Decided to head here after lunch and before our movie because I read somewhere that their affogato belongs to the top ten list of best affogatos in town! I couldn't find the espresso affogato on the menu, but I did immediately see a hot cocoa version! 128513 I didn't know this was a thing seriously. I thought only Linguinj Fini offered such thing.

Anyway, I decided to have the hot cocoa affogato instead for P230. I patiently waited as I was the last served in our group. The arrangement was very cute and they had the hot choco in a baby kettle, plus 2 scoops of vanilla gelato in a mason jar! 128525 It was very exciting to slowly pour the chocolate. There was so much!!! I think it's meant for sharing cause it came with 2 straws and a spoon.

It was good, but not great. I was expecting the chocolate to be a little sweeter. It was more on the chocolatey-bitter side, which made me think that it's the same chocolate they use as dip for the churros.

I wouldn't order it again, because I've tasted better. But it's worth the experience. 128076

Was able to order the Ronin's 4 Cheese and the Robert Brownie Jr. and both ice cream flavors were good and prices of ice cream are not hard on the pocket here.

Love the ambiance... The quaint design concept... The attention to details it's like a well loved European street cafe or bed & breakfast with knick knocks of travel momentos covering every space of the cafe. the board games readily for guests to use & the gigantic chess set I wanna bring home... Get to hv some fun & bonding time among us

Ice Nutella (150)... Comes in a nice mug was typical

Red velvet gelato (165) was loaded with chunks of really velvety cakes I enjoyed

This place was one of the only ones that were open at past 9 so we had dinner here after our movie.

We ordered truffle pasta, which was just okay. I've had better truffle pasta.

I ordered gelato for dessert and it was delicious! I got the mint chocolate and dark chocolate flavors. Publico is one of those places where you can get two flavors in one cup without extra charge. Plus one star for that!

Service was also good. I'll go back here for the gelato.

Had coffee here to pass the time while waiting for our movie screening time. Their iced coffee concoctions were ok. They also have gelatos. Will try their food next time.

First time ever to enter promenade 2. Lol. Obviously I'm not a mall person. I was happily surprised to see so many cute (as in small, hole in the wall in size but not in looks) places in the cinema/mall.

Cafe Publico is on the second floor beside the entrance to the cinemas. The place is tiny and cozy, with murals of an old European street scene in the dining area and comic book pages on the walls of the kitchen area. I met a friend there for merienda/dessertfest.

First up, a cup of dark chocolate and peanut butter gelato. I was pleasantly surprised to find something this rich and creamy outside of morelli's. Hehehe. The dark chocolate was not too sweet and the peanut butter flavor went well with it. This was eaten up quickly.

As the hours went by, I ordered a hot chocolate and my friend got a chocolate or mocha sans rival. The hot chocolate is one of the better ones I've tried in the city. Again not too sweet and you can taste the chocolate. The marshmallows were a nice nostalgic touch. I liked this waaaay better than the Wildflour hot chocolate and the Starbucks hot chocolate.

The mocha sans rival was good as well. The layers of meringue were flaky and not soggy. The chocolate or mocha butter cream was the rice amount. I would order this again.

I didn't notice the chess table mentioned in the other reviews. Was this at the old place?

I left the place feeling like I could have developed diabetes in an afternoon. But the yummy desserts and good company would have made it worthwhile.

I'm a bit bummed that my favorite gelato place of all time moved from their lovely, quaint location to a hole in the wall next to the movie house but the taste and diversity of the flavors still pack a punch. I was in the mood for two unique flavors that I can only get here but Sophia Loren and Ballpark Taffy weren't available! So I had to turn to the ever dependable Dirty Mint for a quick gelato fix.

last friday, I was pretty bored in the house and figured to eat something cool since it was still hot that time. I asked |ooloo for a little help and thy gave me even an add on, saw that cafe publico was on the specials that offering a free upsize on the gelato so I hurried to promenade but got upset that their staff told me that they still have the mechanics for it. boooo!

I was so frustrated but still my cravings for an ice cream needed to be satisfied so I got one cup for 160 pesos with a choice of three flavors in one. Got the crema publico, which was a bit bland, tasted milky but needed a little dash of sugar or just a few more nuts. Also got the red velvet, there was a very generous portion of the velvet cake but it needed a little of mascarpone or cream cheese. lastly I had the choco chip cookie dough which I loved, the cream base was just right and there was a goo blow of sweetness coming from the choco cookies.

I also added the star cookie displayed on top of the ice cream show case, sad that they should just be giving one per order just like how bono is with their waffles. although the stars were tasteless, just giving excitement with the ice cream because of the crunch. A bit annoying that it was served to me dripping with ice cream without any napkins on it, they need more training.

This bunch of coolness in a cup costs 180 pesos, too pricey.
I just wish the special worked for me to give an extra star. After all, it was an offer that should be easily claimed as soon as it was posted.

Dirty Mint will always be my favorite! :) love their new spot in the new Promenade as well. Hours went by quickly without us noticing, their board games were such a hit to us. This will always be our go-to place if we're looking for a great time! :)

My boyfriend and I went here one afternoon for lunch. We ordered Spinach and Cheese Dip as our appetizer, and the Three-cheese beef lasagna for the pasta, and Chicken Salpicao as our main course. We really loved the Spinach and Cheese dip! It was a perfect way to open our meal! I'd recommend that you try their gelatos. They taste amazing! We ordered three flavors of gelato for dessert: Chocnut, Speculoos, and Dark Chocolate. The taste of each flavor was so spot on!

Aside from their food, the staff was very friendly and the ambiance was great. The cafe was also well-decorated. Anyone would love the interior of the place! They also offer a number of board games and card games you could play with while waiting for your food or while you're eating. It was a lovely dining experience!
