Alezon lettering on it. I fell in love with the place, they played good music too.

We were able to talk to the owners and they were very accomodating, never too busy to have a small chat with their customers.

All in all, the food and drinks were great. In particular, the Oreo cheesecake. It was heaven in every bite128525 It was so light and the sweetness was just right.
The African tea was great too128522 It was good for sharing and they were nice to refill our tea pot since we wanted more of the tea.

Price was reasonable too128077 Coffee/tea and dessert would cost about P200+

We came here for dessert, but we will definitely come back to taste their main course dishes128523

I'm not too big on coffee, I'm quite picky.

I was craving for something sweet and sadly it was near closing time that I missed all the good eats.

They recommended the Iced Cappuccino and I was amazed at how good it was. It sure cleaned my palate of the oil and terrible taste from the dinner I had before getting to the Café.

I can honestly say I'd rather have this Cappuccino than the Iced Cafe Latte of Starbucks.

Can't wait to try their other concoctions! 128525

(It's actually Café Alezon)

I have been dying to try this place ever since it opened up and it wasn't until today that I've actually found the time to give it a go.

I had this danggit like fish with brown rice and ensalada - it was superb! I especially loved how the brown rice was cooked. I was pretty impressed at how good and satisfying this meal was. This meal also came with Iced Tea that was served in this adorable mason jar! (Where do these people buy these??? I must have one)

We were there for quite a while so we also had Nachos and Turkish coffee. The turkish coffee was really good. You could taste the strong arab coffee beans and the aroma alone could wake you up.

The place was quite homey and the decor was adorable!

I also met this really nice Baharainian who showed us how to read your future with the residue of your turkish coffee (quite educational) 128521

I had a lot of fun at this place the people are extra nice and accommodating.

If only they had more parking space... 128542
