This was the top rated food resto in Vigan and the temptation to eat in this resto wasn't resisted. Quite fancy ambiance and the food are good too. The dishes are not salty which is a thumbs up for me. Recommend everyone to visit this when dropping by Calle Crisologo. And that "Pokpoklo" dish made our day..

Happen to be in Vigan?
This resto is a must try.
Located just around the Vigan Cathedral, Cafe Uno did not dissapoint.

They serve really good Ilocano dishes. Try their pinakbet and sinanglaw (beef innards soup) they also have a quaint little coffee/ cake shop where pastries look, smell, and taste delish!

Carrot cake- to die for! Moist and chewy. Even better than chocolate kiss' carrot cake! Too bad i couldn't bring home some to Manila; but hey, Cafe Uno really is one of the best restaurants in Vigan. But don't just take my word for it!

1. This charming cafe is located at Grandpa's Inn (which I also reviewed) where we stayed for the night during our getaway to Vigan.

2. The area we dined in was small and narrow (like some pub), although the cafe also has a bigger dining area (which we didn't notice at first). Brick-lined walls of course remind you of the ancestral homes in Vigan. The cafe was really charmingly antique.

3. Some of the drinks were only available at a certain time so we opted for the frappes instead. Just the usual frappes.

4. However, we were blown away by the Bagnet Miki (good for two). It was delicious, the noodles were firm, and the bagnet, though soaked up by the broth, remained tasty and was surprisingly not chewy. Delightfully "umami"

5. I liked their longsilog, which has of course their own Ilocos longganisa. Like the longganisang Lucban, the Ilocos longganisa is not sweet, and this is my kind of longganisa.

6. Affordable... At first we wanted to try the Grandpa's Classic Cake but we found out we had no more room for dessert. Busog e. 128512

6. Easygoing atmosphere, nice crew (one lady crew member even guided me to the restroom even though I didn't ask her for it). Grandpa's Inn and Cafe Uno are tops for me, giving us fonder Vigan memories.

One one of the must go places in Vigan. Their menu offers local Ilocos and western cuisines. Must try Okoy, Bagnet, Longanisa, Sansrival, Hot Choco and Benguet Arabica.

Service is good and the prices are affordable.

Affordable and really good food from Cafe Uno made our stay at Grandpa's Inn even better. Food was not oily or dry, both longganiza and tocino were really good. The fried rice was flavorful, they really had this garlic-y taste and had the right level of saltiness. 128525

Went here for a Vigan Nightcap! It was nice! Went here past 10pm, and it was still open. Ambiance was very warm and cozy. Loved the brick interiors too!

We ordered a slice of their Grandpa cake and a slice of Sansrival. Both were satisfyingly good!

In picture was my ordered Irish Cream latteccino. Tasted gooooood! Coffee + Bailey's = good night's sleep! Hehee

Everyone from my group loved their orders and the servers were kind and attentive! Next time we'll try their resto sister - Grandpa's Resto 128516

Carrot cake, blueberry cheesecake, Java chips frappe and sofetto smoothie. I really loved their sofetto smoothie if you're a yogurt lover ;)

The place's ambience is nice. :)

The place is good. The walls are made of bricks and it has an old spanish interior where it is good for taking pictures.

However, the service is bad. We waited for 30mins or more for our food to arrive. Some of us waited for an hour. It also took them almost an hour just to serve the hot chocolate and another hour for the coffee to arrive. We also kept on asking for vinegar and it arrived the time we were done eating.

I don't like their Vigan longganisa too coz it has an after taste. It must be eaten with their pickled radish for you not to notice the taste of their longganisa. Their hot chocolate is good though. It is made from real cocoa.

Im a bit disappointed coz Ive been anticipating to try this place in Vigan. Read good reviews about the place and their food. Not sure if it is just because its holy week that we went and the place is crowded or it has always been like that. Where the servers are not organized and doesn't even know how to serve properly like putting all of the drinks on just one side of the table when we have a long table, causing us to pass each cup till the farthest side of the table.

Tsktsk.

Cozy hole-in-the-wall coffee & restaurant. They serve a variety of cuisine but their specialty is Ilocano food. We got the vigan longaniza, sinigang na baboy & pakbet. I also ordered crispy bagis which is like crispy isaw baboy. I loved it! Must try! Their sinigang is super maasim! The vigan longaniza is saltier than the usual longanizas I've tried though. Was expecting something more spicy.

They also have pasta & other asian dishes in their menu.

Must try: crispy bagis

Whenever I would look back with my Vigan-Laoag- Pagudpud trip, I will always remember how good the food there was. Uno Cafe in
Vigan is one of the best restaurant I've ever tried in the country. They serve authentic ilocano foods like banget, pinakbet, longganisa rice etc. The ambience is difinitely relaxing and their price is surprisingly affordable.

For some reason, looloo just can't detect my location when I was in Ilocos, that's why I wasn't able to write reviews.

Anyway, Cafe Uno is one restaurant that's very classic and extraordinary. It's a place to go when in Vigan because they serve good-tasting food with a very interesting menu, especially Ilocano food. But more than that, it has its own fancy ambiance, one that embodies the culture and legacy Vigan is very well-known for. The interior walls is made up of old bricks and the place is brightly lighted with our famous yellow lights. And, the place is so cold! 128076

We go here for their pasta and frappes. I got their ham and bacon with white sauce, or simply, the carbonara they say is their best. I remember liking it the first time, but this time my taste buds just can't remember how it tasted as it was plain forgettable. But let's just blame my colds for that, it's very taste-depriving. I cannot, or rather prefer not to, say anything bad to this resto because for me, it's the best we have in Vigan. I recommend this to y'all who'd plan to have their own marvelous tour in this old but never too old civilization in the North. 128077
