Dessert for today is Ferrero Hazelnut in Cafe Shibuya.

Consists of two pieces of Ferrero Rocher chocolates on a bed of Nutella and diced peanuts. Chocolatey heaven. 128055128061 Prices is — Baby 225 and Regular 275. A must try. 10084

MonDATE with my partner after a failed meeting. 9786

Fish Florentine - taste was a lil bland for me. too much breading for the dory. But I liked the sauce with mushrooms.9786

Chicken Parmigiana w/ Pesto Pasta - parmigiana sauce and chicken compliments. cheese was oozing!

Iced Kyoto matcha latte - yeah! I love matcha! I liked their latte! 128525

Mango Caramel Toast - we ordered the regular size good for 2 and it was just enough for us.

Nothing really special for this food stop but food quality was great.
A bit pricey but still ok.
Service was nice as well.
Location is 128078 .. it was just a kiosk like area.. They need a cooler to keep the area cool..

Cafe Shibuya is okay for me - neither something I crave nor hate. I had the chance to try their coffee and cakes at their Katipunan branch before but this time, I had dinner here with friends.

Fish and chips - okay but a bit too fried and oily for me. Dip is good.
Summer Garden Pasta with Fish Fillet - this one's better than the fish and chips but it's also nothing special.

Late post...

Whenever I stroll at Glorietta and pass by Cafe Shibuya I would slow down128694🏻 (I usually walk fast..) and observe what the folks are eating..

And last Wednesday, I finally had the time and excuse to try this cafe.

I had an impromptu meet up with a friend and suggested we just grab a drink as both of us are still full. Starbucks or CBTL was a default meet up but somehow I manage to suggest that we try Cafe Shibuya.

I arrived a few minutes early upon finding a spot (as the place is small) I thought someone would have seen me and had me over a menu..however it took roughly around 10 minutes before a sever handed me a menu...

Menu looks nice (its layout is like a newspaper) that it made me curious given the kitchen is small (you can see the food prep as it is just separated by a glass) yet the variety of the menu is alot! And my curious tastebuds would want to try them all however I was full at the time so it took me sometime before I can figure out what I want.

My friend arrived and got a latter. As for me, I finally decided to get the Pink Passion and a Three Cheese Pizza127829 Toast!

Orders were quick. Our drinks arrived and followed by the 127829 Toast! However, service was kinda 128034 as it took as again about 10mins again before we got noticed.

The 3🧀 Pizza Toast was big and looks 128523 (not the perfect shot but from the image it seems 128076🏼! Unfortunately, looks can be deceiving 128533. The bread is soft and moist however the idea of eating a 3🧀 pizza toast is 128528. Per menu it has mozzarella, cheddar, and parmesan however the pizza sauce overpowered the flavor. What you can taste from each bite is the tanginess of the tomato-based sauce and the saltiness of the cheese is M.I.A. 128529
As the menu said, its a 127829toast, however it gave me a feeling of eating soft bread with tomato sauce and topped with cheese. Again..the "toast" component with the bread is M.I.A. For this dish, serving portion was good however the taste was not just there... Overall, it's just a 11088️ for me.

Though my first visit was a not-so good experience, I would still want to try the other dishes. Hopefully, i will enjoy my next visit. 128513 For this visit, it's just 1108811088️ for me...

Just a 128221, location of Cafe Shibuya (Glorietta branch) is just along side the mall. If you are after a quiet and intimate dining experience this is not the place to be...

We've only gone here for merienda and the toasts. With my always hungry son in tow, we decided to try their lunch menu and avail of the | special.

Here's what we ordered:

127826Crispy Pork Belly with Kimchi Rice / 295
127775127775127775127775127775
Deep fried, crispy pork with spicy kimchi rice was so good I ordered another one to-go to bring home to the H. That kimchi gave the rice that spicy-sour kick that went so well with the pork. We mixed the fried egg and shredded nori onto the rice for that umami experience. The order is big enough to share. It comes with a whole lot of rice. I could only eat 1/2 of this.

127826Carbonara / 430 for sharing
Had too much liquid, too watery, not creamy at all. This was my son's order. He can finish 2 orders from Mary Grace so we decided to get the family size. He ditched this for my pork belly and we had this wrapped.

127826Three cheese pizza toast / 195
Tastes like pizza. Really. On toast.

127826Original Shibuya Honey Toast / 145
Simple toasted bread was a nice ending to our rich pork belly meal.

127826Mango Strawberry Cooler / 135
Refreshing, we received this complimentary drink via the | special!

For this visit a minimum of 1000 pesos would give us a free smoothie. I was first denied of the special because I was told it ended already. I showed the app and had to wait for 30 minutes and 2 follow ups before finally getting approval from the manager who was there since I got there. I was ready to give this place 1 star if they didn't give us the special as our bill was almost double the required minimum.

It gets warm here in the afternoons. I wish they were in their own air-conditioned restaurant and not just a kiosk along the hallway.

Overall we loved our food. Haven't gone back though as we rarely go to Glorietta now because of Aura. Sana they open a branch in BGC, we'd order the pork belly in a heartbeat.

