Marikina is up and rising on restaurant boom. Cafe Lidia is a bit hard to find and surprisingly a large restaurant that can sit more than a 100 customers at a time.

Restaurant offers a wide range of American, European, Filipino mostly. We had Italian as we were there for the afternoon. They have a lot of entree dishes as well.

Our pasta picks were not the usual ones. We had the Black Ink and Enrique. The former was disappointing. On top of making your mouth stained, it didn’t merit anything else. No taste. The latter, Enrique was flavorful. It’s the best one we had in this trip.

The Barbecue Pizza was simply cheese, veggies and chicken barbecue on top. I asked myself why it was that simple. Bothersome.

Desserts were aplenty for 5 of us. 1st was Chocolate Paradise. Nothing here is paradise. 2nd cake was Cotton Caramel Cheesecake. It was more like crumbling cheese with no ingenuity.

We also had two ice cream picks which can most likely guess what’s in it. Third party ice cream with third party fruit and chocolate from somewhere else. They put it together for you. It doesn’t count.

Celebrating our anniversary as BF/GF last July 26 at our all time favorite Cafe in Marikina, Cafe Lidia at Calderon St. Marikina

Instead ordering my favorite carbonara here which is really good, I tried their beef salpicao for a change. Then we had their Cafe Lidia House Special PizZa, 127829 very colorful and loved the thin crust. For deserts we ordered different slices of cakes and one of their special cakes and my hubby's favorite , the marshmallow cake. Price varies on flavors. 110-140 pesos.

Their molten lava cake is good here by the way.

They have parking slots don't worry and a lots of seats and a function room for occasions .

Had the Porterhouse Steak and Dark Mocha Sanzrival. Also tried some of their pizza, mozarella sticks, buffallo wings, and spaghetti gamberi.

Food Taste 5/5

The meat itself wasn't the best I've had but if I take everything like price into consideration it was not bad at all. I like my steaks medium rare abd they got the doneness of my steak. I totally was expecting them not to but it was such a great surprise that they did. The meat also was relatively tender which made it great. The only thing I'd improve is that some of the tendons was a bit tough to chew but again given price it was still pretty ok. The pizza, sticks, wings, and spaghetti were pretty good too.

Value for Money 5/5

Definitely great value of money here. Dishes aceeqge at about 300/dish altho the steak was at 500. Still I'f say it was worty it given the taste and servings.

Service 5/5

This had to be the best service I've had in a while. The food came out super quickly. Afterwards it left me wondering how the food came out so quickly and still taste good. We also were not the only people there so kudos definitely to the staff. Another thing I like is the waiters pretty much make sure that they remain visible at all times. So if you need something it's easy to get. They also make sure to checkin from time to time to see if your order and side requests are complete. Again great work guys!

Ambiance 5/5

The place has a very homey feel to it. Kinda like that familiar tito's place where you get together to eat once in a while. Nice and cool too so definitely a plus in the hot philippine weather.

Overall 5/5

If you want a nice comfortable place where you can eat great food then you should definitely try this place. From what we've tried everything was pretty good and there were still a few more things I'd like to try. Even if I live pretty far from this place I will most likely come back to try out other items on their extensive menu.

went here on a weekend. good thing my friends were early enough for our group to have a good table. the place was packed during lunch due to early father's day celeb. the place was great. ambiance is top notch even the washroom is clean. 128077 I was an hour late so my friend ordered already when I arrived. and since I was too hungry and tired due to traffic and one hell of an uber ride, I asked for the menu and ordered right away.

pasta alfredo - cream sauce with mushroom and bacon bits.
the food was great. serving was more than enough for me. it was flavorful and the mushrooms are legit. not the canned ones.

iced choco - one word to describe. " yummy"! ( with the coco martin accent) hahahha. it didn't disappoint.

so after the kwentuhan and eating we decided to end it with dessert.

blueberry cheesecake - the usual cheesecake nothing really special. it was yummy though. dont get me wrong. but there's no omph! factor.

overall, the experience was great. will definitely be back.. =)

Caffe Mocha by Cafe Lidia: YEY
Price: Php110

Today we went to Antipolo to have Pepito (my car) blessed. Just had a hearty meal with the family at Cafe Lidia and a dessert of sweets and stories are currently on the table. I'm going for the coffee, instead. Let's take it easy with the reviews today, shall we? Take it from Snoopy.

Cafe Lidia is one of the top rated restaurants in Marikina for a reason - they have fantastic homey food and great service!

I was fortunate enough to try many of their dishes in one night, but my favourites are: callos, four cheese pizza, steak, spicy tuna pasta, and the kit-kat sundae. Everything was well made and reasonable priced.

This place should definitely be on your to-eat-at list!

This is our favorite place and we'll always come back (and order the same things? Lol)

The place looks like one of those ancestralhouse-turned-restaurant. Veerrry cozy (which my husband loves!).

We visit Cafe Lidia on weekdays, always get on the waitlist but still get seated immediately. Hehe. The staff is very accommodating and always ready to give your needs. It rained that night. Their parking is on the other side. We're very pleased that the guard has a huge umbrella and he took us to our car. They actually have two of that HUGE UMBRELLA. Mind you, simple things like that satisfies us, customers.

