Café Congreso is a newly opened café in Malolos, Bulacan. Discovered this pastel-colored café when we were home one weekend! Yes, bes ang layo! HAHA! 128514

The place is REALLY pretty! It's well-lit and has a cozy feel. They have pink and mint green walls, pink chairs and even their La Marzocco coffee machine is in frosted mint green! 128525 Just sad that I don't have my camera with me. (Lesson learned: ALWAYS bring your caaaam!)

Let's admit it, we're now in a time where restos and their food should be worth posting in social media. Café Congreso definitely got the memo.

The bf and I weren't too hungry and just wanted a place to hangout. I was ready to order coffee when I saw that they have Horchata on the menu! 128525 Seriously, ever since I've tried this drink in LU, I've been hooked! Horchata is a Mexican drink made of ground rice, almonds, milk and cinnamon. There are many variations to this drink but the 4 main ingredients are the basic.

Ordered Horchata and a Brownie a la Mode. The horchata was okay, it's not as good as the one in LU, but it's refreshing and it cured me of my craving! And the Brownie a la Mode was… meh. Disappointing. 128532 Ang tigas ng brownie bes! Literal! Felt like mababali na yung fork kakahiwa ko sa brownie. Yung totoo? Brownie o bato? Lol. Classic example ng it looks good lang. 128531 Good thing may vanilla ice cream on top.

Oh, they also have pasta, rice meals and pastries. Plus they have a great selection of drinks from coffee, tea, milkshakes and smoothies. Maybe the next time we're in Bulacan we'll try some of their food. Hoping it's good so it can make up for the brownie na matigas pa sa puso ko. 1285149996🏻
