ALPS is a bus company owned by a family in Batangas. They made a café using one of their old buses. The outside looks like a bus terminal with signs of different bus destinations. The bus itself has super comfy seats that made me and my family feel like we are riding first class. They made full use of the whole area with seats tables outside and also on the upper deck which is open-air.

It is located in the first food park in Batangas, Metro Events South Zone in Lipa City. Around it are equally cool and hip restaurants, bars and food stalls but this one has the most family-friendly ambiance for me.

Ambiance was really nice and relaxing.Couples, group of friends and families will enjoy this place. As for the service, the crew were accommodating and approachable. Serving time of food was approximately 10-15 minutes.

They serve hot and cold drinks, all day breakfast, rice meals, sandwiches, pastries and specialty pastas.

We tried the following:

127837Pan Fried Linguini with Bacon and Quail Egg (Php165) – I am a fan of bacon, egg and pasta individually and a mash-up of all these three is divine! Cheese was generously topped, too! For 165 pesos, it was such a steal since it tasted really good and had a huge serving size.

127837Caldereta Pasta (Php 165) – linguini pasta with spicy caldereta sauce and topped with cheese. It was served with butter toasts. Like the pan-fried linguine, this is also a steal.

🌭127834Grilled Hungarian Sausage (Php175) – “Hunger buster meal with grilled Hungarian sausage oozing with flavor and aroma, perfectly complemented with garlic rice, egg and baby potatoes” It was true to its claims of being a hunger buster meal! Sausage was tender and really good. The Hungarian together with egg, rice and potatoes on the side made it a fully-loaded meal. Sulit na for 175!

127835Grilled Salmon (Php 230) – “grilled tender salmon served with garlic rice and potatoes” I am allergic to almost all seafood (I know, sadlyf) and I forgot to bring my antihistamine stash so I did not try this one. My sisters said that it tasted good and the fish was flavorful.

128055Pork Steak (Php 195) – “incredibly tender pork steak prepared with CDA’s special sauce, garlic rice and potatoes” Tender and oozing with flavor. This is my personal favorite among the rice meals that we had.

🧀1278741278689749️Cheesecake latte – too cute to drink!

127827Strawberry Frappe (Php 105) – creamy and berry-licious!

127851127851127851127874Triple Chocolate Cake (Php 150) – “moist chocolate cake with dark chocolate ganache and covered in chocolate buttercream” a perfect combination of bittersweet taste with a hint of saltiness. I loved it and I honestly can’t stop myself from eating it.hihi.

127874Café de Alps Cake (Php 150) – “soft and fluffy chiffon cake flavoured with the strong Barako coffee, filled with dark chocolate mint ganache and covered in white chocolate swiss meringue buttercream.” I think this cake deserves more recognition in the city because it uses one of Batangas’ pride: Kapeng Barako. It tasted really good and mixing it with dark chocolate mint made it more divine. Two thumbs up for your signature cake, Café de Alps!

Our family really enjoyed our experience at Cafe de Alps. Every dish was delicious and we were really full after. Two thumbs up!

Cafe de Alps was inspired from a bus liner. It was a clever but cool concept to actually turned a bus into a cafe. This was located inside the food community in Metro Events Zone. This one was definitely eye catching. 128077

We visited early evening so their menu didn't last for those that I really would like to try but thank goodness their signature dish was still available.

Caldereta pasta 190 ✔
Pasta sardines 180
Tuna sandwich with chips 160

We also ordered frappes I just forgot the flavors we've tasted. Lol. Sorry for my memory laps. But it was okay though.

I was very satisfied with their caldereta pasta. Two of my favorites were combined in one special dish. I didn't even know it's possible until I tried it. Oh so delicioso! The spice was just enough and the flavorful combination was to dig another of it. Thumbs up from a pasta lover! Pasta sardines was also good. He loved it. Though it was too much oil for my preference. Haha!

The experience was worthwhile. Their AC inside was too cold. Way to go chills. Lol. Staffs were friendly and all smiles. Real bus seats were cozy and the food was good. After eating we went upstairs to see the view from the top. Very relaxing and perfect place to bond and catch up with friends and family. I still want to go back and I hope to stay a little bit more since the first time I visited, there are still people in queue waiting for their turn so we opted to leave ahead in consideration for others. Next visit given enough time, I bet l'll appreciate it even more. 128522
