My sister and I ordered two pasta dishes, two cupcakes (sweeeeeeet!), and two smoothies. Expect Halloween decorations if you plan to visit, obviously, during Halloween season. 127875

Our last visit to this homey red and white themed cafe has been almost a year. We usually come over for dessert which was the case tonight.

I had a Chunky Monkey Cupcake which had a chocolate cupcake base, peanut butter icing and chocolate chips. The cupcake was dry, the icing sticky and just had enough peanut butter. It wasn't overly sweet. The chocolate chips were good.

Hubby picked their best seller, the Tres Leches which was a milky sticky cake topped with whipped cream. It was good and a great alternative to Chocolate.

Lighting seemed dimmer than our previous visits. The place was practically full on this rainy night.

We'll probably be back for more desserts and if I dine there earlier i'll definitely order the Chocnut or Nutella Coffee.

1. It's located in a building owned by the family of Toni Gonzaga. So if you're a fan of hers, you may want to drop by the place and hope that she'll visit there (she does, sometimes). I love the decor of the place... Quite tasteful. Read magazines while you're sipping a cup. Free WiFi but you have to ask for a password.

2. Food is pretty much affordable (but some are a tad high to my standards). So far their pastries are just OK (some are a bit disappointing, like the Banana Nutella Cupcake), but what I like better are their beverages. Loving the Mango Tango, the Thunderbolt (with lime) and the Merry Go Round (with lemon), and also the way they are presented and served. Praises for their main course too, as they really promote healthy eating. I like their salad with calamansi vinaigrette, and the Hungarian sausage meal with veggies on the side. Their desserts just don't cut it for me (so far) but everything else is good. :)

Just 3 stars for our recent visit because the things we ordered were just ok.

Chocolate overload!!!! Items we ordered
- cake pudding (too moist)
- oreo cheesecake (not really a fan of cheesecakes)
- java man, not coffee based

Everything was sweet and chocolatey haha except for the cheesecake which was a bit sour. Gulps of water wouldn't wash them down so we ordered Nachos which did the trick.

We like the feel of the place plus its decked out in my fave color 128516

Items we have tried on previous visits
- sandwiches were ok but can't remember which
- thunderbolt juice was super refreshing. I think it had cucumbers, lemongrass and ginger
- nutting hill cupcake 128525

I like their tuna sandwich with potato chips and their bestseller oreo cheesecake cookies which is not too sweet you can really taste the cream cheese. They also have buy 1 take 1 cupcakes before closing 128077128525
