The food we ordered in CPK was not what I expected and I am saying this neither in a good or bad way.

I expected the caesars salad to be on the salty side but it turned out a bit sour. It reminded me of the sicilian salad in Italliani's. The quattro formaggi was sweet. It was supposed to have a 4 cheese combo but it tasted like tomatoes. The baked penne was good though but i felt that the garlic flavor did not belong to the rich cheesy taste.

Not bad, but not whoa so good! Steady lang.

Its been awhile since my last time here- New menu, good steak pizza, four cheese is better than Bistro pasta chain. Truffle pasta, penne and nacho appetizer dip- pumpkin soup for a pleasant surprise.

I had merienda here earlier along with my aunt and some cousins.

Our orders:
Mozz Sticks
Pepperoni Pizza (kids menu)
Chicken Bbq Sandwich
Bolognese

Everything was pretty great except for my cousin's order with was the sandwich.

The service was just okay. I find it hard to call the attention of the waiters especially when they don't roam around much.

The Original BBQ Chicken Pizza was good, Porkchop was not. It was tough and dry.

Service was good but you'll struggle finding the servers.

I can't say enough great things about California Pizza Kitchen. I have been to over 20+ pizzerias in the Metro, and The Prosciutto is still THE BEST thin-crust slice I've had...by far.

The crunch of the crispy olive oil soaked crust, the tangy tomato sauce, and the Italian Prosciutto that crisps and curls in the oven are the stuff that dreams are made of. This pizza with change your life and it is almost 'too good' that nothing you ever eat after this will live up to it.

Their hand-tossed pizzas are also excellent but I am a thin-crust pizza lover and that's why I am advocating for it. 128513 CPK goes beyond the expected standard pizza you find and expect elsewhere. Here, I would say the pizza tastes artisan. Solid pizza, highly recommended!

P.S. Oh, and they also have delivery service so if you're not in the mood to go out, know that you can get a box of your favorite CPK pizza to devour by yourself at home. And don't hate yourself for it... It's worth it! 128513127829

Cheers,
Mickey

Haven't been back here in along while. In fact they had transferred location. Glad I decided to try it again. The ambience was good and the service by waiter Enzo was outstanding. The food was delicious, especially the grilled veggie and goat cheese pizza.

There's a new korean pizza in town! Topped with veggies and beef but the bad thing is, the taste is bland 128532 or probably because it's new in the menu, they haven't gotten enough feedbacks on this one.

Said branch has now moved to the mall's newer East Wing, and is on its third day of operations as of this writing. Branch manager and front of house staff were courteous, though it was a bit difficult to get their attention later on due to the influx of customers. (I counted about three attendants taking and serving orders, and the branch manager had to chip in for said tasks.)

The food we ordered, however, is a different story. CPK revamped its menu and, frankly speaking, it didn't really offer anything different from other establishments offering the same type of cuisine (think Italiannis). Rice lovers, be warned: you won't find your favorite grain here.

My family and I had a personal-sized serving of the Spinach Artichoke Dip with tortilla chips (PhP250.00). Good enough, but it could be of a thicker consistency (it seemed too watered down for us). I liked that it had some blue corn tortilla chips on the side, as it's said to be healthier than the regular kind.

I had the Fettuccine with Mushroom Truffle Cream Sauce (PhP395.00, good for one person). It had a generous amount of truffle oil, and the noodles were cooked al dente. But for its price, the serving size cannot be justified.

My niece ate the Crispy Chicken with Fries (PhP325.00), which is one of CPK's Child's Menu offerings. I wasn't able to try it; but judging from my niece's reaction, it must have tasted fine. The ranch sauce served with the chicken fillet strips, however, was obviously watered down (cost-cutting so early?).

My mom and sister shared the Grilled Veggie + Goat Cheese Crispy Thin Pizza (PhP595.00, see picture). Alas, this was the weakest dish among our family's orders due to the following reasons:

1. They ran out of arugula, a necessary topping for this pizza variant. My mom requested that in lieu of the arugula, there would be double the usual amount of Pecorino Romano cheese on top (to which the branch manager acceeded). But, lo and behold, the Pecorino looked very sparsely sprinkled over the pizza. And, this was the second time my sister ate here with an ingredient running out at late afternoon, and well before dinnertime when there would be more dine-in customers;

2. We could barely taste the balsamic dressing that was supposedly drizzled over the pizza. Come to think of it, we didn't notice any balsamic dressing over the pizza;

3. The crispy thin pizza was, alas, chewy instead; and

4. It was obvious that the cherry tomatoes were tossed in olive oil and added AFTER the pizza was taken out of the oven. The pizza could've had more flavor if the tomatoes were on top before it was cooked.

For a food chain that has been in the Philippines for more than a decade, I expected much from CPK's revived Shangri-La Plaza branch. The kitchen should always be stocked with complete ingredients. They should also work better on not compromising their pizzas' quality; after all, pizza is supposed to be their star entree, right?
