After dinner at melt, had coffee and dessert at Mary grace at the 4/F of uptown mall. Since there was a nice breeze, we decided to stay outside 128522 I got my usual grilled ensaymada and I tried their iced mocha with one espresso shot. You can get two but it was already pretty late and I wanted to sleep 128513 hubby got a slice of the tiramisu and my friend got the strawberry shortcake 127856
Service was good and the food was good as well. We were there quite late and I appreciate that even though they were about to close, they didn't make a show of it like turning off the lights etc 128522
Bathroom was also nice and complete 128077🏼

I can't deny that Mary Grace has a special place in my palate. Their comfort food consumes me everytime. Every plate has its distinct flavor that would make you crave and visit them again. Home of famous Pasta, sandwiches and pastries. Oops dont forget their ensaymada that is truly outstanding, you can have it as is or have it grilled so the cheese is gooey and melting YUM!!!

I like what i saw on their wall today "PEOPLE WHO LOVE TO EAT ARE ALWAYS THE BEST PEOPLE" 128060128060128060. Haha got to eat more 🤓

Homey resto anyone?

Mary Grace has always been my go to lunch places.
They serve fresh and always delectably good meals.

Today I ordered the Vigan Longanisa and kesong puti sandwich. This comes with tomatoes and lettuce, with a side of chips. I also ordered a side of MushroomSoup (you have an option to order a full/regular sized soup). The soup was creamy and filling on its own. The sammich gave me my fix and will fuel me until the end of work day (another 6 hours).

The price was somewhere in the Php 400+/- .

Their ensaymada is good as well, try it toasted! And though I have not tried it, they champion their cheese rolls too.

They have good brewed coffee, though I usually get that when I have time to sit down. It costs Php 90 for what is the equivalent of a short coffee in starbucks.

After the niece's school program last week, we headed to Uptown Mall for lunch. I was not surprised that Mom and Lola chose Cafe Mary Grace over the other restaurants. They really like the food and the overall feel of the place.

I wasn't able to try all of their orders so I'll just run down what I had and what I took a bite of.
🔹Cassava Chips with Onion Dip - not something I would order on my own but this was surprisingly delicious. The Onion Dip was addicting. It tasted like sour cream and onion, something I would love to have with junk food. The kids loved the Cassava Chips. I liked them too but after holding each chip I wiped off the oil on a napkin.
🔹Sirloin Beef Tapa with Scrambled Eggs - a hearty portion of a favorite breakfast dish which I could eat any time of the day. The tapa was good and I loved dipping it in the spicy vinegar. The Rosemary Fried Rice was great. We loved the flavor and the crunchy bits. Even the Pickled Mangoes and Tomato Wansoy Salsa were wiped out.
🔹Classic Carbonara - the kids shared an order and when they couldn't finish their food I asked to taste it. It was creamy and you could really feel the bacon. The grated queso de bola was like icing on a cake. I even ate teaspoonfuls of just the cheese. The 4 year old followed suit.
🔹Chicken Inasal - it tasted ok but I've had better
🔹Chocolate Mousse - rich and dense. I felt like I was eating ice cream or a ref cake.
🔹Strawberry Shortcake - soft chiffon with fresh strawberries. I don't like fruits but this was really good.
🔹Tiramisu - delicious and not too sweet.

Other items on the table
🔹Seafood Chowder
🔹Smoked Ham with Almonds, Cranberries and Balsamic Vinaigrette
🔹Vigan Longganisa
🔹Pork Tocino
🔹Chicken Inasal Sandwich with Tomato & Wansoy Salsa plus Balsamic Side Salad and Mushroom Soup
🔹Chocolate Truffle - an old favorite that the kids shared
🔹Mango Bene - looked impressive

It was a very filling and satisfying meal in a homey place. I really love the colorful plates and the serving containers. I also love how each dessert tastes and looks different from each other. I'm pretty sure we'll be back soon enough.

Had dessert here last weekend. Place was bigger than most Mary Grace outlets I've been to so seating wasn't a problem 128522 ordered my usual hot chocolate + grilled ensaymada combination while my friends got the tiramisu and mango bene.
Food was served quickly however I noticed that service isn't as warm or personal compared to the ones here in the south? I dunno, it seems that the service was 'normal' as opposed to the very attentive service I'm accustomed to at southmall. Anyways maybe kse gabi na pagod na sila or what.
Yun Lang naman but food was good and place was clean.

I like and will highly recommend the Spanish sardines & olives pasta and fresh tomato and herb pasta. Don't forget their Sansrival that will complete your dinner/lunch. Their Mediterranean interior and ambiance is very nice and never disappoints me everytime i visit any branch. 4 stars. Gusto kita.11088110881108811088
