Intrigued with what I read online, we went here on our second day in Davao. At an early time of around 8:30, there were groups of diners already. The assigned waitress politely guided us to our table and gave us the menu. The place is cozy with a friendly atmosphere.

Food. I opted to have carbonara. Well, I admit, it is a winner! It's so creamy, too. It's fantastic. As for my son, he also liked his order, salisbury steak.

We tried the mudslide frappe as it is one of the cafe's bestsellers. It's a two thumbs up guys! :)

Indeed, it is a recommended place.

I love all day breakfast restaurants so I tried their all day breakfast menu. I ordered the classic waffles with bacon and egg meal and a vanilla smoothie. It may seem expensive but their serving was worth the price. I'd definitely be back to try the rest of their food. I love their place with really pretty and cozy interiors.

A must-visit cafe in Davao. Lovely place to dine with family and friends.

I love their Banoffee, Tablea cake and Snickers cake.

I usally order hot caramel macchiato to go with my cake.

You can also have a sumptuous meal---they serve all day breakfast, salads, pizzas, sandwiches, pastas and a lot more.

Hefty serving. Affordable food and drinks. Beautiful and fun interior design. Plus staff are accomodating.

You can ask their servers to take a picture of you and your group and you'd hear the waiter say "show your best smile" before pressing the shutter button---another reason for making your Cafe Demitasse experience an unforgettable one.

Note: They also have several function rooms for small and big groups.

Feeling kinda sick so I just ordered their pumpkin soup. It was served in a big bowl and I liked it at first, but as soon as I reach 1/3 of the bowl, I got quite disgusted and realized it was quite salty and too tasty. This is a big bowl for me and I felt like it was impossible to finish it by myself. I left it more than half full.

I'm not so sure, it it because maybe I was sick? Well, other people with me are also shocked by how big it is. Maybe this is a to share sized serving? :)

We had a christmas party in one of their function rooms. Food was so so serving size for 2 pax or 1 hungry person. Their service cannot handle the huge number of people and parties happening at the same time. They have about 4 function rooms upstairs. We ordered Osso bucco, summer vinaigrette salad, pasta, hawaiian, 4 cheese, pepperoni pizza, salpicao, fish and chips and a whole lot more that I cannot remember128522

I am quite curious about this place that my friends in Davao always telling me to give it a try when I'll visit Davao again. So now that I'm here, here I go and my burning taste buds of curiosity...

When you enter the place, the staff will immediately greet you. They're so friendly. They will make you feel that you're home.

I love the cozy ambiance and the interior design of the place. I just think that they need to maximize their place especially the second floor.

I ordered their pesto and lemon iced tea. I was surprised when I saw the lemon iced tea served in a big glass. That was cute! For the pesto, on my opinion it's too safe for me. I want to add more pepper and salt to have somewhat a distinct taste. 128539

Overall, the food for turns out good but there's something in here that people always talks about and that really made me more curious. My experience was good and I'm sure that I will be back here for more.

"Move over, Banapple. Café Demitasse's banoffee pie trumps your banoffee pie!"

That's what my cousin says so anyway. He has tasted Banapple's version and Café Demitasse's version, and says that the latter wins.

I cannot personally attest to that statement above, but I trust my cousin's tastebuds. He has lived and worked in Manila for practically half of his life, has gone to both fancy places and hole-in-the-wall places, and most importantly, has discerning tastebuds (like mine). 128521

We went here for dessert after having celebrating my aunt's birthday at Ahfat.

Upon entering, we were warmly greeted by their crew. Their smiles were literally from ear to ear. And I couldn't help but smile back as well. 128513

The café itself is unassuming, but charming in its own way. The interiors were cute but classy, with the mismatched furniture, the al fresco mural, and the dainty pastel walls.

Oh, and their WiFi is fast. 128522

We settled down at the second floor. A server immediately assisted us and handed us their menu. She was bubbly and always smiling, and she was also very knowledgeable about their menu. Two thumbs up for you, girl. 128077128077

• Banoffee Pie
"Davao's bananas are the best. That's why our banoffee pie is good!"
That's what the server said when she brought us our banoffee pies. Not being biased but, I have to agree with her!

Bananas, cream, chocolate, and toffee... This was a symphony in my mouth. When working with fruits in desserts, some ingredients usually overpower the fruit. But with this, I love how all the elements didn't compete with each other; instead, they complemented each other. The crust was a bit too thick for my liking though. Still, this was a lovely dessert. 10084

• Pecan Turtle Pie
LOVE at first bite. 10084 I still can't forget about it. It was very rich and decadent without being heavy. The mousse was fine and smooth. The pecans gave that nice little crunch and contrast to the texture. And the sweetness was just right; it wasn't cloying at all.

• Red Velvet Cake
Not really a big fan of red velvet cake, but this one was ok. Though the cake wasn't as moist as I wanted it to be, it wasn't dry either. The cream cheese/buttercream and the cashew bits went really well with the cake. Not too thick, and not too sweet.

• Apple Pie
I've tasted apple pies and apple crisps from many places, and I've even made some myself, so I'm quite familiar with the styles of apple pies. Cafe Demitasse's is of the American style, which does not use a lot of spices or flavoring. Just crisp and tangy apples baked in a rich, buttery crust. Not as rich as the Dutch style, but still equally good.

Oh, and the servings were all HUGE. Definitely good for sharing, and definitely worth your money.

By the way, Café Demitasse offers not only the usual coffee and desserts, but they also have meals for all times of the day. 128522

I cannot wait to go back.

From outside, Cafe Demitasse seems like just a small cafe that offers just okay food and drinks.

Once you enter inside though, you'll be captivated by the friendly staff and inviting interiors. They offer a variety of dishes, from appetizers to entrees and desserts.

The food is good, especially the desserts. It's sweet but packed with flavor. And with every bite, you taste all the flavors you expect. Like with their banoffee pie, with every bite, you taste the banana, the caramel, cream and crust all at the same time. I like that the sweetness doesn't turn you off and you take bite after bite of it.

And with main dishes, you've got a lot to choose from, depending on your mood. They've got rice dishes, sandwiches and pasta available. Their drinks are really, really good, too!

They also have a second floor with two function rooms. The interiors are really pretty and creative.

The only drawback really are the lack of parking and the ground floor dining area. Only street parking is available and the ground floor dining area is too cramped.

But other than that, it's worth coming back to, again and again.
