Some place to chill, "have a moment", "write something", "reminisce"... The service has to be faster, though. But love the location. And the scene.

This is a very late review 128517 anyway, I liked how simple and tasty their desserts are and they're pretty cheap too 128513 we got the carrot cake and blueberry cheesecake.

When we went, the place was undergoing renovations but that didn't stop us from eating here 128514 I wanted to try their baked macaroni or lasagna haha but was already too full during that time. Maybe I'll get to try it next time when we visit the area. 128516

Good place to have dessert if you're in the area or just passing through on the way to/from La Union. 9786

The cakes are a little sweet and the slices are somewhat small, but taste wonderful. Pictured are the carrot cake (which has some carrot bits) and the blueberry cheesecake (which doesn't have too much gelatin).

Try the halo-halo which is their specialty.

Cafe Esperanza had been in La Union for many years now. Last valentines they had a promo of buffet for only 399. My wife and I went there. For the price food was surprisingly good, they could have easily charged 500 above for the buffet.

Menu for Vday was:

Appetizer: Chips w/ sour cream dip, curried tuna empanaditas, mixed garlic nuts, ham and cheese quiche

Main course: beef mechado, holiday stuffed meatloaf, chicken cacciatore, fillet of fish w/ tartar sauce, buttered vegetable medley, pasta aglio & olio, spanish chirizo paella.

There was even a bread basket, salad bar and dessert bar.

The food is great as well as the service!
