The place looks kinda run down but at least cleanliness was maintained. Could do better with an upgrade in decors and interiors but looks fine if you're just looking for a small quiet place. I must also comment on the music--it helped set the ambiance of eating Italian food.

I ordered the Pesto Mare, but they only had squid available (supposed to have shrimp and mussels) 128530 still ok because pesto sauce was good. They also offered free iced tea coz they didn't have the seafood supposedly in my pasta. I also ordered a latte, but as you can see in the picture, it looks (AND tastes) more like mocha!

Can't really expect much from the place, price points are pretty budget-friendly, good if you want your dose of pasta craving.

Right after hearing the mass in Our Lady of the Abandoned Parish, our family headed out to Cafe Via Angelo which took a 3-5 minute walk.

It's already been awhile since this restaurant was established in Marikina. And we're aware of that. Since we're all planning to get rid of our hunger, why not grab the opportunity to try it out. Right?

As I entered their place, the atmosphere was a little bit loose. Maybe it's because of their dim lights or maybe their plain surroundings making the vibes less welcoming and engaging. Yet, when I ran over their menu, it was kind a surprising. They were preparing various kinds of dishes with that Italian twist. Also, their price seemed so affordable.

I had my Baked Lasagna for only P98. For me, it was a mix of that homemade style and greenwich-like of pasta with overflowing sauce. It was better than I've expected. Also, we've ordered Caesar Salad (P60), Chicken and Chips (P89), Cafe Latte (P60) and Cheese Pizza (P185).

It wasn't that bad afterall. Maybe the second time around, I will still order their Baked Lasagna and try their other dishes.

Just be reminded to bring a bucket full of patience, since it seemed like they only had one employee. Definitely had a poor service.

After mass, Papa wanted to eat light so we checked out this place near OLA Church.

Cafe Via Angelo has been in the area for quite some time now and it's our first time to try it out. We ordered their Caesar Salad (P65), Chix & Chips (P95), Cheese Pizza (P185), Lasagna (P95) and Caffe Latte (P60).

The salad was a bit sad as it wasn't that fresh and the taste of the sauce was like it's kind of old already. The chicken and chips were just OK, nothing too special about them. The sauce looked and tasted a bit weird. The pizza was just OK for me too. I especially liked the lasagna as the pasta was cooked really al dente and the sweet sauce was really addicting, nicely paired with the caffe latte that tasted more like chocolate.

If you live in Marikina, this should Strike up some interest. Its a small italian style that looks like a house turned into a resto. We pass by here a lot and decided to eat there finally a few days ago.

PLACE:
Has about 5-7 tables i think
With tv and aircon
Small but clean c.r.
Nice but weird coz they have balloons of krispy kreme then use straws branded The coffee bean

PRICE
not cheap
Pizza 300-400++
Pasta 180++
Appetizers 120++
Rice meals forgot

NOMNOMNOM
1. Fish and chips
- my favorite of all. I just like that the chips were mojos and not fries

2. Lasagna
- fair, nothing too special we think its too expensive For the amount. Feels like normal home-cooked lasagna but not bad

3. Special New york style pizza - 10" fixed size
- my bf likes it. I find it lacking in taste and has a bitter after taste

I would come back only to try other stuff in the menu but not the pizza or pasta. Thinking about the rice meals

Food here was ok and pricey though. It has a homy atmosphere but the place is enough for few people only. Bottomline, i find it OKAY.