Of course, I won't left out the quality and affordability of the food. We had all these with just 500 pesos. We ordered:

Buffalo Wings
Pasta in Creamy Mushroom Sauce
Mashed Potato
Blueberry Cheesecake Slic *melts in my mouth!! Soo good!!

I'm giving every single dish a 5* rating. 128522

On the way to Masungi, the group wanted to have brunch before we got there because our scheduled slot was at 1PM. We arrived at Cafe Lidia at around 10AM and we were probably the first customers for the day.

I rarely end up in Marikina because it's so far! 128514 But I am aware of the unique food finds here in the area.

The place is quite huge. It's an Italian place and it has this homey vibe to it. They also have a small garden inside on the way to the restrooms.

Their menu has so much variety!! It was so hard to choose! I wasn't in the mood for something too heavy or too complicated so I just ordered the Penne Amatriciana. It was okay, nothing really special about it.

Maybe we should have gone for the pizza. 128517

Seafood rice. Yummy dish that will fill your tummy at a reasonable price. I wish they had more of the seafood topping though. Bigger and more shrimps, squid, and fish.

They say it's good for one. I say two people can share and then get a pizza for dessert. 128514

Eid'l Fitr lunch date with hubby yesterday at Cafe Lidia.

Went here for a brunch, it is located at 64 F. Calderon St. Calumpang Marikina. Our all time favorite cafe in Marikina. We've been here many times already.

They have a very big space for their parking and no worries coz someone will usher you also. Glad that there was not much yet people when we came.

I got my favorite carbonara , it's one of the best carbonara I've tasted, similar to my home made cooking recipes, very creamy. Hubby had his Aglio Olio. For pizza we got their best seller House Special Pizza for only 250 pesos only, this colorful thin crust was so good and crispy. It has pepperoni, ham, bacon, mushroom, onion, bell pepper and onion. And of course there will always be room for dessert. Hubby's favorite cake was there, the marshmallow cake, for around 85 pesos only.

Craving satisfied and service was fast. They accept credit cards and they have wifi also

The best cafe in Marikina and one of our family favorite cafe known for their delicious food, affordable price and good service.

Went here last April 28 with my family for a Thursday lunch. Hubby didn't go to work so we decided to have our family lunch here.

My usual order is carbonara and pizza and this time I tried the porkchetta. It's like Cebu Lechon belly, so crispy. But my favorite part was dessert. All of them ordered my favorite Choco lava, but I decided to try something new, got the mud pie ice cream and it was so good. I love ice cream 127848128076

Cafe Lidia has been one of the most raved and talked about restaurants found in Marikina City since last year. With its visitors who keep on coming back, the place has been known by loads of people, frequenting it even if it's nestled inside a small street.

We visited Cafe Lidia one weekday night as we wanted to try something out of the usual dinner meals. As it was just a few steps away from our house, we walked going there.

As always, the place was almost full even on a weekday. But hush, no worries, with the place having 2 wide and spacious floors, you would certainly get seats for you and your squad.

Upon entering, you'll see how well ventilated the place is. The mixture of couches, round and wooden tables with chairs give that feel that the restaurant is actually open for any group sizes. There's always room for you inside Cafe Lidia.

Their menu has a lot to offer so you wouldn't run out of choices. From breakfast meals, to different pastas and pizzas, to heavy entrees and cakes and shakes for desserts, they almost have it all for you.

We ordered their Clubhouse Paradise with Fries and a slice of Chocolate Paradise paired with a specialty drink, Cafe Lidia's Black Forest Crush. All good yes!

The Clubhouse sandwich was surprisingly big! Per serving, it can actually feed 2 people already. The bread was fresh and a bit toasted, I liked that. The fillings included ham, egg, cheese and veggies plus the mayo sauce that tasted well. The fries, as always, comforted and matched well with the sandwich.

The desserts that we got were some sort of chocolate overload. The cake was good, moist enough to make me like it and the chocolate was rich and legit. I liked the drink too as it was really the shake version of Black Forest. The taste of the cherry gave it some different delicious taste.

As always, this cafe restaurant has always new things to offer. Find time to check it out and enjoy what they got!

After we attended a mass last night at the Our Lady Of Abandoned, we went straight at 64 Calderon St. Calumpang Marikina. Our favorite cafe in Marikina, Cafe Lidia.

We've been here many times and will always keep you coming back for their good food. They have a parking space and glad that there will always someone to assist you. Then before we enter , staff asked how many are we then they set up the table first before letting us in. Set up was so fast and were in.

We order the following :

128204 Buffalo wings - (180) My daughter Adelheid L ordered this. The chicken was spicy and has a ranch dip that was perfectly when paired to chicken, chicken has a generous serving. Then she had plain rice for only 20 pesos .

128204 Shrimp Pasta Ala Enrique (205) hubby is tired on eating pesto so he tried this one, it's an oil based pasta too, if you loved seafood you'll like it also and it's healthy, serving was generous .

Carbonara - (160) this is my all time favorite here! My son Latrell Joshua L had this too. The carbonara was so creamy and serving was generous, paired with garlic bread too. A must try here .

For desserts , we had the following :

128204 blueberry cheesecake -120
128204Choco marshmallow -170
128204Choco lava - my first time to try it. I was surprised that they offer this already, it was last piece actually, I'm a fan of Choco lava, will make you drool 128523 it was a bomb!

Craving satisfied and total bill is only 1,1100. Serving time was fast. Will never get tired coming back at this place
