Cafe Seolhwa Bingsu

When i met a friend in Nuvali, She invited me for a level up Halo-Halo or Bingsu (The Right Name). Bingsu or Patbingsu is a Korean shaved ice (Super Soft) dessert with sweet toppings such as chopped fruit, condensed milk, fruit syrup, and Azuki beans. The snack is highly popular in Korea. The food originally began as ice shavings with red bean paste. This made a big change in my preference for Halo-Halo.

It was a sunny afternoon when we decided to taste this so called "BingSu" a korean dessert at Cafe SeolHwa but when we get to the place, it was already raining hard but still continue so we ordered 3 of their flavors and we are much satisfied with the taste specially their Mango CheeseCake, the ice was so fine but I was saddened since their strawberry was unavailable during that time.

Overall, it was a little bit expensive as their 1 order of bingsu cost 300+ but it can be shared up to 3 persons 🤗 so worth the money 128516128077🏻

We had a mini-foodtour at Solenad and tried the Bingsu craze. So we ordered this brownie bingsu (forgot the actual name, sorry 128542) and I was expecting it to be really, really sweet. Surprisingly, the sweetness was just right and not overwhelming. I even find it addicting to dig into this brownie goodness. This bingsu is even better than the one I've tried in Korea!

Got the Mango Cheescake Bingsu as this was one of the popular dessert that I see on the internet and what the others in the cafe were trying. It was fine, the mangoes they used were very sour.

If you're planning to take picture of it, you have to think of a good shot before you get your bingsu since the ice is shaved and will melt easily. 128516

Loved this! The ultimate bingsu among bingsus. 128514 The shaved ice with milk is so fine (in both sense of the word). When it melts, it turns into a creamy texture (like ice cream!), unlike others that turns watery and runny. The mangoes were sweet, and the serving is big, too - the single serving is actually good for 2 already.

4 stars only because our original choice - the matcha, and strawberry flavors were not available! :( Then we saw the other table with strawberry huhu! Whyyyyy 128514

Can I give more than 5 star? This shaved ice cream is FTW!!!
I ordered Mango Cheesecake Bingsu and I can't find enough words to describe, but really this is heaven. The cheesecake, not that sweet, ang sarap!!! The ice, its shaved so obviously it will melt in your mouth, but the taste sheeeeet ang sarap promise!!!
The place is too small though, few tables and they have a huge crowd so they should consider rearranging their tables to accomodate the crowd.

Babalikan ulit kita!!!

It's been so long since I had made a review!

Anyways, during my birthday I decided to treat myself and my parents to this place. I told them that it will be a new experience for all of us since it's the first time we will be trying bingsu and since it was really hot that day, I feel this is one way to definitely beat the heat that time. I have been craving for bingsu ever since I checked the reviews here regarding this place. And one particular bingsu that was stuck on my mind and really wanting to try would be their Mango Cheese Bingsu coz you cant say no to Mango and Cheese if they are together.

So what's in the Mango Cheese Bingsu:
✅ Sliced Mangoes (of course)
✅ Sliced Cheesecake (surprised by this and thought it was cheese)
✅ Milk Shaved Ice
✅ Vanilla Ice Cream
✅ Mango Syrup
✅ Crushed Nuts

I was really blown away. Melt in your mouth bingsu. 128155128155128155 The sweet and bit sour taste of the mango compliments the finely shaved ice and ice cream. The cheesecake was just right right and also goes well with the mango syrup and the crushed nuts. This is definitely one way to beat the scorching heat and not to mention its really refreshing which was also my parent's comment on trying out their own bingsu. For a single size (Php 240), it's definitely enough for a person or even two. But for me the size is just right despite the price. I also checked their other food in display and their toasts and cakes look good. I will definitely come back here to discover more of their delicacies. 128523

We ordered the milk brownie bing su (sorry, I don't remember the exact name but it's the only one that has brownies on it). Price for the regular is around Php260, and Php360 for large/to share. It was good, although I was a little disappointed when we got our order cos it was different from what I read on their menu. Maybe because they lack manpower earlier, as they probably didn't expect many customers today. But the staff and owner were nice, especially the owner. I'd definitely go back to try their berry cheese & mango cheese since they looked delicious.

No dokboki for today 128542 so we had mango cheese bing su instead. 128523128523128523 my picture doesn't justify its taste. I'm so sorry. This is just a one time shot because I really can't wait to dig in. Lol. 128514

We came in for the dessert of course (most of the reviews are about the Bing Su's). But this one is a must try (buti na lang we tried it)! I forgot its name (because I'm having problems spelling and pronouncing it,, dok boki, tokpoki, toppoki, douk poki - whatever, LOL), but you can always take screen cap of this post and show it when you order (this is without noodles). Also, don't forget to mention your preferred spicy-level (in case they forget to ask), mine is only low. Hahaha.

