For Christmas eve lunch, the family decided to spend it at a nearby hotel restaurant since in the evening we will be busy preparing for Noche Buena. Christmas 2015 we dined for the last time at Jeepney Cafe of Intercontinental Manila and this year (2016) we thought of having lunch at somewhere familiar. We've dined at Cafe D'Asie numerous of times, during hotel check in, company breakfast meetings, the occassional surprise Birthday dinner. Since Bellevue Manila opened in 2004, this is the hotel our family frequents. Mom used to be a be a hotel membership cardholder too.

We did not have prior reservations for lunch so I was already expecting a huge crowd. To our surprise, when we arrived at around 11:20am there was no crowd except for a couple of large tables occupied. We were quickly ushered to our seats by the windows and asked for the a la carte menu. We seldom do buffets since the two seniors are not big eaters. We would like to commend the very personalized service of their wait staff. We ordered the follow: Hainanese Chicken with rice and soup, Pancit Bihon, Chicken Barbeque with mashed potatoes and asparagus and a philly cheesesteak sandwich.

After taking our orders we were told that the wait time would be 45 minutes. I was shocked by the length of time but the staff assigned to our table quickly explained that it was because of the huge number of orders coming from room service. But isn't it suppose to test the hotel's capacity to handle the demand. Sensing my hesitation, he was quick to pacify my flairing temper by offering complimentary soup while we wait. After taking our orders he was quick to serve 4 bowls of tomato soup with croutons. After 15 minutes have lapsed he then served a platter of seasonal fruits, again complimentary. We did not notice the time since we enjoyed the appetizers and making small talk that our orders came in before the 45 minutes time was over. Again, a long wait time but since we were given a heads up with sincere apology we did not mind at all. If we were famished then it would be a totally different story.

My Mom liked the Chicken rice and ginger soup but was disappointed with the chicken hainanese because it was dry. For a steamed chicken, they managed to overcook. Same goes with my chicken barbeque. What i wanted was baked potato to go with my chicken so i was surprised that i was served with mashed potatoes. I did not bother to have it replaced since it may take them an additional 45 minutes just to change it. We did enjoy though the pancit. Serving was so big. It was a platter of pansit. They did not scrimp on the ingredients either. It was packed with meat and very flavorful. It came with a couple of buttered toasts.

Right after, a dessert sampler was also served compliments again. It had cheesecake, a square chocolate cake, fruit tarts and a couple of cream puffs. Although the food was underwhelming. It surely was nothing short of great service. It turned what could have been a forgettable lunch into something positive. Recommended with reservation. Senior discount honored.

This place has been my solace for several years now. Keep on ordering pasta straight from the kitchen with salmon panini and salad.

The place is very cozy, perfect for afternoon tea/coffee and small group meeting.

Their cheese ensaymada is one of the best! Ever!

I always love their buffet here-both breakfast and dinner! We even got a discount for our dinner buffet because we were checked-in! We paid roughly 1k/person instead of a much higher price. The breakfast buffet it free, it comes with the room.

So one breakfast, we decided to dine at Cafe D' Asie. There is just this excitement when dining at hotels whether it is breakfast, lunch or dinner. I have always been an avid fan of Bellevue because of their great service and hospitality.

Their breakfast spread is not as vast as other hotels but it is very meaningful. The staples are always present like sinangag, egg station and bread. There are also some surprising additions like Taho!

I have missed eating Taho or awaiting Manong to pass by. Gone were the days where I can laze around and wait all day for the street vendors to pass by. Now, it is all about waking up early and going to work. Okay, enough about that.

That is why when I get the time to enjoy a luxurious brekkie, I would cherish it endlessly.

The food is delicious, the service is great. I love how consistent they are whether it is morning or night.

