My family and I had a VERY relaxing after-dinner drinks at Taal Vista's Cafe Veranda, when we had a staycation in said hotel. The ambiance was so cozy--not crowded, soft seats, dim lights.

I ordered Sangria, my dad and brother ordered tea, while my mom ordered coffee.

Service was superb. The staff was very corteous and warm, and our drinks were served quickly. The only slight letdown was my Sangria, which was too sweet and tasted like a mocktail. Our drinks were also relatively cheap for a hotel price, especially the tea--TWG tea, good for 2-3 large cups.

The highlight of the night was the live, background music/accompaniment (saxophone, piano) that made my dad almost jump up and down in delight 128513 Everything contributed to the perfect setting for a soothing night.

Overall, I love this place!10084️ Highly recommended 128077🏼

Oops ! On my previous post showing the breakfast buffet, that was supposed to be for the other restaurant Cafe Veranda.

Cafe By The Ridge is just a super calming place to have tea and relax. In the evening there are some performances too. My favorite time to be here is late afternoon, watching families relax on the lawn.

This would have been 5 stars but the desserts are always hit and miss. I loved this sugar free cheesecake but there was one time we ordered the red velvet cake and napoleones which were both dry. Good thing they changed the cakes in our last visit. Two diabetics in our family loved this sugar free dessert and hope they can offer more sugar free items.

Service here also tends to be slow....it seems like there is bigger ratio of tables vs the staff.

The menu has improved in our last visit, offering more selections. But hopefully they can improve their cake selections as well.

Still, it's one of the best places in the hotel and gives you a reason to get out of your room :)

My favorite breakfast buffet, the picture shows my first pass. I start with the fruits and work my way to the tapa then tocino, and end with bacon. My orange pineapple mix comes next before I go round 2.

Round 2 could be the champorado or the Belgian waffle. Or bacon. Ha3x. Add another juice mix to that ...

The selections are always good but it's always the bacon that makes the experience worthwhile. :)

Service is ok, sometimes the servers forget when the place is jam packed (Chrismas. New Year). But then, there's always the view of Taal Lake which just calms you down.

Our family will always come back here. Congratulations on the hotel's 75 years !

Taal vista hotel. Romantic place for romantic people. Add the sunset to the view of the volcano and you will fall in love over and over again with the person you're with.

Cafe on the ridge, located in Tagaytay inside the beautiful Taal Vista Hotel. Me and my hubby spent our 7th wedding anniversary here and it was very romantic. Great selection of delicious dishes, all you can eat while watching a cultural show, the spectacular view of the Taal Volcano, all for 700 Philippine pesos per person. I highly recommend this place.

It was the night before my wife's birthday. We decided to have dessert here at the lobby lounge area after we had dinner at the resto.

They serve TWG tea and their cakes are so delicious. I forgot the name of the chocolate cake on the photo but I know it was so good.

What I really love here is that they have very talented performers serenading the night -- a singer, a pianist, and a violinist. And since it was Magnolia B's birthday, they granted my request to sing for her.

It was a memorable and lovely night. We will definitely go back to this place.

I completely forgot that I still have pending review when we stayed at Taal Vista Hotel. 128517

You can never go wrong with Taal Vista Hotel. Why? Everything you need is there. Stunning view of the Taal, Huge and well equipped room, wifi everywhere, a balcony with a view of Taal, swimming pool where you can swim with their iced cold water (yes, it's really refreshing)! So when me and boyfie stayed in Taal Vista, a complimentary buffet at Cafe on the Ridge restaurant is included.

Compared to other breakfast buffet we've had, this is the least impressive. The food selection were limited. Around 5 viands if I'm not mistaken, together with breads, spreads, fruits, juices, etc. Taste wise, it's just OK.

Before we checked out the next day, we tried their Blueberry Cheesecake and Fried Halo Halo (in the photo). Twas a nightmare. The cheesecake were dry and hard, while the fried halo halo is a like turon as per boyfriend. The wrapper is really thick, and the filling inside is like beans and langka only? Bad move128557 If I have to rate those two, i'll give it 2 stars. 128560
