When it comes to dessert in bacolod people will surely point you to Calea Cakeshop. The interior of the place has that cute blue hue interior similar to some cupcake shop in manila. When you enter the place you will immediately see the wide array of cakes they serve. Which is quite overwhelming to choose from because they all look yummy. As recommended by my friend we tried blueberry cheesecake and their chocolate cake. The blueberry cheesecake was better love the crust that tasted like an oatmeal cookies. For the chocolate cake it is divided in two layer of chocolate cake with custard ice cream in the middle. The cake was moist and not too sweet. Wanna try the other cake but I was already so full maybe next time. 128523

Calea Bake Shop in Bacolod is one of the best cakes I have tasted in Philippines.. The Cakes 128077128077 the best one out of all.. If you are in Bacolod pick Calea instead of Felicia's, the taste and the texture is a big big difference.. The Price 128077128077 the cake ranges to P85-P95.. For me there Mango Royal Cake and Chocolate Cake are one of the Best!

Calea is the place to be in Bacolod if you're craving for something sweet. It's a cake heaven with very affordable prices. I noticed that most of the people flying back to Manila have a box or two from Calea.

I'm fortunate to have a good friend in Bacolod City who sends a box of Calea chocolate cake when he gets a chance (such as when he has a friend or relative traveling to Manila). I was lucky this time that the cake was more moist and chocolatey-er than the last time. Probably because I got the package on the same day that it was bought from the shop in Bacolod.

The cake is a two-layer moist chocolate cake with white custard filling and thick chocolate icing. As I said in my first review, this seems to be a modern version of the good old Cookie Monster chocolate cakes of the 80s. This cake brings back very fond childhood memories!

One of the places you have to visit when you are in bacolod. Calea offers the most delicious pastries in the city.

Hooked on the first bite. I can say from the 2 slices of cakes I had that all the reviews are true. Their cakes are to die for.
Their cakes is one of the reasons why I decided to go to Bacolod alone while my friends went to Concepcion, Iloilo. And I will go back this October to Bacolod for Masskara festival and of course, for Calea cakes.

What I had tried:

Coffee fudge cheesecake: 1108811088110881108811088

The place and how it was designed caught my attention. From the rustic, shabby, chic door to the complimenting baby blue and light yellow pastel hues matched with washed white furnitures and fixtures.

Moving forward. I wouldn't give this place that much credit just because of the design! And right enough, the cakes were just as amazing as how my eyes bled to its interiors! I am inlove with the place, with the cakes and with the coffee!

Calea is just rightfully worthy to pop my Looloo cherry!!

A very kind officemate brought a slice of Calea's chocolate cake to the office today. As it was a few days weary from travel, the cake was a tad dry although still delicious and not overly sweet. There was a generous layer of custard filling in the middle and there was still some sheen on the chocolate icing. This is how I remember chocolate cakes in my youth -- no-fuss yet full of chocolatey flavor. Thanks to our generous supplier of goodies and sweets!

Just like what grandma used to bake. Not that my grandma really did bake great cakes (she was based in the province where food was cooked on firewood-fed stoves). But I think that would how the product's tag line would go.

Calea's Chocolate cake is a double-layer moist chocolate cake topped with thick chocolate icing, with white custard filling. It is a super moist cake packed with home-cooked goodness from Bacolod City. It reminds me of the similarly moist chocolate cake of Cookie Monster from the yesteryears!

You would see this cake shop at any other place in the philippines. We had coffee cheesecake and apple pie and we really like and love it. It's sweetness is just right and perfect to pair it with hot coffee. You wouldn't say, 'I've been to bacolod.' If you haven't been at their shop and tasted their products. They also serve sandwitches, salads and pastas. Price is just right.

Cake, cake, cake!

I spent around P1,800 on I-don't-remember-how-many slices of cake! Why? My cousins and I decided to test everything!

Since it was conveniently located in front our hotel we brought it up to my mom's suite and had a cake party there while she went out with her sisters to play mahjongg at our tita-lola's place.

After all the cake testing I have decided that my favorite is the White Chocolate Cheesecake and the Raspberry Ice Cream one that I forgot the name of.

I couldn't remember what I ordered or what i was eating. Trust me, no matter how much you love cake - never go full retard and have a cake party.

I did go back to their store the next day for after-lunch desserts with a high school friend.

The place was really nice. It was designed in pastel colors and played along a modern theme. They really should think of franchising in Manila. I think it'll be a hit!

After the sumptuous lunch or dinner at Aboy's head to this place for a great dessert with you coffee favorite. Good thing this place is right across my frequented hotel, L' Fisher.... So accessible to go back for more

Wow there are a lot of choices but I liked their Apple Pie version. 9757
