This was my first time ever to try eating at California Pizza Kitchen even if it has been in existence since the first time I entered ATC. Thank you so much @looloo for the gift certificates! I suggested ATC for our family Sundate since it was the nearest mall with CPK. We went there on a Sunday. It was past lunchtime already but the place was still jam-packed. We had to wait for 20 minutes before we were given a table. We ordered the following:

127829The Original BBQ Chicken (Regular – Php 395) – finally, I had the chance to taste one of their all-time best sellers. This pizza was generously topped with smoked chicken, red onions, cilantro and their signature BBQ sauce. The edges of the crust were crispy and I enjoyed every bite. My grandmother, who dislikes anything that tastes like Tex-Mex food, did not finish her slice but the rest of us loved it!

127837Spaghetti Carbonara (Sharing – Php 695) – spaghetti was topped with Applewood smoked bacon, peas and parsley and was tossed in cheese cream sauce. It was served with 4 peaces of garlic bread. We all loved it and literal na walang natira128514)

127865Mango-Watermelon Combo Shake (Php195) – They say that two is better than one 128513128517. I haven’t tried this fruit combo before so I ordered it and it tasted really good. It was so refreshing.

Overall, we had a wonderful experience at CPK. We had to wait for a while since the place was packed but I would give 5 stars for the crew. They were friendly, approachable and very accommodating. The place was kinda hot and dark but we still enjoyed because of the good food and service.

Happy Pizza Day, in CPK's case, two days. CPK ATC has been in existence since the new wing was built. More than 15 years ago (more or less). Dined here a couple of times and on those repeated occassions it was a mediocre experience. Food was good but service will leave you wanting. It is obvious from the interiors and lights that this particular branch needs an upkeep. It is rather dark. Upon entering the restaurant, it reeked the smell of freshly chopped onions, not that i am complaining, i love red onions except my friends.

On to the pizzas! We ordered the Apple Gorgonzola cheese pizza and two BBQ Chicken pizzas and for the free pizzas two bacon salami pizzas and a hawaiian pepperoni pizza. The crust was soft and crisp on the edges and the toppings were generous. I love the tanginess of the barbecue sauce complimented the sweetness of the red onions. Delicious!

If not for the graciousness of our server, Ram we could have rated this lower but his friendly demeanor totally turned everything around. He was apologetic when it was not explained that they only accepted Visa and Mastercard debit cards which caused a little ruccus. He was quick to get the bill and wrapped our leftover pizzas.

The place was hot! It was dark and smelled like a wet kitchen. The pizza and Ram saved the day! Thank you for the anniversary tshirt.

1108811088110881108811088 Still love their salad! The one with BBQ sauce. 128522
Not good with names sorry! 128513
I just remebered it with more bbq sauce before. But still one of my faves in the salad department!

11088110881108811088 Marinara pasta
Hmm. Not sure why they had to ask what pasta i want but i am glad they did because I'd always go for penne. 128522

11088 11088 11088 i think that's a carbona with lots of garlic. You won't miss the garlic flavor on your first bite.

Service quality 128077128077128077128077128077
Amazing staff! Even if the place is jam packed because it's lunch time, they still manage to smile everytime you ask something. 128076

My mum and I went to dine at CPK to spend some quality time. This restaurant is not really on my radar that much and I cannot say the reason why. Maybe because we just often pass by it when we enter the mall and would not give a second thought or the type of food they serve is just not my thing. Anyway, we did dine here and equally enjoyed the experience. Ordered their Thai Crunch Salad, this by the way is really delicious! Half serving is enough for the both of us. We also ordered pizza, the BBQ chicken one which is one of their bestsellers. Don’t forget their refillable iced tea in lemon or raspberry. Personally, I love the lemon flavour but you can always interchange if you ask nicely!

The service is spot on. Price point maybe a bit higher than my usual joints. Food quality is great! I would definitely come back to sample more of the offerings in their menu. There are actually lots of interesting dishes.

Thai Crunch Salad for the win! 128514 I do not always dine at CPK but when I do, I quite enjoyed it. I guess when you do not go to certain place often, you get to be excited on what to eat and what to expect. Since we went during lunch and a weekday, there are only a few servers present. It was hard to get their attention and food was not served promptly. Like for examples, we ordered an appetiser and that was served last. (uhm okay, aren't appetisers supposed to be served first not last?)

Anyway, we did not mind that much. We enjoyed the pizza, the pasta and salad. I also love their refillable lemon iced tea. Sweet but I like it, you can always add water to adjust the sweetness to your liking.

My friend is celebrating her birthday so we made parinig that it was her birthday and they gave us an ice cream with a candle. That is a sweet gesture too!

Will definitely dine here again even if I am alone. They have a bar and I wonder if I could order my food and drinks over there. 128518 Seems like fun to have alone time every once in a while.

I seriously think that the best part of training for a race is the day before the race. That's because I get to carbo-load. And my philisophy is that if I'm going to do that, then might as well do it where I love pasta the most, California Pizza Kitchen. My choice for the deed is CPK's Mushroom Truffle Fettucine with Cream Sauce.

This is another one of those feasts that delight several of my senses. For the eyes, a picture perfect pasta presentation. Visible mushrooms and pureed truffle on top of a huge plate of fettucine. For the nose, a wonderful aroma of truffle and grated parmessan wafting through the air. And for the mouth, a delicious light cream punctuated by truffle, mushrooms and parmessan.

