My older sister treated me with desserts and this was the right place. She suggested I should try Toyohashi Pudding. It's leche flan in a cup. It was light and not too sweet except for the caramel sauce at the bottom. Yum! 128513128523

I honestly think I liked this better than Pablo's but then I was with my classy AF sister Em D when I tried this.

Me taking a bite: Ah! Parang mas masarap kesa sa Pablo! Ok yung crust.
Em: ....
Me: Ayaw mo?
Em: Lasang Fita na may cheese.

I couldn't untaste it after she pointed it out. So I think I will have to give this another try without thinking it's fita with cheese 128514

+1 star because I like their Hanjuku cheese. 9786

Last week, I decided to drop by Kumori since I had to do some errands near the area. It was on the same day we decided to try out Pablo, so, even before deciding to try that out, I actually had my cheese tart fix already.

Anyway... I've been hearing and reading a lot of positive comments about Kumori’s cheese tarts recently, on social media mostly. It was surprising for me since I did not really like their cheese tarts when they launched. I have forgotten how it was exactly but it was not good enough for me to try it again. I remember wondering before why the cheese filling of the tart was not the same as the cheese on their Hanjuku Cheese.

Now, the moment of truth. I must say, Kumori’s cheese tarts have greatly improved. Drastically, extremely, significantly. I was even more surprised that all the raves I’ve heard and read are very much valid! The cheese filling was good and the crust was crumbly in a good way, albeit a little too sweet.

Among Kumori, Pablo, and Lava, I still can’t say which one is the best. If Pablo can improve or maintain consistency on their crust, I’m referring to their mini cheese tart here, then for me it would be tied with Kumori. Lava, on the other hand, has good cheese flavor and good crust too. Lava’s cheeses are mostly from local sources so the taste may be slightly different from the two. So again, I really can’t tell which one is the best. And just like in the battle of smartphones (i.e. iOS vs Android), it all just comes down to personal preference.

I reserved a good for 2 on their cafe to avail a discount. I got a confirmation! But when I went there, they said that they didnt receive the reservation and so, I couldt avail the discount. They suggested to reserve again online.

I sent a reservation and I got a response that I have an existing reservation and so my reservation could not push through. I decided to cancel my previous reservation, and reserved again. Finally, I got a reservation but what a hassle!

Anyway, Kumori has always been my favorite because of their apple bun and cheese tart! :) Today, I tried their Choco Hazelnut Milkshake. It was okay, too sweet for me. Very instagrammable tho. But it's hard to drink because of the stuff on top of it. Yeah, I liked it that way! 128077🏻

I also got an apple crumble! I loved its sweetened apple at the bottom but then again, it's too sweet for me. So, don't forget to drink water afterwards.

But I loved the third photo (I forgot the name!). 128149

Never a fan of sweets so it's a normal review for dessert store. Lol. But for sweet lovers out there, you will definitely enjoy this!

melon pan is my new fave 128149
i see it all the time in anime and i wonder why are anime characters always happily munching melon pan? well upon tasting it on my own, turns out that it's soft and just the right amount of sweet with a subtle melon flavor and i loved it right away at first bite ♡ idk about other melon pans out there but i definitely loved kumori's

I am always on the look-out for new places not only because of the new food to try but It has become a habit of mine to do my school works somewhere else. Maybe because I have the tendency to just sleep at home. So when I first read about Kumori at spot.ph, I immediately made a mental note about it.

Cafe Kumori is a small and cozy nook tucked in the ground floor of the mall. It has bright yellow interiors that simply screams "Welcome!". There are only few seats available which can be occupied by less than 10 people at the same time. But that is not really a problem since most of their customers do not really stay and dine, most of them just buy their pastries and go.

The word "kumori" means "cloudy" in Japanese and yet, we all have to encounter a Kumori product that won't send us to cloud nine.

As you enter the cafe, their cheerful waitresses will greet you and immediately assist you on their shelves. It is self-service but they will willingly answer your queries and assist you in any way they can. On the side of the cafe is their shelves full of different bread and pastries. You'll surely have a hard time choosing one. As for me, I made sure to get their famous cheese tarts and a matcha bun (since I am a matcha addict). You can then proceed to pay at the counter - it's either you take those pastries home or dine in. I ordered an additional hazelnut milkshake and of course, their product that makes true the "cloudy" in "kumori" - their Hanjuku cheesecake. It is simply their consistent best-seller. I won't tell you why. Go and see for yourself.

I stayed for almost two hours and luckily, I was able to finish my homeworks for that day. It can get a little noisy because of the other people dining at the restaurants nearby. But all in all, Kumori Cafe was a good experience. I will definitely come back, wanting for more.

Been hearing good reviews of this new japanese bakery opened recently in SM North. I saw this but opted to go inside coz its always full, I only have an hour break for a day's duty and I feel it is not eniugh for me to choose what will I try.

I really reserved this day just to visit this place. It's Tuesday 2:30pm not yet peak time but 4 tables were occupied, line is building up. There are so many cute pastries displayed and they all looks so good. I had Oreo Choco-Bo and Dark Choco-Bo for my son, their Signature Cheese Tarts and Choco Hazelnut Milk Shake.

I love the tart, its cheesy and di nakakaumay, the bread is freshly baked while the milk shake is too sweet for me but its delicious. I love the pretzels and the bun in it, they blend well. Let's not forget the presentation is instagram worthy.

For the Choco-Bo Php30, Cheese Tart Php60 and Choco Hazelnut Php 190.

I heard that the Hanjuku Cheese and Chocolate are also good, we'll definitely go back to try these goodies.

Visited Cafe Kumori last month, and went back to have more of their Signature Cheese Tarts! Gawsh! I wouldn't mind spending my one week allowance for these heavenly made pastries! Every bite is worth the price! 128546128546128546 I even took home a box of 6 just for myself! 128518

Also tried their Choco Hazelnut Milkshake which was so so creamy and delicious! Plus see how instagram-worthy it is that I didn't want to drink it at all! I also had fun thinking which of the garnishes I should eat first. Should I go for the cream first or the pretzel knots? I just totally had fun with it that I also didn't mind licking the nutella spread surrounding the top of the glass! 128539128539128539

Ugh. I hate that they have a branch near me because I'm always tempted to drop by! 128514128514128514 Anyway, I'm curious to know how their Matcha Milkshake taste like so that should be next on my list. With Cheese Tarts of courzzzze! 128521128521128521

Very accessible for North peeps like me. The melonpan was good. Matcha milkshake was worth the price. The Hanjuku Cheesecake WAS THE BEST - the texture and how it melts in your mouth.. Sign me up!

Yakitate Japan used to be my favorite anime, and this cafe will give you exactly the same ~*feels.

oh yes.. that is indeed an instagram worthy matcha pic! hahahah!!!
iced vs hot matcha.. here it goes, taste wise.. go for the hot matcha green tea latte, but my eyes did went for that cute mug.. so i had matcha milkshake, 128513
( we also had 'kadawari cream bun' --4th pic, the egg custard/cream were good; also we tried their 'krone' --3rd pic, it was flaky and the filling was so sweet, i like it! the dark choco bo is good too) they serve a wide array of teas! 9749️ which i think is a good combination for the sweet pastries,
will try those tea next time! 128077🏻