I would definitely be back 128076🏻

I do not know why but whenever there is a birthday or a special occasion, it become customary to go to a buffet and just pig out. Tonight was a great example. We love Cafe D' Asie's buffet spread. There are usually lots of choices from juicy steak to fresh sashimi. Although tonight, I found the buffet spread to be quite limited as opposed to our previous visits.

Service is good. Though, there is a lag when it comes to clearing the plates and refilling water but the overall service is still worth noting.

Yes, hotel buffet may be pricier than your usual Yakimix or Sambokojin choices but it is worthy to spend the extra bucks. Why?

I'll give you two reasons:

1. Cleanliness

You would not find some kid dabbing her dirty little hands on the buffet spread. The restaurant is spotless. I think this factor in itself is worth the extra hundred pesos.

2. Dining Experience

There is not an overwhelming number of diners so you do not need to battle or compete for that last piece of Tempura.

Haha.

Enough said.

Man, have we been receiving so many balikbayans! Though it's good to see them all, consuming all this food must be a crime!!! Thank goodness Bellevue doesn't boast of a very extensive buffet. But they still have steak, that can be a good thing of your cholesterol can handle it.

Service is ok, food is ok. I wish they would include the brunch like before, I prefer breakfast buffets. Mm mm sausages, eggs... Ok I'm quitting that dream.

I loved everything in here! The hotel itself is newly renovated. I enjoyed its modern vibe.

My favorite item in the dinner buffet is the steak. It was cooked medium so it is not chewy. A lot of the items were seafoods. There were salmon, shrimps, oysters cooked in different dishes. I loved the Indian section, it tastes very authentic. The desserts were splendid. The pastries sold in their lobby were there too. And my favorite, green tea-flavored ice cream is ever present in their ice cream section.

Special thanks to Shalom of Bellevue for the treat! It's true what they say "basta libre, masarap"!

A plate of bacon anyone?

Even with the morning rush, I still commend Bellevue's hospitality and service. We would often do staycations and Bellevue is our top hotel choice.

Breakfast during the weekend is a madhouse. That is to be expected especially since guests and staycationers would often flock the place during these days. Good thing that even if they have such a high influx of diners they are still able to cope.

Breakfast at Cafe D' Asie is always a pleasure. You get to indulge in different types of breakfast. Whether you stuff yourself with croissants or eat a mouthful of bacon, there is really something here for everyone.

I love the croissants and the bacon! 128055128055128055

Celebrated my birthday lunch at cafe d asie with my family last Sunday 128522
Noticed that a lot of people were checking in, maybe they still didn't have electricity in their houses.
I really love the classy interiors and spacious feel inside cafe d asie. Salad choices were great and the Japanese spread was super fresh.
Although I didn't like the carving station too much, the dessert and ice cream station made up for it 128522

Had our family Christmas lunch here yesterday. IMO, I think their spread and staff has improved considerably since we last ate here (maybe in 2012).
The salad bar had more fresh selections and dressings. The mushroom soup was also very good, maybe one of the best I've tried. As I mentioned, the staff was also very accommodating and friendly.
They has about 5 or 6 prepared dishes, an area for dimsum and Mongolian, fresh seafood which you can have cooked any way you want and a sushi bar. The carving for that day was rib eye, yay! I also ordered an iced tea which was refillable to my delight.
It was pretty good overall but Seven Corners is still my favorite :)

Hotel Buffet Breakfasts are luxurious. So many choices. Cafe D' Asie is a classic example of great buffet breakfasts.

They have a lot of choices from Crispy Stack of Bacon to subtle Muesli Cereal.

They have different juices too. It's so satiating to eat here because their breakfast choices hit the right spot.

Plus, it doesn't hurt that the servers are very attentive.

Really amazing service. Hands down!!! 9786

Loved the food. There's salad, bread, pinoy breakfast, Cheese, fruits, meat, and a lot more. There's orange, mango, and apple juice available. Coffee and hot choco as well. Bacon is cooked to perfection. There's an egg station too. Over all a great breakfast experience.