Carbohydrates are fuel for the long run. They take longer to break down so are perfect for energy needs in about 8 to 12 hours. And so when I attack that long uphill route tomorrow, I'm going to be thinking of CPK's fettucine and praying it fuels both my mind and body!

CPK's hand-tossed five cheese pizza with tomatoes was great! You would know from the quality of the cheese and dough. I do wish I asked more tomatoes 128540

Just to liven my mood, I ordered brewed coffee. I did find it quite strong but lacks flavor. I didn't bother asking their blend but honestly, I do find the arabica from 7-Eleven and McDo better than this blend.

Service was ok but the staff seem quite serious (missed the old CPK service here), perhaps because closing time was just an hour away.

CPK is known for its pizza & pasta. For me CPK is an upper-middle class pizza joint, a little bit expensive compare to some pizza chains. I suggest, if you're a heavy eater like me I would go somewhere else, but hey my wife enjoyed the food & that's good for me...CPK's food is more of a vegetarian...healthy...small...diet type (really not my thing). Servings were kinda small for me. The taste was there & I liked it.

So here's what we ordered:
* Quesadilla > "A MUST TRY!"
* the original bbq chicken pizza > "was great, but smelled weird like their is an Indian/arabic spice to it, the bbq sauce was actually good, & the dough was great"
* Garlic cream fettucine > "plain & simple, better try another one if I were you."

Im a happy customer whenever Im at CPK. They never disappoint everytime I visit. Great food and great customer service.

What I also like about CPK is their group promo. For the price of P985++ you get one whole pizza, Bolognese Spaghetti, Fresh Salad and a pitcher of lemonade and raspberry each. You really get what you pay for. This is good for 3 to 4 people.

The place is clean and the food is always fresh. I am sure this won't be my last visit. 128522

PS: Kudos to Freddie who is our server! Keep up the good job!

Been craving good Margherita pizza for weeks now and found one here. I got quite disappointed that it did not have tomato slices. The kids loved their thin-crust Quattro formaggi pizza. The Portobello Mushroom Ravioli was good, same with the Quesadilla. Overall, CPK is a good, kid-friendly place.

Their pizzas are so yummy! Tried their vegetable pizza for the first time and was not disappointed. Also enjoyed their creamy soups although it wasn't anything special. Their booths were a bit cramped though. Kinda made it feel more fastfood-y. If you like space, find a seat near the windows instead.

✅ Kung Pao Spaghetti -- Personal (P275)
A Chinese classic with garlic, scallions, peanuts and hot red chillies

Originating from the Sichuan province in China, the dish has always been historically known as Kung Pao Chicken or in Chinese, Gong Bao Chicken.

To shorten and simply call it "kung pao" smells like a money-making scheme more than culinary creativeness.

How so, you might ask?

Well, chicken plays no part in CPK's version of the dish. If you wish to make it legitimate and true to its roots, you can request for chicken at an additional cost of P50. #iseewhatyoudidthere

You can argue that this a pasta variant of that dish. Even so, kung pao should have chicken, even with the introduction of noodles.

This review probably would have gone the other way had that P50 add-on included chicken pieces rather than bits, or more servings of either.

My friends and I ordered their fun+friends promo(?) which was for 999, we were a little worried that the servings might not be enough for us three but surprisingly, the servings were a lot more than we expected. We were given three choices for each dish- a salad, pasta and pizza. We chose the house salad, penne alfredo and their super cheesy pizza. The service was quick, everything tasted good except the pizza. I guess it was too floury so it turned out to be so hard to bite into, it wasn't crispy at all! Sad cos I actually liked their pizza the few times I ate here, but I guess I'll just let it slide since this was the first time I encountered it in this restaurant. The service was okay, they were efficient, I don't know if it's because they were busy with the other customers but we had a little bit of a hard time getting their attention to ask for condiments, etc.

Although I was glad the server that we got was nice enough to tell us that if we added 120pesos, we would already get a jar of iced tea (unlike what we originally planned to order which was their bottomless iced tea for 110 each) 128076

I really love their Original BBQ Chopped Salad! I'll definitely would order it next time I visit here. It was unique and taste really good! The Hawaiian Pizza was absolutely something playful. It wasnt any typical pizza, its like the ingredients were zoomed out from the plate. The quesadilla was not for me since its spicy and I'm not a fan of spicy food but its tolerable and I enjoyed it as well. Lastly, Singapore Spring Rolls, its a mix of thin noodles, shrimp, mushrooms and veggie cuts wrapped with a sweet bagoong like dip for appetizer.

Overall experince, I'm a satisfied customer indeed. Even if the couches have tight spaces when you sit and servers were not very accomodating at first, but who cares, food is good and so does my tummy! 128541

I have a thing for Italian food especially pizzas. But this time I felt cheated. Sorry, I dislike bland pizzas, pastas, etc. I expect them to be highly flavorful because Italian cuisine is known for various spices. Everything we ordered, The works, Carbonara and Chicken were all bland. Thanks to Parmesan cheese and table salt. Sad but poor service too.128566

Always a pleasure to eat here. Their salads are particularly delicious. Try their Goat's Cheese Pizza. It is light on the stomach but quite flavorful.

Rated this restaurant with 3 stars because I didn't like the fried mozzarella sticks. They weren't as crispy as expected. Although, I really enjoyed the Spinach Artichoke Dip & Baked Penne Florentine!
