As Thomas Carlyle said, "No pressure, no diamonds". Or in this case, No sardines pasta. Hey Ruth S, it worked! Haha

Funny how my girlfriend called me a man of habit today when I said that we eat at Mary Grace. I wasn't much of a man of habit today since I ordered something I've never ordered before: spanish sardines and olives pasta. I found the dish really tasty, a great recommendation. 128522 there was a right balance of sardines and olives to not overpower the pasta and be too flavorful. I just missed putting a lot of cheese on my pasta. Remember the rule of thumb (which i just learned today): if the pasta did not come with cheese on it, it most probably does not need cheese. Might be wrong but hey i followed it. Put some chili flakes instead. The flakes provided enough kick to add a different dimension to the dish. Loved it. :)

That's it for now. And can i just say, i was setting this dish up for failure. My last meal before dinner was breakfast and I was borderline hangry. So given that the dish satisfied me, that's huge! :) take care everyone!

Mary Grace has single handedly built her empire entirely on ensaymada and excellent customer service. Deeply rooted in faith (evident in her daily team prayers before restaurant operation starts) and a tight knit family like team, it easily translates with their interaction with each client.

The meatball spaghetti's serving is generous easily good enough for two light eaters or can fill up one heavy eater. The vigan longganisa is perfectly crisp and the eggs can be whipped up to your liking.

It is not hard to love this restaurant with its warm and inviting interiors, delicious food and top notch service. This is an easy 5/5 as far as i am concerned.

Take home a box of cheese rolls or ensaymada while your at it. It is money well spent.

For comfort food in SM BF, we run to Mary Grace. Glad that it has been consistently good after we had one not so pleasing visit & though my grilled ensaymada was short on the grilling it was still highly enjoyable.

The pasta is good enough to share and I did enjoy the spanish sardines with generous amount of olives. The vigan is a bit off but the tapa is ftw! 128523

I usually go to Mary Grace for lunch to have a quick break from work. This time though, i went there for dinner to reward myself for a tough day. Since i had a heavy merienda, i decided to go with one of their salads. Smoked ham with almonds, cranberries & balsamic vinaigrette. I wanted to try something new so i looked at the prices and got the option with the median price among the salad choices. My girlfriend got the fried kesong puti & calamansi vinaigrette.

I liked my salad but i prefer what my girlfriend got. Hers had the better mix of ingredients. I particularly liked the fried kesong puti whose taste was slightly offset and balanced by the tomatoes. We asked for extra calamansi vinaigrette because it was so good. My selection was fine though with fresh raw materials. Just a watchout though, the cranberries are all at the bottom so you may need to do quite a bit of tossing. I found the balsamic vinaigrette to be a bit overpowering. I wasn't able to finish my serving, i might have found it too tangy.

This visit showcased once again Mary Grace's commitment to service. They apparently set up customer feedback boxes for customers to give a view of their server's performance. You may look at my 2nd photo for reference.

That's it for now. Stay mahusay everyone!

A gift. Haha. Buti na lang! Because it's mahal. This cheese roll is delicious tho! Parang enseymada na may lamang keso. Haha. And the cheese inside is not small (masabi lang may laman). The entire length of the bread has cheese filling.

First time to eat here and this is what my sister chose. Honestly, there's nothing really special about this pasta. Without lifting my own chair, I can easily cook this at home. So I suggest that Mary Grace, please make tour selections more special to justify the prices. Mas masarap pa ang toasted pandesal na side dish nito.

Went here last Wednesday to close hump day. I was not really hungry, so instead of ordering a meal each, my girlfriend and I decided to just split a pizza. I felt that an order of pasta would be too much. Also, pizza is much easier to request for take out to eat later on.

Every time we order pizza, we get the Chorizo and Basil one which is priced slightly higher than their other pizzas. First bite, i figured that they changed their chorizoooooo. But still very good. :) Pizza looks huge, but i find it quite a light meal. Maybe because of the dough and the amount of dough they use. Great taste and quantity. :)

Just a random thought: In all my experiences with Mary Grace, i have always been very impressed with their service. Their servers are very polite and accommodating. Another thing i appreciate in their service is the temporary receipt which allows me to check if they got my order right immediately. It saves a lot of time as well, in payment and stuff. Good poka-yoke. They give out these texts with the temporary receipts saying "Thank you for helping us totally delight you with flawless service!". Flawless service indeed.

