Biglaang napadpad sa Makati kahapon dahil naiwan ko ang susi ng Bahay sa luob so flash akong pumunta sa Makati to meet hubby and get the spare keys.

The three of us end at at this Cafe France branch dahil wala kami masyado makitang kainan.

The place was small and really looks a small cafe. I love Cafe France because of their Carbonara, Hubby ordered it and chocolate croissant. That's his favorite combination. He doesn't want to eat rice meals that time . While me, I'm a rice person and was stressed so I need to eat rice so I tried their hickory chops and mom just had a small croissant coz she had her lunch already at her ofc.

The service was fast, around 10 mins. Dapat lang coz dalawang babae lang kasabay naming kumakain. The chops was just ok, then according to hubby the carbonara medyo masabaw, bland128556 then the waitress gave us complimentary small pizza , tomato and cheese, it's new on their menu.

I think the cook is not in the mood to cook kaya ok lang ang taste ng food. But all I like is the plating and the plates and cups they used.

Maybe this branch is not for me but still I love Cafe France

I had their chocolate French Donut (aka croissant doughnut). While the chocolate filling and topping were okay, the donut was so oily, it made me really dizzy afterwards. Suffice to say I'm not eating another one despite my slight interest in the Salted Caramel flavor.

Their version of Cronuts and they call it French Donuts. This one is Salted Caramel, the others are Classic Chocolate and Lemon Custard.

This red velvet cupcake is a bit odd, frosting-wise. The cream cheese frosting has a smoother, finer texture, like it was made with a glossy egg white emulsion. It also tastes a bit different--the cream cheese is more savory. The sweetness is there, but it's not as pronounced as the cheesy tones. I'm not entirely sure I like it, but it's not nasty either. (Cupcake was a bit dry but maybe because it's half-price time already.)

Pastries are ok. Beef rice with egg is good but service is slow.

I've always loved their coffee at Café France. Their sandwiches are pretty decent too. But this particular branch doesn't seem to have very good air conditioning. There's just me and several other customers around but it's HOT in here.