Note: You should ask them to serve this first before your Bing Su. That combo will be awesome! Trust me. And hey, you're welcome. 128523🤓🙃

A great alternative to ice cream or halo-halo. 127847

I originally want to order the berry bingsu but it was not available that time so I tried the choco brownie bingsu instead.

Milk shaved ice with brownie chunks, almonds, choco cereals, nuts, choco powder and topped with chocolate ice cream. Yummy!!

Ordered the large size which is good for 3-4 persons which is priced at 360. A bit expensive but if you'll divide the price among 4 people, then I think it is justifiable. 128513

This was good and my mom and brother enjoyed it. As for me, l'm not a big fan of choco flavored food so I still prefer the mango cheese bingsu.

We had our clinic’s anniversary lunch at Nuvali and our boss asked me to suggest a place where we can have dessert. I opened looloo app and searched for dessert places. I have tried Café Seolhwa before in Alabang and I loved it. So I was so happy when I saw that there is a branch in the area and recommended it to my colleagues right away.
We ordered large bing sus for sharing (Mango Cheese Bing Su, Berry Cheese Bing Su, Pat Bing Su) and white toblerone cheesecake. The ice of bing su was so smooth that I felt like I was eating ice cream. They have generous servings!! I think the single serving is also enough for 2 persons and their large servings are for 3 or more persons. But I was able to finish a single order by myself last time128514 )

Mango Cheese Bing Su (Php 340 – large, Php 240 - single) –This is what I ordered last time and suggested it to them because it is good and it is their best seller. It has mangoes that are sweet, nuts, and cheesecake bits that have “just-right” taste.

Pat Bing Su (Php 260 –large, Php 190 - single) – This is a must-try for my fellow red bean lovers!! It is topped with a generous serving of sweet red bean, grain powder, cashew nuts and chewy rice cake (mochi) bits. Ahhh!! Heaven!!

Brownie Choco Bing Su (Php 360 – large, Php 180 - single) – Chocolate overload!! However, the base is still milk snow. We thought that the ice was also chocolate flavored at the bottom. Very photogenic like all the other bing sus! ) It has brownie bits, chocolate ice cream, choco syrup, some cornflakes and powder that looked like cruhed graham. We loved it too!

Berry Cheese Bing Su (Php 360 – Large, Php 260 - single) – I loved it!!! It has a yogurt-y taste along with the berries. It is topped with sweet cheese berry whip, cheesecake bits, sweet and sour sauce that gave the yogurt-like taste and different berries.

White Toblerone Cheesecake – love at first bite!! I like their cheese cake slices more than the cheese cake bits on the bing su because this has stronger cheesyyy flavor. I still love the cake bits on the bing su though. I gues that it was made less flavorful to complement the other toppings.

Service and ambiance were both commendable. I loved everything that we ordered 128077🏻128513. I will come back (or maybe go to other branches) to try other bing sus and cakes! So excited!

It's been a while since I last posted here. and yay!! I'm finally back with all my backlogs since Christmas season 128514128513

Anyway, Cafe Seolhwa is finally open in Solenad and of course I will not let it pass.

I actually had a hard time choosing a flavor and ended up asking the staff what their best-seller is. The staff was kind enough to explain to us each flavor.

So I tried their best-seller Mango cheese.... and it was soooo good! The ice was so smooth you'll think its ice cream. The mango was sweet with a hint of sour. The cheesecake bits were not overpowering and complements the mango. The serving is big. We ordered solo but it was already good for 2.

I honestly did not expect it to be so good because I thought it was just an ordinary shaved ice dessert.

-1 11088️ because I requested it to have no nuts (hubby is allergic to nuts), but it was still served with nuts.. err

Nonetheless, I will definitely be back to try on their other flavors. 128525

I waited so many nights just to try you, and you did not disappoint. You so goooood brownie bingsu, even better than the bingsu I tried in Korea.

My cousins also tried their drinks:
127827 Strawberry Smoothies
9749️ Mocha Chino
127855 Caramel Café Mocha

All tasted okay. But for the drinks, I'd still head to CBTL or SB any time of the day or next time maybe I should try their Matcha Latte (I'm sucker for matcha)

CAFE SEOLHWA WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN ALL MY LIFE. I've been seeing their bingsus all over Instagram - especially their injeolmi bingsu, so that's what I got. And wow. This was heaven at first spoonful. Their shaved ice was super smooth and creamy, and the toppings were amazing. Injeolmi has soybean powder, slivers of almond, cashews, mochi, and whatever other awesome stuff they put in there. It was a great introduction to their dessert line.

My dad also got their mocha latte and it was also very yummy. Their coffee's strong, in a good way of course.

Knocked a few points off because it looks like they still have to iron out a few kinks, but other than that it's the ideal place to satisfy your sweet tooth and stay cool at the same time.

Oh by the way, they're located on the ground floor where they have the cinemas. Kinda hard to find specific places here in Solenad 3!