Anyway, that's it. Take care everyone. Stay mahusay!

Always been a fan of Mary Grace, but i just want to share how pleased i am with the service of this particular branch. That's it.

Food has always been good. Tomato and Herb or Cream Dory pasta are my go to orders. Never failed to make my tummy happy. :)

Today our company gave us a budget to celebrate with our team the simple joy of Christmas. The tagline was Paskong Pagsaluhan. They encourage us to have a snack and preferrably a filipino snacks. We were thinking of different filipino snacks like pansit, puto dinuguan, kakanin, bibingka and other filipino snacks. But the team decided to have an ensaymada of cafe mary grace.
Ensaymada is originally brought by the spaniards here in the Philippines. But for the love of filipino for sweets this made into one of the common meryenda of filipinos. Our version of ensaymada have evolved a lot from the simple panaderia buterred ans sugar. Now more common ensaymada in the market are the one with grated cheese and shape is also quite differ to the one in the panaderia. Ensaymada was also one of the Christmas tradition that I can remeber when ensaymada is topped with queso de bola and drink with a hot tsokolate.
The combination of hot choco and ensaymada is what made us thought of Cafe Mary Grace. Perfect for the theme and Christmas season. Cafe Mary Grace is one of the best ensaymada in the market and their tsokolate are really good. The homey feel and Christmas feel is the exact feeling we are having in celebrating this PaskongPagsaluhan.128518128076

So we've all been fans of the famous mary grace cheese roll and ensaymada but little did I know the huge difference it made when you have it dine-in! The grilled ensaymada is just pillow soft, super cheesy and creamy! They do add more cheese and has different variants also. A true perfect match for their hot chocolate. As for the strawberry shortcake, I think it has a sophisticated taste compared to other commercialized strawberry shortcake. It's got the flavor and good chiffon so we really enjoyed that too. As for the french toast, it was how it should be but with no extra factor. So mainly it'd just good :) I think it's great how I managed to be surprised by this cafe even if we consider this as one of "the usual" places to head to when we can't think of any other establishments.🤗128512

Last night turned out to be a fun catch up night with my ex officemate at Cafe Mary Grace. We actually did not have a choice because besides starbucks, it was the only restaurant open 'coz it was already past mall hours.

The servers greeted us still with enthusiasm, and attended to us patiently. Ordered Prawn Salad with Mango Papaya Vinaigerette, Mary Grace Mushroom Cream Pasta and a slice of cheesecake. All of them tasted perfectly good. The salad had fresh ingredients - mango and papaya were not overripe, and the greens were crisp and crunchy. The pasta had a lot of mushroom bits, which I really enjoyed. The cheesecake's so good that i did not notice that i have finished it in no time.

Honestly the first time I heard of the place from my mom, I was a bit skeptical of I would even enjoy the food. Most Filipino cuisine restaurants tend to disappoint since am pinoy. Usually am under the impression most can be cooked and eaten at home.

It was a wonderful surprise and delight when I gave it a fair shot. Ever since then it became one of my favorite restaurant, where me and my mom would eat and bond. Have wanted to write a review about it for awhile now, but waited when we ate their again to give it a good review.

Ambience is a good as always. It has a rustic feel at home vibe as you dine, then what I really love is the personal touch of the owner to the decorations. Even as a customer you can add your own touch, by writing notes about your dining experience.

I ordered the Volge which was pasta with clams and olive oil. It was really good, not to mention with the recommendation of Luigie (which I must say is one of the best managers their) it turned perfect. For the soup the squash is really tasty and went well with the pasta I got. Then to top it all off, I had apple pie with whip cream for dessert.

If you ever drop by don't forget to look for Luigie, food is good ambience is prefect. But with the kind of service this guy provides not to mention his recommendations when it comes to food. No doubt, he will make your dining experience an unforgettable one.

Ordered Smoked Salmon and Cream pasta, Spanish Sardines pasta, and their Grilled Ensaymada.

I always order their Smoked Salmon and Cream everytime I eat at Cafe Mary Grace. It's not "nakakaumay" unlike other cream based pastas and I think it's really filling.

I was able to try their Spanish Sardines since Mary Rose L can't finish it. So flavorful and also filling. One of the best spanish sardines pastas I ever tried.

Lastly, their Grilled Ensaymada. It's ensaymada but toasted. Nothing really special but it was good. Best to end or start your meal.