First time here. I just ordered mango-coconut frappe with pearl. Mejo masikip ang tables, mejo close to other diners. They do serve pasta and dessert-toasts. It's a Japanese-Parisienne themed cafe. My single order took a bit to be served considering na ang konti lang ng tao dito now. I guess since cramped yung prep area nila, mejo may inefficiency siguro. The servers were attentive naman. I liked my drink. The mango used was fresh (not puree) and you can really taste the coconut flavor. Might come back for the dessert-toast next time.

Ferrero Hazelnut Toast. Ferrero Rocher chocolates with Nutella and peanuts.

While the metro was rejoicing about how great Cafe Shibuya was, all I could do was look at the photos as I didn’t want to take the trip to UP just for this. It eventually opened in Glorietta but the small, kiosk-like space did not appeal to me.

In need of shaking off the terrible lunch in Santouka, we headed to Shibuya for some happy food. I got a little excited to try the coveted toast. In my mind it would be a fluffy french toast Japanese style. Or could it be a chiffon-style pastry that’s soft in the middle and crusty on the outside? I almost laughed when I cut into it. It’s literally bread toast! Wahahaha. A thick slab of lightly buttered toast with your choice of toppings. How come nobody ever wrote about this? Talk about a pretty picture.

I went on an afternoon and I found the place to be a bit warm. They had a portable a/c though which they faced towards us and that helped cool our area.

Did I like it? Well yeah, enough to life my spirits. But I’ll probably be back for something else. I’m sure I can make this at home.

They have Ghirardelli drinks there you might want to try. If you love Ghirardelli brownies, DM me on Twitter and I’ll tell you how to get their bake-at-home brownies at a fraction of the price.

Finally got the chance to try their Matcha Strawberry Toast. We were full from dinner but passed by Cafe Shibuya and gave it another shot. Been trying twice already but they were out of strawberries on both occasions.

I got the baby sized one and added a Dark Chocolate Latte with a shot of Espresso. The toast was pretty good though something was lacking. It was soft inside but had a shell that allowed it to hold a scoop of ice cream. Served warm, maybe would be best if they drizzled it with some honey. Loved how the strawberry slices meddled with the Matcha Ice Cream but they could have used more or maybe could have used thicker slices instead. The Matcha ice cream used was not the best I've had though it delivered in terms of matcha kick. The whipped cream on the side was a good addition.

Then my cup of coffee. They used Gihrardelli as the chocolate so when it was served, it smelled so good. No fail if you'll ask me about the chocolatey taste. It wasn't too sweet but it had a rich chocolate goodness in it but then the coffee kick was overpowered. Maybe they should use a stronger blend.

Loved the overall experience though serving was a bit slow. Wondering though if the dishes they serve are good. Will try on my next visit.

I've been wanting to try Cafe Shibuya for the longest time already and I'm glad I finally had the chance to try it!

I ordered the Chocolate and Strawberry Toast and I'm happy because their strawberry was surprisingly sweet. I also ordered their Mango Strawberry with pearls. Their pearls were disappointing but yeah, next time I'll just order their chocolate drinks instead of that.

I haven't had any bad comments about Cafe Shibuya. Every time we eat here it is such a pleasure especially their toasts.

We had the Shibuya benedict and mango caramel. The shibuya benedict was good. I was carefully examining the menu especially the savory toast. I am not used to savory toasts just like the ones in crepes. I find them more suitable for dessert. The ingredients were plenty. The sauce too was good. Clearly a pleasant dish even as presented. The side chips tho was a little thick. And I suggest to have more flavor in it.

The mango caramel was good too. Very generous with the vanilla ice cream and toppings. What really is a favorite is their toast. Very chewy which is a good one. 128513128077🏻

The service was fair. I love their menu. It's like newspaper. Pictures are enticing. Staff were friendly. Tho tables were few. It's just a small place. But definitely one of the favorites.

Banoffee Dessert Toast was good. The toast was topped with banana slices, dulce de leche, graham crumbs, whipped cream, then drizzled with chocolate syrup, and vanilla ice cream on the side. What I had was the Baby size and it was still too much for me. 128517

What the f*ck! Thr waitress is so slow. Shr ask repeatedly what is our order when we just ordered. Our orders took 20 mins before it was served. So disappointed

Strawberry Matcha.

Honey Toast dusted with matcha green tea powder,  topped with cinnamon strawberries and green tea ice cream.

First,  i do not know why I ordered this,  i am not a fan of matcha.  Maybe i got swayed by the honey toast and the berries.  Customers can choose if they want the baby or regular size.  I picked the former,  serving is just right  and i wasnt planning imbibing a shitload of sugar that day.  I loved the honey toast,  not overly sweet,  just enough glucose to make your brain cells working.  And I am such a sucker for toast,  especially the ones from France.  The matcha/strawberry tandem is surprisingly good,  berries tones down the chlorophyll flavor of the matcha powder.  And yes,  the green tea ice cream is good too, adds depth to the honey toast.

Tried their famous and original Shibuya Honey toast. I didnt know how it would taste so I ordered a smaller size (cheaper) in case I wouldn't like it... but I did! It was divine. I loved how the waitress drizzled the honey on top of toast, and how the honey was served on the side. 128513 I wished the toast tasted more french-toastier though. It also kind of lacked a buttery feel. You know what I mean? Nevertheless, i enjoyed it. I will be definitely coming back for their matcha strawberry toast and dark chocolate crepe!!! 128515
