Ambiance is relaxing.. went here for a quick chill time..got their caramel machiatto which i find a bit sweet.. also got their blueberry cheesecake, hubby thought the cheesecake was good but i found it not satisfying..not a cheesecake expert but the texture and consistency of the cake was a bit disappointing for me.. 3 little pigs sandwich im giving it a 4 because of the value for money but i can definitely make one on my own, nothing special.. i will still come back to this place to experience their pasta and their best seller frappes..

Their modern-rustic industrial theme is worth a shot for your Instagram feed. They have several food options which are offered at reasonable prices. My sister and I ordered Spaghetti Meatballs, Creamy Carbonara (bestseller!), Choco Ala Mode Waffle, Cookie Crush Frappe, and Strawberry Milkshake. Free WiFi and TV are also available so you're not gonna get bored during your stay.

It was last weekend when my brother, sisters and I decided to get away from Marikina and do some food trip in Antipolo as it's just one ride away from us.

With its continuous development when it comes to must eat at restaurants to must visit museums to must check-out spas and a whole lot more, Antipolo is one city that has been visited and frequented by many because of its nice places and establishments.

My favorites from this city were Cafe Lupe which is really a nice hang-out, chill place for barkadas where there's often a live band performing for its guests. Leonardo's is another one with its very cheap yet OK KTV bar which I last visited almost 3 years ago with my college friends.

I've also liked Eggs For Breakfast, the hidden gem that offers yummy food in a really calm and relaxing setting.

It took me a while to finally want to try and explore another talked about coffee shop at the center which was Cafe Esse. My first time was with my brother and this time, we're both excited to have our sisters try their food.

The coffee shop is not that big but its interiors were welcoming, inviting and relaxing, few reasons why a lot of people frequent the place as per my observation.

Their menu offers the usual coffee shops items including hot and cold drinks, snacks like sandwiches and burgers, different types of pastas, some cakes and waffles for desserts.

As I wasn't that hungry, I ordered a waffle and the only available that time was the Chocolate Waffle a la Mode.

Breakfast food at any time of the day can never go wrong. And as I am a self confessed crazy sweet tooth, this waffle is really good even if you eat it, again and again.

The soft, good smelling waffles were really tasty and made even more delicious when served hot. The chocolate syrup and vanilla ice cream on top of it made all the flavors come so well together, making you go gaga over it.

My sisters enjoyed their pasta and sandwiches while my brother devoured his milkshake happily. As I was already full with my waffle, wasn't able to try their orders but I guarantee you that their servings were really huge and good for sharing.

Located beside Tiolo's, Cafe Esse is a coffee shop that you should check out when you find yourself in the city of Antipolo. It won't disappoint, I am sure!

Antipolo is becoming another city that offers a lot of good food, drinks and delicacies to its guests. Despite being far away from the main, a lot of people frequent the place because they have loads to offer.

It was after a long while when we decided to go upwards and explore the place more. When I ate for the first time at Tiolo's, I saw that beside it, another building carries an interesting looking cafe at its second floor --- Cafe Esse.

It looked a bit small at first look but once you're inside the cafe, you'll find yourself seated comfortably, ready to go with your cravings.

Their menu mostly offers comfort American and Italian foods including pastas, sandwiches, burgers, shakes and desserts that's actually good for snack time.

We ordered their Creamy Carbonara, Three Little Pigs Sandwich, Choco Waffle Ala Mode and Green Tea Macchiato. Not hungry, right?

All of the servings were huge enough to be shared by 2 people so if you wanna try most of what they have, order different items in the group because I swear, you can have all for sharing.

The carbonara was really filling and fulling. Its white sauce went well with the bacon strips placed on top of it as filling. The garlic toasts on the sides were a good pair to it too.

The sandwich was overwhelming too. The bacon strips were crunchy and cooked really nice. What made this one even better are the potato chips served on the side with some good mayo dip.

OK, who goes wrong with waffles? No one! Imagine your usual waffle made even more sinful by some chocolate syrup and ice cream because its that good yes! Could you say no to this? No! Never ever.

The macchiato is always so good. Perfect way to end a very filling and fulling day. I liked its aftertaste that removed all the other tastes that I had that day.

Surely, Cafe Esse is a new gem that you must try to check out soon!

Visited just tonight. Our first time. All of us 5 who ordered their frappe (diff. flavors) have the same impression: MATABANG. WALANG LASA.

Felt like, are they really offering coffees?! Super failed. :((

Tried their seafood pasta and... got really disappointed. 128546 nothing to rave about. And the frappe? Ughhh. Forgot the taste. Read lots of good reviews regarding their sandwiches and waffles. Will definitely visit this agaìn and try them. Every cafe's deserve a second chance. Hihi

I've always thought of trying this place for coffee and m for studying but never did since my boyfriend is a big Starbucks person.

So finally last night, we did as I was cramming my graduate school papers due this Sunday.

I have to say that as always, I am hesitant to try coffee or any beverage from anywhere aside from the place where I'm used too for I had really bad experiences in the past - coffee tasting like medicine, whipped cream tasting like marshmallow cream - which in my opinion, does NOT complement coffee.

But staff were kind enough to explain some of the drinks I've asked for (too much work to be done with me, I know). Boiled down to choosing their Vanilla Macchiato and double chocolate cake.

The cake was AMAZING. Perfect balance of chocolatey goodness, sweetness, and fudge. It wasn't that rich enough for you to feel "dairy overload" or umay.

The macchiato was perfect. It wasn't too sweet, but you will most definitely taste the vanilla in it. For foodie pinoys, it is certainly a big deal for us to know and taste that the food isn't tipid on ingredients - and this drink sure was never close to tipid. I love it. Ftw.

One downer though is that their chairs/stools were not comfy enough. But overall, the coffee, pastry, staff were great.

PS. This is an EDITED version. Didn't notice there were grammar issues. Lol.

I enjoy trying cafes that aren't mainstream. I like restaurants that are unique to the area.

On the table
Three Little Pigs - a best seller according to the server. Quite a mouthful and messy to eat. Hubby loved this. I didn't like the ham though and the sauces were on the sweet side. Wouldn't mind crisper bacon. Potato chips were addicting and i think made of real potatoes.
Spaghetti Meatballs - hefty meatballs that tasted pretty ok. Hubby liked his pasta dish.
Tossed Fries - who doesn't love fries!!!
Choco Peanut Butter Cake - super good. They used chocnut too!

If we go back, i would get the Potato Chips and the Choco Peanut Butter Cake and try their waffles. Their drinks sound interesting too.

*the place is on the second floor accessible via stairs. Bring an umbrella if it is raining.
**love the colorful mugs and plates
