Super expensive here but I doubt there's anything affordable in City of Dreams. I got this Veal and Pork Roll for Php 270 and it's like a glorified Jamaican patty. It was good nonetheless so i'm giving 4 stars.

Wow this dinner just keeps getting better. *sarcasm*

After that very disappointing dinner over at Erwin's Gastropub, the oldies went to the casino, while I was stuck to accompany my brother who's only 18.

Since there's not much choices here, (how many times do I have to say that?!) we settled for Cafe Society.

No one assisted my brother and I. We were waiting for someone to direct us to a seat. Nope. So we just sat at a random table.

We perused the menu (wow big words HAHAHAHA) and kept trying to get the attention of the servers through eye contact. Nope. Wala talaga. If I did not raise my hand, no one would come to our table. Ano ba dito, self-service? 128530 Mukha ba kaming walang pambayad at tatambay lang?! 128530

I got their Don Papa Rum Cake. Because alcohol. Hahaaha! My god. It was so dry. Mas dry pa sa lovelife ng friends ko na itatago natin sa pangalang Kirby G, Dastine S at JP G. Labyululs guys!!! I had to have it reheated just to get some moisture.

Buti nalang masarap yung iced tea. 128557

sissum got bored in the hotel so we chilled here haha!
we tried their ice cream and it was okay, nothing beats cara mia pa din talaga (for me) haha
I had salted caramel and pistachio for 165 php
They're kinda pricey but it's not that bad naman!
The sissum had pistachio and cookies & cream and for a pistachio fan, she said she liked the cookies & cream more.
I scanned their menu and I saw that redbull costs 220 php which I can get for 75 php in any 7/11 store haha!
Nothing special here guys! Just pricey things hahaha!

I’ve always been quite fond of ice cream and trying out new ones always gets me so excited.

My friend and i had just finished dinner from Ruby Jack’s and we always grab a cup of joe or order desserts afterwards before we head home. This time, we ordered a scoop of BLACK SESAME and COFFEE ICE CREAM. A scoop is Php90 and 2 scoops is Php165. We ordered the Php165 of course.

The black sesame flavour had a sweet taste from the start but doesn’t leave that super sweet taste in the end. You can really taste the black sesame, it was actually good. Just not something i’ll be craving for though. The coffee flavour was sweeter with strong coffee flavour and i actually prefer this one more than the other. I would definitely order this flavour again for sure.

As for the coffee, we ordered a cup of CAPPUCCINO (Php160) and AMERICANO (Php 120). I had the cappuccino, it was good too.

I ordered Tuna Melt Bialy and Cinnamon Cream Cheese roll with cafe Americano, its all good but pricey. My daughter also liked the ham and cheese panini. They only offer snacks and sandwiches, this is unlike other cafes that has entrees. So if you're in City of Dreams and looking for a place to sit down and have coffee, this is the place for you but be ready to pay the high price.

On the photo:

• Moist chocolate cake - 150php (+ 12%)
• Pistachio raspberry sans rival - 240php (+12%)
• Green tea macadamia cookie - 144php

Visually, I love all three hehe 10084

Moist chocolate cake - This one is really good. Maybe one of the best chocolate cakes I've tried. It's not the very sweet type of cake. It's really moist. I love that it's bittersweet coz I love dark chocolate. Price to size of the cake I believe is just right. The quality of the chocolate used is definitely high end. If there's one cake that you must try, GET THIS. 127851

• Pistachio raspberry sans rival - This tastes good too. It's not your usual overly sweet and almost-like-butter kind of sans rival. The sweetness is just right. I love the texture. I love the pistachios on it.. BUT where is the raspberry? Didn't quite get the taste of that. Still a good dessert tho. But for the price, I think 240php (plus 12% for SC & local tax) is too expensive for this.

• Green tea macadamia cookie - This cookie looks good but I haven't eaten it yet. Lol. I had it to-go since my friends and I were too full to eat it. So I can't judge the taste yet hehe 128513

OVERALL, I loved my experience at Cafe Society. Servers were friendly and very accommodating. 128077

Red velvet wasn't worth it. Not worth 240 pesos. Service was too slow too. And wasn't pleasant at all.

The chocolate cake was good though. And it costs less-- 150.

I'll probably try their ice cream and cookie next time.

This place was packed when we tried it out and we just sat there waiting for a server to finally take our order. We waited around 10 minutes for them to finally notice my dad, me and my nakasimangot-sa-inis-at-boredom face.

I tried out their red velvet cake which wasn't super good and not bad either. It was average. I finished it anyway because I was hungry. Hahaha. I didn't know what the gold stuff on top of the cake was. It looked like fat droppings of rats so... I tried it and didn't like it lol. Or maybe it was because I had that image of rat droppings in my head...

Will I come back? Maybe not. Items were a bit pricey and didn't seem to be worth the extra money.

Since we are waiting for MMDA's coding scheme to be over, we decided to spend some time in this newly opened City of Dreams in Pasay.

I'm not into gambling so while they are busy with casino, I decided to try this coffee shop called Cafe Society. Nothing fancy but a bit expensive cafe located at the 2nd floor.

All their sandwiches cost around P270 to P300+. Their Patisserie, Quiche and Pie are around that price range as well.

Since I'm still full from our lunch, I decided to try their Moist Chocolate Cake and Apple-Jasmine Iced Tea. The cake is really moist and not too sweet. It has this melts-in-your-mouth effect! 128077 But the iced tea is a blah. How I wish starbucks is around the corner.

The service is good with friendly female staff. 128540

PS: I'd probably try their Honduras Hot Chocolate if its not scorching hot outside.

Just had a slice of chocolate cake and vanilla gelato. The cake was too sweet, while the gelato was ordinary accdg to my friend, nothing special.
I like that they provide power outlets (at least in our table, not sure if the other tables have too).

This was the only available option for coffee/dessert place, so had no choice.

I hope there'll be other options in the future..
